BMW K1200LT IPOD INSTALL REPLACES FACTORY 6 DISC CD CHANGER

Does the iPod module stay powered on all the time or will it power off when ignition is off? I installed a Yatour and it stays on all the time. Wondering if the 6 disc cd changer was always connected to power or if I need to switch wires.

I used an old iPhone as an iPod for a few years before it quit on me. iPhones have lots of room for music.

It's not a phone. Only older ipod. These bmw kits are no longer available
