Completely agree. Have 2017 XD, pull 5th wheel 11k lbs. Live in TX, towed to Disney World, Ohio, Kansas, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Louisiana. Not a single issue. Great truck.
I want to purchase a 5th wheel hitch because I want to purchase a toy hauler the weight of the toy hauler is about 11,800 You think my 2017 xd will pull it..looking at a Reece 16k hitch
Nice set up!! 👌 I love my 2017 xd. I do also have 50 gal titantank plus air lift. Not deleted yet.. I would love to step up to a 5th wheel.. I was not sure it could pull that much.. I certainly tow a21 foot toyhauler weighs about 9k loaded.. does pull easy tho. 💯
Go for it. It can do it. The reflection I pulled is 11k filled to the teeth. Empty is 9500. Your truck is more than capable, and fifthwheel towing is easier than bumper pull.
I bought a 5th wheel 2022 28sawl wanderer toyhauler.. tows pretty good so far.. it's 8640 dry.. I don't plan on maxing it out.. it does have a gvwr of 12k.. but so far so good.. Love it tho .. it's defenatly a game changer to our life's on the road and in the 🏜..
Thanks for the review. Solid truck! The only slight correction is that you mentioned they dont make XD anymore. They do but only with gas engine. The same frame/chassis but different engine and tranny. Still very solid truck.
Is all 50 gallons actually available to you. I read some reviews that you can’t actually access all 50 gallons. I have a 2016 XD Pro-4x w/Cummins. Love the truck!
Just because towing capacity says your ok, doesnt mean you are. Especially with a goose ball or 5th wheel trailer. You're already over payload capcity. Adding the fuel tank you'll probably be a min of 1000lbs over. Its not if something will fail, its when.
Do you have enough space in front of the hitch to add a toolbox? I'm still torn between the demco recon or the curt 5th wheel hitch that plugs into factory puck system
The demco does the same, you do have space for a mid size tool box. I carry a small generator and an ice chest in that area. My titan has the titan box on each side for tools
@@gilbertangeles5699 thanks for replying. I now see demco has a top rail system to allow standard 5th wheel rails to attach to the Titan XD factory pucks. Now I can add a slider hitch and free up even more space.
Yikers! I'll share this with you and then I'll leave it to you. Go to a CAT scale and check your numbers. I've been searching for some rvs that I can tow with my truck. I have a Titan Platinum Reserve. They say my payload is 1600 lbs. They are wrong. My payload capacity on my truck is 1267 lbs. If I put myself, family and gear, then attach an 8000 lb trailer to the back, I'd be way overloaded. Not good. So check your numbers to make sure. I hope that helps
@@gilbertangeles5699 well I hope to delete mine soon. I have a 2017 with 44k miles. I just want more fuel economy and better response. I already have k&n cold air intake.
How does the demco recon work with the turning point hitch is it compatible with the turning point? Or did you have to put the pinbox in locking position so it would work with demco hitch?

Great trucks, no need for the 2500 or above ect..

I need help, I’m glad you were able to go all those places without any issues! Will I need a 5 wheel hitch or will the normal gooseneck do?
Love my 2017. My sister bought one for her farm after driving mine. It’s used regularly to tow 12000-15000lbs of hay weekly These trucks are amazing!
Just pick one up last week love it so far
You won't regret it. It can tow more than what the numbers show

You're right, very good point. Thanks.
My 19 has a 50 gallon tank from Titan Fuel Tanks
Isn't it awsome ? You get to stop less. I already did it also from the same manufacturer as you.
I have the titan tank
Works flawlessly 👍👍🤠

the truck is capable of far more than it’s rated for. very under rated
Love my 18 Titan
Heck yes. It can tow

Nice setup. Any idea what your payload and pin weight is?
1500 lbs pin weight, payload 2200. I try to only carry 5 gal of water on the freshwater tank. And fill up only 40 gal of diesel instead of the 50.
@@gilbertangeles5699 are you sure? That's a Platinum Reserve and it's usually between 1700-1900 lbs.
I got those # from the dealership when I bought it in 2019. Never looked back since
