My issue with Tarkov's bipod system is that, when you want it to work, it absolutely doesn't. Want to post up on a rock with your bipod down on a sniper rifle? Nope, can't do that without either aiming at the sky or the floor beneath you. Reserve's observatory is notorious for this as well. Not to mention, you can't bipod up on many of the waist level surfaces. You also can't aim up or down much with the bipod active. Insurgency Sandstorm's bipod system is 10x better as it allows a decent amount of free movement without making it completely impossible to set up before you get killed. And when Tarkov's bipod works, it's when you can barely see down a corridor, or you're on level ground to your target, which isn't going to happen often enough to make sense.
My issue is the inflated kda these armies of scavs give you. Sure, I'm an average player with a meme gun like the PB Pistol, but my kda makes me look like a pro or cheater when I have to fight 20 scavs in White Knight during a Reserve run. Because once you kill one, the entire map of A.I. runs to "investigate"
How dare you smoke a single PMC AI and the entire maps worth of scavs converge on the bodys exact location to try and loot it, black knight or the 2nd floor of interchange has me coming out of raid with 30+ kills every goddamn time
I think the hugest problem with Tarkov right now for me is the audio. Majority of the time when I am in fights, I have no idea where the enemy is, given the spotty audio cues that footsteps or gunshots make, which is terrible, because it makes me feel as though I was cheated. I know Tarkov has had this issue for a long time now, but how hard is it to really gather feedback that the community has given about what needs to be improved, and implementing that
What’s funny is that audio has always been broken and always been the worst part of each wipe but because people got so used to the broken audio, it doesn’t really feel like it is. It’s like “welp what did you expect lol”
been saying this since you first started worrying about your channel. Your delivery and introspection to the topic at hand is why i subbed, not because of tarkov content. Follow your heart, dont feel forced to make tarkov content if you arent enjoying the game.
Finally a refreshing take from a casual tarkov player. Not the whiny no life’s who played 6months of content in 2 weeks and now claim its the worst wipe.
@@Dominique9325 the people that started treating EOD players like unheard players will always baffle me. we were promised so much before, THAT's why we have it.
@@userb1x1 I merely mean that it's from the perspective of someone who doesn't need to grind nearly as much to get somewhere. I didn't specifically attack EOD players. In fact, 99% of the people who say they love the "early wipe feel" are EOD players, you won't hear almost a single standard edition player saying that. Another thing, with all the ammo changes and stuff, if you start wipe late, you're going to suffer, you're gonna struggle to kill damn near anything unless you get lucky and hit a face shot. Meanwhile, besides their standard benefits that make early wipe more comfortable for them, they can also skip it entirely and just play arena until they unlock flea market. People are levelling absurdly quickly this wipe because of it. Also, let's not forget the new EOD exclusive tasks, most of which are easy as piss and they give absurd amounts of EXP (upwards of 70k or 100k exp). From my perspective, this is not a good wipe. I guess it's a bit of my fault that I started the wipe a month late, though I was having second thoughts about playing the wipe at all. From the perspective of someone who doesn't have any of the benefits EOD and unheard edition players have, this wipe doesn't feel enjoyable really. Also, just on a sidenote, I didn't experience much of the new factory but I've experienced enough to tell that it's way too dark.
My tism makes me enjoy the accurate plate coverage. Airwingmarine nailed it I think. As a system it’s a great idea, the issue is you’d need to overhaul damage as well because as it is, it doesn’t much work for Tarkov. Though I just play SPT nowadays and live out my RAID series larp fantasies so…
You literally don't. It worked fine, the players just didn't like that they can't tank scavs. It produced realistic results, it doesn't matter how it worked internally.
@@Kisel228-fp8iz no, they weren't programmed to do so, no, they weren't worthless. Everyone was running around in class 6 the moment they could. It's just copium. I was dying to scavs more often in the wipe when the scavs were cracked, I barely died to them in 0.14, because I quickly learned that I can no longer rely on armor and *stopped tanking their shots*. It was a skill issue and nothing else, the game was fine and it worked as intended. Especially in PvP.
@@ForOne814 the results were realistic but not fun, even when playing very meticulously. I think they made a good compromise, but they could've added organs and vitals to make the old plates more fun.
Normally I would never die to scavs the whole wipe and laugh at people on reddit saying scavs killed them out of nowhere, but this ain't it. I have to fight an entire village worth of scavs to extract.
Scavs have been absolutely insane this wipe. They have killed me much more than players and in way more frustrating ways. Always some form of head/neck head/throat. It just isnt fun being oneshot by a scav 40 meters away in half a second.
@@mr.catface-2635 You are right, I have played this game for thousands of hours and I never considered quitting a wipe for anything like cheaters etc. but the ai situation is so bad that I actually entirely stopped playing. I am waiting for a fix or a change.
No they’re not, I specifically remember the wipe they released streets of tarkov, they were way more broken, I had atleast 10 deaths to AI scavs within the first couple days of wipe. I honestly have had zero issues with scavs outside of homing grenades this wipe.
I only play PvE, and some raids are literally hell with like 30 scavs running down for me (sometimes I get out of there others I can only delay the swarm) and some raids it's a fucking ghost town with only some gunshots from far away AI PMC. They really need to tune the AI. Even so, I'm enjoying this wipe at least playing PvE I don't have to stop going to my university classes just to get good gear and get tier 4 traders
How do you deal with the goon squad? They seem to hunt me down across the map in pve. I can sometimes get knight and big pipe down but birdeye is silent and always seems to kill me.
