Thanks for all the support, everyone, this is becoming my most viral video! Also sorry for the audio, I will do better next time, just wanted to get this out fast.
I am not sure for that one, but I know they included the new historical focuses for Germany for free. I mean paradox didn't consider this a big feature, so I think it should be included
I'd rather fight against the Soviet Union first and then widow England. as it was historically. I hope that Japan AI can employ the USA better. I think it's good that GB is stronger!
I managed to pull operation Seelowe with Paratroopers, I landed like 50 some of them in sothern England, the first attempt was only 13 or so and It failed miserably. I had done combat insertion so their org would take a hit. I had swept any air force over Britain off but the problem was the American airforce was still powerful and the 13 original that tried got them to pull their airforce out and while my fighters were more than enough to beat them my Cas couldn't do it's job properly and we got pushed out. Anyway after landing and capturing portsmouth dover and ipswich in the north i sent one army to each pocket I had made, the north and the south. Well eventually the north in ipswich got cut off and taken out but the south in Dover managed to hold out and thankfully cas damage had gotten better and the fact they just kept attacking and attacking meant that eventually they ran out of equipment so we could push them out finally capitulating them
I had to have all the things i need to sealion UK Naval bombarment check 99% Air supremacy check Marine with All Good support check And It's not UK that I worried about It's the US Calvary Divisions.... They stack tons of them on EVERY port
I've noticed that the AI has its "hotspots" where it decides that it should put all its units in. After making serious progress in one area, it will just abandon it and invest in another area, undoing all the previously done hard work. I saw the Allies take out Italy, only to get bored when they reached Milan, then attack Iberia instead, leaving the Axis to bring back an undefended Italy.
I saw Italy singlehandedly rush the British and take El-alamein and was forcing the british to be on edge with constant naval invasions on Malta but then they immediately abandoned the Africa front to go somewhere else? Like the African front was the ONLY front Italy was actually fighting a Country in and they moved all of their divisions out of africa. I put rommel and his 4 medium tank divs on it and got to cario before the italians returned and rush the front.
I think it's about the number of dudes on a front I already tricked french ai by placing only 9 divs on Maginot and then rushed it with heavy tanks, at first I had 96 divs on Maginot line then I out them in Netherlands the ai reacted by abandoning the Maginot even leaving an open tile, after that I pounced on em and won
dude, the soviets need to get buffed. They consistently underperform and cant even upkeep their number of divisions. I understand they are going to take a lot of losses - but these losses should at least be replaced
I don't think that's easy to fix honestly. I've noticed in my 1000+ hours that the AI cannot or has serious trouble rebuilding armies after crushing defeats. If the AI takes around 40% casualties army wide they will never recover unless given help from the player or allies. In real life the soviet army rebuilt itself multiple times over. This is most obvious in the Soviets case because they will usually always take upwards of that amount of damage in the first year of the German invasion. Then what usually happens is the dumb German AI cannot fix its supply issues and cannot advance and the soviets sit at about 100-200 half strength divisions for the rest of the game.
@@Lleesstreett Its cause the soviet AI is dumb as hell and wastes all of its production trying to build Anti tank and artillery and the soviet ai isnt able to get nearly as much mils as a player. @@Lleesstreett i also know that the soviet -ai (and ai in general, but specifically soviets) usually... don't have enough pp to do a successful scorched earth or evac of industry -don't do factory conversions to mils, or if they do its very little because for the soviets, theyre worse than a regular ai becuase most of their industry ends up occupied, and they cant replace those industrial losses

"France put 80% of its army on the Maginot and had nothing to defend Germany when it broke through Belgium" Isn't that just historical? Sure, the details are different, but. . .
Not really, the Germans broke through the Ardennes and encircled both the Brits and a big part of the French army in Belgium. In the current patch, Frenchies don't wanna even try and are coasting on the Maginot, lol. I mean sure, they were a speed bump, but currently, they are a highway :S
No it is NOT historical. 70-80% of the French Army deployed to Belgium to hold the German advance there, they even did well there as seen in the battle of Hannut and Gembloux. They need to adjust French AI to rush to Belgium as it did historically, and leave just enough in the Maginot, about one army worth of divisions. I think the problem here is the French AI sees the German border and invests too much divisions there and abandons the border with Belgium since Belgium isn't a threat.
The BEF and best French divisions were on the French-Belgian border on standby, the moment the invasion of Belgium happened, these forces moved into Belgium. Refugees clogged the roads, there was no good coordination between Belgian and Allied forces, it was a mess. And then the Panzers said "Morgen :)" and then you got the Dunquik shitshow, that is in large part why the French were in such a state when those divisions got encircled, that WAS the reserve, that force was their reserves+advantage in fielded divisions, the instant it was encircled France was pretty much done for, honestly it smacks of Napoleon III getting his ass kicked
@@balkan-cowboy There is good reason for that : game mechanics. It's extremely hard to pierce a single point through the Ardennes and encircle Belgium : The Ardennes are easy to defend against tanks, and the supply mechanics will stop you before the coast. Plus, you are extremely vulnerable to counter-encirclement in the meantime. What you are supposed to do as Germany, is conquer the Netherlands, capitulate Belgium through the northern flemish plains, then rush down France while it's repositioning. That's what make sense game-wise. Therefore, to facilitate that, France is programmed to not garrison the Belgian border, and will only come there once Germany conquers the border provinces. If the game blitzkrieg succeeds, the French and BEF gets encircled. Sure, the encirclement doesn't happen at the right position (Maginot instead of Belgium), but it's close enough and it works well in-game.
This is a really neat comparison! If you want to inspect the AI a bit more, you could also select to play as Germany and turn on "human_ai" in the console.
