Remember when everyone thought the DQ hiring was a horrible hire? This is going to end up being the best Head Coach hiring next season. Calling it now. He's had success at every level ans team he has coached at... Also, Bobby Wagner is the key to this team being successful or not. He's the 2010s version of Ray Lewis, and his on-field leadership will be very important
People act like he couldn't learn from his failures at Atlanta either.
I think they had a good draft and think Wagner will provide some much needed leadership but he’s not the same player he was and you’re setting yourself up to be disappointed if you expect a pro bowl performance. A nice addition - yes, but not the stud he was.

Commanders had a lot of cap space for Adam to work without. What i like what he did. He used some of it. Not like the other Redskins regime who would have used all that money on a player or two max. He got a lot of players and still has money in the bank.
I liked that they are all 2-3 year contracts so we will be able to evaluate who is worth keeping. Very low risk and very high reward
The defense is going to be so scary. Everyone is a dawg on that defense and it all starts with the defense. If they can stay off the field and give our offense some time to do things, sky’s the limit
They are still pretty questionable at corner and safety. I like Sainistril, but he's the only DB that seems to be a worthy starter

Honestly, we were saying this last year too with our d line and after getting Forbes to play with Kam and Fuller. We all know how that turned out... I hope our D learns the new scheme quickly and can hold itself together. I'm not getting hype just yet.
Washington has not had a solid MLB since London Fletcher.
Washington now has Big Bobby Wagner. Even in the twilight of career, he led the NFL last year with 183 tackles. That’s INSANE!!
What? I thought 100 - 120 was a lot of tackles. And Wagner is old but not beat up. I think he'll be like Fletcher who played I think 18 years.

I can't wait to see Sainristil play for my team. The only part that makes me nervous is the last time I was this excited to see a newly drafted player play defense for the Redskins it was Chase Young.

Only real Commanders fans know that Ron and Jack were stuck in 1990. Anybody with even a single ounce of knowledge of modern NFL passing offenses will be an upgrade.

It’s pathetic how they couldn’t get it right once. Hey Kam Curl was a 7th round pick that they let walk to the Rams. I’m so happy we have Adam Peters and Josh Harris now

Perhaps were getting the best secondary since '79 when we had 3 Pro Bowlers (Both CBs Lamar Parrish and Joe Lavender, HoF S Ken Houston and 1 future Pro Bowler a young Mark Murphy at FS who would eventually became a pro bowler before being in the Packers front office.
I hope your right about Emmanuel Forbes, I must admit I was very disappointed with his performance last season.
He was horrible.

I agree with you. The Redskins got two first round picks this season: Daniels & Forbes. How many players, including Forbes, did the old management play in the wrong position and/or scheme? SMH
Forbes will be better. DB's haven't caught up to the NFL learning curve like WRs just yet. In general it still takes good college DBs 1-2 years to catch up to the NFL game. Better coaching and scheme will benefit this secondary tremendously, however going worst to first is a stretch. Should be fun to watch particulasrly if they're playing with a lead instead of the latter.
So many NEW players, New coaches And New offensive and defensive system. More work still to be done. Kool-aid sitting in the fridge.

Emanuel Forbes got man handled at the NFL level. Talent is great but he's not playing against boys anymore. If he rolls into camp 175 pounds again, he'll be gone buy the end of the year.
Coaching was bad also, Dan Quinn will help him a lot

It is nice to highlight positives Commanders have done. But AP, DQ, and all reporters were united before the draft that th O line, OT specifically needed the MOST work. And it still looks like a joke there. I love Wash, and have been a fan for 50+ years, but that o line is disgustingly short of talent. I fear for JD's health and well being. The pocket is gonna get him hurt b4 his running style does.