I understand what you mean, I had a interchange game where I saw 0 scavs and then the next raid I killed 32 scavs in 10 minutes and died to 3 more rushing me as I was hiding behind a desk packing my mag for 6th time in a raid, I was going for XP and KILLA but alas the game had other ideas
Man i just hate the bugs. Dogtags saying "Died", scavs walking through doors, scavs spinning like balerina when looting, granades bouncing out of air, immortal scavs that take 6 headshots to be killed, hit registration issues. Man i can talk about it whole day.
Me and my buddy have a clip of me shooting a scav 6 times in the head with a 7.62 mdr than the scav 180 dies with a grenade in his hand and kills me shit was hilarious
Tarkov is a meme at this point. Let me just remind you that this game released 7 years ago and they still didnt fix any major issues like cheaters & audio, which is somehow even worse than it was on release. Instead of focusing on core stuff to make the game playable they rather spend their time and resources on crap like weapon mounting and bipods and tripwires.
@@shakk85 The audio and broken scavs are much bigger issues than cheaters at this point. I feel like the situation is little bit better with overall cheating in Tarkov now, but I was mainly hitting up on the fact that to this day we still have zero ways to review our deaths. Most of the times you wont even realize that you got killed by a cheater because there is no death cam or even an option to download a replay after the raid ends. If this feature existed it would definitely help to get more cheaters reported and get them banned faster.
@@shakk85 No, however letting XAOXING speedhack with 100kd ratio play for months without a ban will make sure I don't recommend it to anyone and tell them about said experience.
I am mostly annoyed at the armor system. We had the armor plates as a fix to "forcefield that soaks bullets" and after the armor re-rework, we're now back at "forcefield that soaks bullets 2: electric boogalo" except now it's 2 forcefields: a class 3 soft aramid one and a up-to-class 6 plate that covers the whole thorso. So now PMCs are tankier than before.
Someone clearly hasn't been to D2 yet. Trip mines are almost always used and the tarcon office on customs has a spot whre it can be put behind the door and set off during the key animation. They're used in maps where its condusive to it and poeple are creative to utilize them
And you have the time to run away every single time, unless you put yourself into animation in like 3 spots where it's viable to place a tripwire that you should know by now. They are nothing more than an alarm.
I go to Reserve pretty much every raid, and I have only encountered a tripwire ONCE in D2. Another time I found a spot where one went off previously, but nobody died. I got camped a few times, but tripwires are much less of a problem than you think.
The original armour plate system was good actually. BSG just needed to model actual an actual vital zone hit box and not have the entire chest a kill zone. Instead we got a shitty band aid fix that's made armour even STRONGER than it was before the armour plates were introduced.
Light keeper patch was the one for me. That audio for the first month actually affected my mental health to the point where I had to quit. The mass confusion of not seeing what I was hearing really messed with me. I quit before they fixed it.
Scavs are such a massive pain in the *ss this wipe. Nothing like dropping 4 PMCs on interchange, just to get headeyes'd by a fkin scav which spawned 5 meter away while you were looting your well deserved gear.
I’ve played 3 years and am bad at that stuff but tbh yeah. Fav wipe so far is prolly when they added lighthouse- which is either the wipe they added voip or the wipe right after
No, it was by far the worst, because it also added inertia in its worst iteration, the atrocious recoil and flea restrictions. That was the patch that significantly hurt the game and it hasn't fully recovered from that yet. But it also did have a lot of great stuff, like VoIP, the non-balance related content was very good.
12.12 was bad in a lot of other ways though. Recoil changed to be the old hated system, inertia and other systems were horrendous at launch, generally every good weapon became scarce and totally inaccessible except for the RFB, which then got nerfed so everyone moved to the UMP.
Yeah i had a friend log onto arena and when he logged back onto tarkov he was actually transported to his previous wipe account. Basically he went from 45 to 32, had a bunch of his quest reset and his flea market was actually last wipes flea. Super weird bug, it damn near ended his wipe early. He just relogged a bunch and he got back into regular servers but still how is something like that even happening
I'm excited to see your alternating content coming up! Loved the recent hunt showdown video. Found you quite a few wipes ago, you're my go to for information about the state of the game/tierlists. I saw the clip of Space Marines 2, is that soon to be covered? :)
If people think this is the worst wipe, they probably don’t know the game was wiped so they could add the Glock 17. Just the standard one too, attachments, bigger magazines didn’t come out for another year
i killed partizan 2 times this wipe and once he had red rebel so at least sometimes he is great. also he killed my friend out of nowhere 2 times and me 2 times (with my bullet in his head... damn 100 hp head). Tripwire can be used in shoreline on resort stairs if you are sniping from the roof or smth. I tried to use it when camping but had no luck
I don't remember hearing the negative karma sound a single time, yet Partizan killed me at lesst 5 times. Twice, I spawned on Customs next to smuggler's boat, and sprinted to dorms, where he happened to spawn amd just oneshot me
If you have any worries about your viewers who are here only for tarkov, don't worry. We would enjoy your takes and your style of videos on any other games. Keep up the good work!
I just found your channel and I gotta say you're dope bro. Sadly I didn't get to play for the last several wipes but this one has been my favorite since 2018.
One of the small thing i noticed as well is that they moved m80 to pk4 again for the second time.... Honestly why do they keep bumping a mid tier ammo to such high level when the time you unlock the ammo you also unlocked m62, both are quite similar in price so might as well use m62 ._.
