Jahan Dotson is a slot receiver and we took him in the 1st round. Quan Martin still has no identity, we don't know what position to play him at. Mathis is a bust (so far), Jamin Davis is mid, Chase Young over Herbert will live in my memory forever. I don't see more than 7 wins for this team, and I'm okay with that as long as Daniels looks legit. Also, I called this already, Hartman will be QB2.

That was not so terrible, but in retrospect taking Forbes over Gonzalez might have been a drastic error. I just checked. Commanders gave up pick #12 in 2022 for picks #16 (Dotson), #98, and #120. If Dotson plays up to potential this year, I'd say that was OK.

It was like open season on cooking the secondary. Forbes was tasked with defending A.J. Brown, who gave our entire secondary fits and the league, when he should have been defending Devonte Smith. Next our coaching staff threw him under the bus, backed up and ran him over again, again and again. All of this his rookie season. Let this dude play and earn his position.
We could have had Joey Porter Jr or a handful of othet corners last year, could have had McKinstry AND Dejean this year but nope still no true CB1. Forbes looks even smaller than he did last time
IMO at this point you keep Dyami with him going into the last year of his contract and use this as a prove it or gone year, I think that some put of course not all of Dyami's issues have been a mixture of coaching and bad QB play. Also on top of that there have been reports that Dyami is one of if not the best blocking WR we have right now and that should hold a lot of weight being Adam Peters came from SF where WR blocking was a huge I mean hell they had a saying there "No block no rock". And for the John Allen trade talks to me this isn't the right time to be trading him especially with Newton recovering from his second foot surgery. If you were thinking about trading Allen I think your best time to get the best value would be at the trade deadline when teams that think they got a shot at a deep playoff run will over spend in a trade hoping that is the piece they are missing to win a chip.