I tried to pick up the game the first time about 16mo ago and immediately quit- just came back this wipe and am catching on a lot more and got all my friends to get it. Your videos are way better than most for new players.
my main problem with this wipe as a standard edition player is that I am fighting people that are way higher level than I am because they have arena and I don't. Plus every single one of my traders is locked from leveling up in rep by my level.
Well I have eod and if it makes you feel any better I tried playing arena for xp and got rekt because there aren't enough players for arena in my region so I had to play on american servers with 200 ping
@@JeffJeffington66 M80 is a pretty easy quest unlock and ytou can buy T5 armor from Ragman and Ref lvl 3. THe main issue for me is they lock the really good ammo behind 100 quests and crafting or its just not possible to make at all. So you fight against people in T5 but you do not have ammo that can pen T5
I also feel like early wipe was almost immediately gone after just a week. It's great we have so many quests now and don't get held back just trying to work on one quest for days, but I feel like because they didn't balance the XP gain out from all the new quests, you can progress a bit too quickly. Also was disappointed in the achievements. Had fun getting Kappa and Lightkeeper last wipe, purposely avoided getting some of the 15 kill achievements to have something to do this wipe. Only needed 2-3 kills on 4 of the bosses, only to have progress completely reset lol, and the boss spawn rate is so low I'm not even going to bother.
@@elmaster65Calling people who want to enjoy the game at their own pace "pve losers" makes you look like a 10 year old with nothing better to do than play tarkov 24 hours a day
as a non streamer, non youtuber the tripwires are goated. You can basically watch your own flank, and there are ways you can put tripwires to almost guarantee a kill.
The sound is the biggest one for me, I can hear a pistol 300 feet away but not the sprinting scav with a double barrel until he's right behind my neck. Games still fun though
A lot of us enjoy your content man, whether you’re playing Tarkov or not. I think there are plenty of games out there people would love to hear Levivi hot takes on. Hell, we got STALKER 2 coming out in November that I think might be something a lot of the Tarkov audience might be interested in if it’s good. Still waiting on that Baldurs Gate 3 video!
I like how it helps casuals level up- it’s bad tho when ppl who play all the time abuse it to get to level 50 now less than a month into wipe. My opinion is both- make leveling up easier in arena to like level 15 and then make it considerably slower. Or/also Only let you get full xp/rubles for like a couple games a day then reduce the xp gain till the next day or week
I use the bipods and mounting more than the variable zoom on scopes. You don’t need to be prone to use a bipods when you have a broken arm and need to take a long shot down a hall on interchange I find mounting up to the walls to be extremely useful allowing me to get a steady shot while my character is having a seizure from the fracture
biggest detractor for me this wipe is the arena leveling counting for base game levels. feels like EVERYONE is lvl 45 or higher while im only at 22, where normally most people would be where im at in this point of the wipe
When you're mid game in tarkov quests you make far more xp than you would in arena since you'll make 10-12k xp at most 4 times per day, but all actual quests will start giving you 10-40k xp. The arena xp shit is a bit of an illusion, tarkov early wipe has never lasted long and it will get shorter as the game continues to wipe, arena just made getting level 15 faster for casual players.
As a person who only started playing last wipe. And I have a standard account. This is game is quite p2w. Arena is just another thing that for me just pushed me out of playing the wipe. 1.5M rubles, xp transfer, an entire trader practically locked behind buying an entire diffrent game is just wild to me. The fact that unheard and eod start with more stash space. Free trader rep. You do realise you can get lvl 2 traders without even ever doing a single quest on those account types even more so now with arenas xp transfer. There are also exclusive areas people who dont pay for arena just cant access. No one ever talks about how Arena is an extremely good aim training tool for pvp (which standart accounts have no access to, yknow unless you pay). Eod, unheard theres no difference to me. Both are shills for an unfinished game that is clearly p2w. Why even grind for kappa on those accounts when you just get practically the 2nd best container straight out the box. I never see complaints like these because it feels like more than 50% of the players play on "I like to think im better at the game when I have my 20+ qol small changes that defently DONT give me a competative edge" edition I can keep going but you get the point.
Has anyone noticed scav spawns on customs being broken? once you loudy kill any scav on customs, if you stay in the same place, they will come endlessly the entire raid sometimes not even giving you enough time to repack mags
its the worst wipe ive played so far. terrible audio as usual and the beyond annoying hyper spawning scavs. i can't wait for the next wipe in december so i can play snow crunching simulator for the next several months.
I got a Violet card from Partisan a few weeks ago. Not sure if this has changed to avoid incentivising camping, however I can confirm, YES, I did get a valuable item from the boss.
Yea this wipe feels OK. I hate how early wipe felt like a total of 5min --seriously this is the fastest I progressed. Ever... and i fell off a few days too, feel like I've not played THAT much better than other wipes Oh and to your point yea pvp kinda feels bad... killing waves of scaves is only so fun and only so worth it. On top of all that, my 3 buddies whom I've practically begged to play over the past few wipes are loving this wipe since --they collectively have gotten to around lvl 11ish past wipe to then slowly stop playing.this wipe they've gotten to flee and no hint of quiting. What kept them around? The fact arena is free money and flee is less restricted I think they had wayyyyy more wiggle room --who cares if u lose that fancy kit, two decent matches and bam u got money just like that.
On partizan from a pve perspective: He's only possibly to kill if he's getting into position or fighting another pmc group. I've died to him well over a dozen times either because I just caught a glimpse of him, I was in a box, or I got zapped outta fucking nowhere. Every time I've killed him, he's been moving into cover, or fighting some other PMCs Oh and the reason to kill him is the drippy backpack and stock. That's it. And a free GP25
I would also add reselling as a problem: if from around week 2 of the wipe i can go to even lvl 2 traders and resell some barters for, like, 500-700k+ profit and then go to flea and buy most of the equipment from lvl3-lvl4 traders at a reasonable price, then what's the point to, like, go into raid?
@@baddycarl I don't play to grow the vitrual money pile. In fact, me not caring about roubles beyond not going broke is a large part of the problem: when properly functioning, economy and pogression create tasks for me to complete (do this quest to unlock this, lvl that trader up to afford to buy that,...). Reselling removes these tasks, because for most mid-game things i can now afford to just buy them or their equivalents from the flea.
@@deepspacewanderer9897such a stupid thing to say u can’t buy any bullet that pens anything of class 4 and can’t buy any gear over class 4 like what do u mean traders are still a HUGE advantage to someone that relies on flea lmao
@@DBTrapped aside from a few exceptions, flea-restricted items are late mid-game or early end-game items (lvl 4 trader (possibly quest-locked) items or post-lvl-42 quest items). So, untill lvl 4 - no traders aren't a huge advantage. And when before lvl 4 they are, it's effectively single unlocks after long quest chains. To try to rephrase the problem: without reselling gameplay relatively frequently provided you with meaningfull incremental unlocks; now it's normal progression to level 15, a huge unlock at level 15, and then a wasteland untill lvl 4 traders, where through 20 levels and a bunch of quests you get Korund plates, AP-20 and a few niche weapon parts that are expencive on flea because they aren't resold much because of their nicheness. Which means that the gameplay loop of "do this thing to get access to that thing to have easier time doing the next thing" is broken.
The very first thing I tried to do with trip wires was legitimately use them to hold down third story factory in the long hallway. I was immediately ambushed by a scab behind me and got to learn that not only can they see you through bushes they can see your trip wire in pitch black and disarm it. Seriously what's the point of adding them when you just give every NPC in the game the ability to disarm it inside of like 2 seconds completely silently.
First 3 minutes of the video: This is what's actually killing EFT right now. We keep expecting and expecting new shit to be added, when they can't even have their older shit run consistently. Optimization is still god awful for majority of the player base that doesn't have a top tier rig, audio is fuck all(fat chance this will ever be consistent), and now even lighting has added to the giant bucket of issues.
Lighting in tarkov has ALWAYS been trash, how is it even possible for interiors to be so dark during day time????? Imagine if you had to have your ceiling lights on and run around with a flashlight in your living room to see anything at 1pm with curtains open.
@@Kisel228-fp8iz It has been awful, but it has gotten worse. I can't believe how BSG managed to fuck it up even more at this point, it's kinda impressive if you think about it. hahaha.
the lack of new content is really odd to me. maybe development is much different than i think it is but to me the newest feature is the btr. they don't seem to optimize the game, adding guns *should* be knob twisting (base recoil, ergonomics, durability, etc.) and adding which attachments can go on a gun (something an intern can do), however in terms of actual new content and real new features they seem to be few and far between which makes me sincerely suspicious of how many people they have developing new things for the game. maybe i just don't understand development at all though.
I have noticed that for audio the 2 best headsets that allow me to hear anything is the comtac 2s and the really cheap one lvl 1 prapor sells, the gssh or whatever they are called. But for something like the m32s I swear having no headset is better
Disagree, it's the worst wipe ever because they all are equally terrible in their own way, everything else is extreme cope. I've had this game since 2017, I've played the majority of wipes. Not might be worse than previous ones but the audio is still the worst in gaming history, desyncs and hitreg are still garbage, so many bugs it's not even tolerable anymore because it's the same unfixed mess it was years ago. Thankfully my friends only drag me into it for a month before burnout and this horrible AI and silent grenading made them quit even faster.
If im not mistaken, the arena ref bug is completely fixed, I've been switching between the 2 constantly and have had no issues. Scavs are still cracked though, and audio is better in some areas and schizophrenic in others. And funnily enough, thanks to arena, this is probably my best wipe so far and the most fun I've had with tarkov.
Honestly.. I'm really enjoying the bipods, I'm even using the G36 just because I can stick a forgrip and bipod on it. They're not always useful but once you set it up it's an insane accuracy change
I've encountered more bugs this wipe in PvE than I had in PvP ever before - but do note that I haven't played PvE before and lately only SPT (Patch v0.14). Partisan's backpack vanished from my inventory, some other minor bug occurred and today a white rectangle spawned in the middle of my screen mid raid, blocking sights and stayed within every menu, only fixed after restarting tarkov. But fr it is still fun for me.
Just remembered, the AI PMCs and SCAVs running into closed doors, it just feels unfair (for the lack of a better word, it makes me feel "sorry", cause they could have at least tried to shoot me, it feels like kicking someone who's already down).
The white rectangle only happens when you loot something that you haven't searched yet, i believe they already patched that, but to be sure search the stuff you loot before you pick it up
@@ForOne814This is such a dumbass response. You are under every comment putting the worst responses to criticism I've seen, its almost like you have never played the game. Anyways I'll never see you again and I'd use you as currency during the apocalypse

I do think the arena leveling is a a littttle too much or-- something I just thought of- let a certain amount of games a weekend 5 let’s say give u full xp and rubles from arena but after those games u don’t get as many so it doesn’t make the leveling too crazy
I was on customs the other day (I’m new to the game and just trying to learn a map at all), and I had about 10 scav kills in one tiny segment of the map before succumbing to my wounds. It was bonkers tbh.
This wipe has been one of my favorite wipes so far (best was the moment snow was added) I stopped taking Tarkov seriously years ago and just play for fun. The M60 and Deagle have added soooo much fun for me. I’m also able to make money pretty easily so I can fund my fun kits. I’ll never understand people who take a video game so seriously that they suck the fun out of it. It’s supposed to be a form of entertainment, no need for it to rule your life and make you miserable.
Things like settings, monitors, headsets, and gaming setups in general all influence lighting and audio issues. I can personally see really well on factory and audio is ok and I would say better than a year ago due to the headset changes.
I bought PvE this wipe solely because of the Arena-EFT cross progression, Early wipe was over in a week instead of lasting around a month. PvE is a blast
@@alexmaurice4274 I think they changed it so that you lose karma if you camp a bush near an extract, not just anywhere, but I haven't tested it. To gain karma use scav Co op extract
I play since 2017 and this wipe is the worst wipe I have experienced. The Arena link was the worst decision for Tarkov that ever existed. Peaople always said they like early wipe and now they use Arena just to skip it. Also PvE took alot of people out of the game. I played only like 2 days this wipe and lost intrest because there was no real early game anymore you always fought players that had unlock flea without even playing the game, but by playing an external game. And that's why it's the worst wipe in my opinion, it trumps the wipe flea was introduced were after 1 hour early wipe was dead becasue you unlocked flea at level 5. Sure we had worse wipes regarding bugs and the game being right out unplayable from the technical point of view but from the user experience this wipe is just right out trash.
They had to recoup their losses from arena somehow, apparently microtransactions and unheard edition were not enough, so they had to lure non-EOD and non-unheard players into buying the absurdly priced arena by introducing cross-progression and a really interesting trader who might as well be exclusive to arena players. I definitely agree that earlier wipes used to be more enjoyable despite being buggier. I started playing the game in 12.11, for the first 3 wipes I had an absolute blast playing the game, then it started going slowly downhill from there with the changes they introduced.
@@Dominique9325 Arena progression was planned from the very beginning. It started to go downhill in 12.12, you had 1 normal Tarkov wipe. Everything else was post decision to make Tarkov a sweatfest.
@@ForOne814 Oddly enough I still had fun in 12.12, it was one of my best wipes, though I hated lighthouse basically from the start, it's just an objectively bad map. It only started getting worse and worse after that wipe though. Moving M80 to LL4 peacekeeper was the first thing that irked me pretty badly. 12.11 definitely felt freer than 12.12 in terms of possibilities (thanks to no inertia and no flea bans), but it was only my first wipe and I joined like a month late so I basically didn't know shit about the game and I was confused. RN, besides all the other things I've mentioned, lighthouse and streets tasks are the bane of me. Lighthouse is just a horrible map, rogues are aimbots and not fun to fight and player scavs spawn way too early and in large numbers. As for streets, it still runs absolutely atrociously, also most quests on it have like 50 spawn locations which is annoying.
The scavs and audio are by far the biggest nopes for me. Crack shot obliteration of your limbs by a constant swarm of scavs that sees through buildings, bushes, whatever terrain, and then depletes your ammo and meds before you even encounter another player and by then, you're both too messed up to even have a chance at a fun encounter. On Reserve, my buddy walked out of observatory and was immediately 1 tapped with by a scav all the way down the mountain near helicopter with a PM pistol and he nearly wiped our the rest of our 3 stack just finding him and shotting him. Yeah. Broken AF. I'll see EFT next year. Maybe.
The audio bug is really annoying, especially when paired with the bullet bug I'll call it. I jumped over the boxes in dorms, didn't hear a thing, but landed right next to 4 scavs silently sprinting up the stairs, who each just gobbled up 10 rounds to the unarmored chest without even flinching. "Head, eyes"
According to the community, every wipe is Tarkov's worst wipe. It feels like all this community does is complain and complain. At this point, I feel like BSG can do literally anything and they'll get slammed. No wonder they don't listen to us anymore.
ive been playing since like 2019 and id say this is personally just the wipe i ran out of steam on. i reached level 36 in like the first week so you cant really say i didn't get to play with the new things, but that was from arena, where the audio is still the same as last time. I feel like above all else, this wipe has the most obvious sense of the developers being lost. it seems like they added 50 different features that all conflict each other. tripwires are for campers, partizan is against them, bipods help campers, dogshit audio is against campers scavs get buffed like crazy, but they lower 762 hp damage so we dont die stupid deaths to them shooting our armpits. are they just trying to make us buy the 250$ scav repellant? all of the new changes are waved off as "oh realism" when they are adding cultist circles that spawn gear, i just dont get it idk the game just isnt enjoyable right now, i dont understand how they ever approved this audio i cannot hear anything, the difference between arena and eft audio is night and day every time i hopped off arena to play tarkov id find the most stupid, broken shit imaginable that i had never seen before. 20 scavs piled into one person sized area, no audio from players at all, my body falling through the map every death, what happened?
Audio is also my main issue, especially since we are so used to being able to hear farand many different things well, you now feel deaf. Its like in horror movies, quick scares are cheap and not fun, but feeling the thrill in a situation and the sound building up is where the magic happens.

I have honestly never really played tarkov for more than a couple hours. In every previous wipe I would play for a couple of hours till I was out of money, out of gear and had to scav run to get money. Every time I would end the wipe with a survival rate of like 10 percent. Either dying to someone who shot me 3 frames after he was on my screen or someone who head, eyes me from another continent. This wipe my friend told me to try the PvE and that I should buy it and honestly it has been the most fun I have had. I am still dying to bad mistakes but the game is way more fun when I dont have to worry about the cheaters, the sweats running class 6 armor every raid, and the bullshit deaths from hell knows what. Now I am learning, understanding why I am dying, instead of dying 15 seconds into raid. I do not think I will ever go back to pvp tarkov cause the fun just isnt there.
Tell me you're a COD fan without telling me you're a COD fan. Maybe don't touch the shift key for 1-2 raids and try using your eyes. Might fix part of your skill issues in PvP.
A lot of people seem to be forgetting that this game has been in beta for 7 years. They made barely any progress in terms of what actually needs to be fixed. Even worse, they actively ignore it or make it even worse. Yeah, lets focus the resources on adding a Vibin Sneaker as a item, because thats what the game needs. Who cares about having working audio in a hardcore FPS game, right? There is your typical update in the classic Tarkov fashion: - First of all, ignore anything the community asked for. - Add new useless gun, or maybe two guns - Restrict some new shit - Lift old restrictions (make people happy) - New annoying quest - Fix a random bug nobody ever saw - Fuck up at least 3 things that worked for years - Add something people will pay for (usually only thing that works) - Progressively make AI worse and worse - Change something about trader & item progression - Strip away some more benefits off those fancy editions that people already paid for - Add some new stupid item (e.g. Vibin Sneaker) - Give people more reasons and means to start ratting - Progressively make locked rooms worse - Fuck up the audio little bit more
and Speaking of sniping with bipods ( 3:45 ) like half of the bolt actions rifles dont have a slot for them, heres a short lisy The AXMC cant have one, SV-89 in its ergo kit The Osiris, wich has a long bottom rail in the game doesnt have a slot for a bipod the Mosin, wich needs the Montecarlo stock is needed for a bipod slot and is locked behind the rail end of tarkov shooter quests
I've been having an interesting experience in pve. It's kind of like playing modded spt with the spawning settings cranked up. It can be good fun if you just want a shooting gallery but I was trying to get a few kills on killa and the spawning for that map is just insane. It's an all out war and you're the only one all the AI wants to kill.
I'm a player who only plays PvE. Since English isn't my native language, I rarely check the patch notes. It was only after watching this video that I found out the AI had been buffed. No wonder sometimes they just glance at me, and I die instantly.
This is technically my first wipe starting from the beginning. I started playing at the tail end of last wipe and I feel like the audio sucks and not being able to put things into unsearched containers, but besides that I like this wipe. I only have 140 hours so take my word for what it's worth.
Honestly, I played a bit in the beginning of the wipe and while I had issues I had the most fun I ever had in a wipe because I was able to rush past the grind to flea market which is normally a pain because me and my brother both are rarely on at the same time due to work and we don't enjoy doing solo runs. Being able to level up in arena, which is fun solo, and then take a decent kit into a raid with my brother or a friend because I don't have to deal with the grind is great.
I spent the first week of wipe grinding to get peacekeeper 3. I did my last three tasks including a weekly and turned it in. Next time I hopped on my rep was reset to .2. I took a nice long break after that
Because I sort of suck at PVP, Arena has been a great way to get money and increase your actual gunfighting skills. The fact you can be in multiple gunfights in a short amount of time whether you die or not in such a short time is a great way to get better at the game in that regard.
As a PVE only player i must say that the Scav issue is even worse here since theres almost nothing else but you to clear the scavs on the map. Last night when i played Interchange with my friend he died to PMCs and i couldnt grab his gear because ive run out of ammo food and water trying to get the scavs off of him. I killed 35 enemies 31 of them being scavs in the whole raid.
My first wipe playing, the amount of times ive been first bullet one tapped by an ai scav wielding a 45 durability sks with iron sights from 300m through at least 16 different trees blocking my vision from even seeing the scav is driving me nuts
Just going to say Nikita put a poll on twitter on what we wanted to see next. We voted for lighthouse expansion and instead we got factory which got the least votes and which was already redone not that long ago and really didn't need much rework in the first place besides spawn locations maybe. Also the integration of arena progression into normal tarkov kills the experience. I was three days late to wipe and already running into level 25-30 players running near end game kits just was not something I look forward to as a solo as that really shouldn't impact normal tarkov in any way but they clearly needed to promote the dead game mode they created.

Though I just play SPT nowadays and live out my RAID series larp fantasies so…
My tism just goes off on how strong helmets are
You literally don't. It worked fine, the players just didn't like that they can't tank scavs. It produced realistic results, it doesn't matter how it worked internally.
@@ForOne814 The issue is that scavs were programmed to ignore your plates making them utterly worthless.
@@Kisel228-fp8iz no, they weren't programmed to do so, no, they weren't worthless. Everyone was running around in class 6 the moment they could. It's just copium. @@ForOne814 the results were realistic but not fun, even when playing very meticulously. I think they made a good compromise, but they could've added organs and vitals to make the old plates more fun.
Scavs are absolutely more broken than they have ever been.

Scavs have been absolutely insane this wipe. They have killed me much more than players and in way more frustrating ways. Always some form of head/neck head/throat. It just isnt fun being oneshot by a scav 40 meters away in half a second.

Name me one FPS that fixed cheaters.
You will never fix cheaters in gaming. It's an ever evolving battle.

They're used in maps where its condusive to it and poeple are creative to utilize them
I have yet to run into one at all
And you have the time to run away every single time, unless you put yourself into animation in like 3 spots where it's viable to place a tripwire that you should know by now. They are nothing more than an alarm.
I go to Reserve pretty much every raid, and I have only encountered a tripwire ONCE in D2. Another time I found a spot where one went off previously, but nobody died.
I got camped a few times, but tripwires are much less of a problem than you think.
@@ForOne814 You kinda miss how useful that is. specailly in bunker
The original armour plate system was good actually. BSG just needed to model actual an actual vital zone hit box and not have the entire chest a kill zone. Instead we got a shitty band aid fix that's made armour even STRONGER than it was before the armour plates were introduced.

I yea I remember that hahah these devs couldn’t get audio right no matter what
Scavs are such a massive pain in the *ss this wipe. Nothing like dropping 4 PMCs on interchange, just to get headeyes'd by a fkin scav which spawned 5 meter away while you were looting your well deserved gear.
the wipe where they added voip was the best imo

One of the small thing i noticed as well is that they moved m80 to pk4 again for the second time.... Honestly why do they keep bumping a mid tier ammo to such high level when the time you unlock the ammo you also unlocked m62, both are quite similar in price so might as well use m62 ._.

my main problem with this wipe as a standard edition player is that I am fighting people that are way higher level than I am because they have arena and I don't. Plus every single one of my traders is locked from leveling up in rep by my level.
just do your quests and you'll level up. just try to focus on surviving and finishing quests and you'll get there

I like how it helps casuals level up- it’s bad tho when ppl who play all the time abuse it to get to level 50 now less than a month into wipe.
My opinion is both- make leveling up easier in arena to like level 15 and then make it considerably slower.
Or/also
Only let you get full xp/rubles for like a couple games a day then reduce the xp gain till the next day or week
Early game progression shouldn't exist, it made the game worse when it was added.
I got to 39 without playing arena once, although I do agree the xp is a little busted, it's really not bad
Im Level 60 because of Arena dailies hahshsha
I never see complaints like these because it feels like more than 50% of the players play on "I like to think im better at the game when I have my 20+ qol small changes that defently DONT give me a competative edge" edition
I can keep going but you get the point.

Yea this wipe feels OK. I hate how early wipe felt like a total of 5min --seriously this is the fastest I progressed. Ever... and i fell off a few days too, feel like I've not played THAT much better than other wipes
Oh and to your point yea pvp kinda feels bad... killing waves of scaves is only so fun and only so worth it.

I've died to him well over a dozen times either because I just caught a glimpse of him, I was in a box, or I got zapped outta fucking nowhere.
Every time I've killed him, he's been moving into cover, or fighting some other PMCs
Oh and the reason to kill him is the drippy backpack and stock.
If u play to grow your virtual money stash ur missing the point
Well, yeah, so can PMC, the tripwires are extremely visible on purpose. Especially in the dark - they glow.
@@ForOne814 yeah but doesn't the PMC need to have a multi-tool in order to disarm? So every scab on the map is carrying a secret multi-tool.
@@xblackdogrunsx no, it just takes longer without a multitool.
@@badxgrass It's especially bad since you can get okayish lighting just by tweaking a couple of sliders via Nvidia Control Panel)))
Nice blue screen upgrade 👍
If im not mistaken, the arena ref bug is completely fixed, I've been switching between the 2 constantly and have had no issues.
Scavs are still cracked though, and audio is better in some areas and schizophrenic in others. And funnily enough, thanks to arena, this is probably my best wipe so far and the most fun I've had with tarkov.
Honestly.. I'm really enjoying the bipods, I'm even using the G36 just because I can stick a forgrip and bipod on it. They're not always useful but once you set it up it's an insane accuracy change
Oh no no NoiceGuy oh no no Pepelaugh

The white rectangle only happens when you loot something that you haven't searched yet, i believe they already patched that, but to be sure search the stuff you loot before you pick it up
If only battlestate did proper QA testing and didn’t shove out new updates so quickly
You're the QA tester. The game is in beta.

Agree, with arena im able to progress my level without the struggle of questing, im more motivated to keep playing because of the changes
Um okay you skipped last wipe then like he said
@@mrsaltydino4817 I didn't, but keep pumping that cope.
I do think the arena leveling is a a littttle too much or-- something I just thought of- let a certain amount of games a weekend 5 let’s say give u full xp and rubles from arena but after those games u don’t get as many so it doesn’t make the leveling too crazy
@donoteatmikezila You got kappa before?
Had my best luck last patch and now I am playing SPTarkov
In all truth arena with the custom kits has grabbed more of my interest than the base game.
I was on customs the other day (I’m new to the game and just trying to learn a map at all), and I had about 10 scav kills in one tiny segment of the map before succumbing to my wounds. It was bonkers tbh.
This wipe has been one of my favorite wipes so far (best was the moment snow was added)
I stopped taking Tarkov seriously years ago and just play for fun.
PvE is a blast
bro the worst was when we had invisible players and the zarya / overhead shot audio bugs. that was hell
"the armour plate system made armour useless🤓☝" no it did not
tbh they added parmesan to hunt low karma players, not to be farmed
Idek how tf to get him to avoid or hunt me. If I wanna go piss and lay in a bush idk why I’m punished for that assuming I am
@@alexmaurice4274 I think they changed it so that you lose karma if you camp a bush near an extract, not just anywhere, but I haven't tested it. To gain karma use scav Co op extract
I'd argue the existence of a video like this answers the question in the thumbnail.
Why don’t u like people being stuck early game with shit gear?😂
You skipped 12.12?
Maybe.
yeah, that never happened, or you all are special needs gamers.
3 likes you fell off
The audio bug is really annoying, especially when paired with the bullet bug I'll call it.
I think both the devs and the community are at fault here, tbh.
ive been playing since like 2019 and id say this is personally just the wipe i ran out of steam on. i reached level 36 in like the first week so you cant really say i didn't get to play with the new things, but that was from arena, where the audio is still the same as last time.
I feel like above all else, this wipe has the most obvious sense of the developers being lost. it seems like they added 50 different features that all conflict each other.
tripwires are for campers, partizan is against them, bipods help campers, dogshit audio is against campers
scavs get buffed like crazy, but they lower 762 hp damage so we dont die stupid deaths to them shooting our armpits. are they just trying to make us buy the 250$ scav repellant?
all of the new changes are waved off as "oh realism" when they are adding cultist circles that spawn gear, i just dont get it
idk the game just isnt enjoyable right now, i dont understand how they ever approved this audio i cannot hear anything, the difference between arena and eft audio is night and day
every time i hopped off arena to play tarkov id find the most stupid, broken shit imaginable that i had never seen before. 20 scavs piled into one person sized area, no audio from players at all, my body falling through the map every death, what happened?
Audio is also my main issue, especially since we are so used to being able to hear farand many different things well, you now feel deaf. Its like in horror movies, quick scares are cheap and not fun, but feeling the thrill in a situation and the sound building up is where the magic happens.
the soomth zoom does have strings attached, it fucks with your sence so if you use the scopes in 1x they are very difficult to use

There is your typical update in the classic Tarkov fashion:
- First of all, ignore anything the community asked for.
- Add new useless gun, or maybe two guns
- Restrict some new shit
- Lift old restrictions (make people happy)
- New annoying quest
- Fix a random bug nobody ever saw
- Fuck up at least 3 things that worked for years
- Add something people will pay for (usually only thing that works)
- Progressively make AI worse and worse
- Change something about trader & item progression
- Strip away some more benefits off those fancy editions that people already paid for
- Add some new stupid item (e.g. Vibin Sneaker)
- Give people more reasons and means to start ratting
- Progressively make locked rooms worse
- Fuck up the audio little bit more
and Speaking of sniping with bipods ( 3:45 ) like half of the bolt actions rifles dont have a slot for them, heres a short lisy
The AXMC cant have one,
SV-89 in its ergo kit
The Osiris, wich has a long bottom rail in the game doesnt have a slot for a bipod
the Mosin, wich needs the Montecarlo stock is needed for a bipod slot and is locked behind the rail end of tarkov shooter quests
I wish my bipod would deploy 100% of the time
I've been having an interesting experience in pve. It's kind of like playing modded spt with the spawning settings cranked up. It can be good fun if you just want a shooting gallery but I was trying to get a few kills on killa and the spawning for that map is just insane. It's an all out war and you're the only one all the AI wants to kill.
I love how a scav can arch a nade that air blasts right above my head before I can ads :)
I'm a player who only plays PvE. Since English isn't my native language, I rarely check the patch notes. It was only after watching this video that I found out the AI had been buffed. No wonder sometimes they just glance at me, and I die instantly.
i’m a pussy basically
