Joscho and Tommy playing Mozart's Rondo at warp speed. Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Festival Rietberg/Germany, August 16th 2008. www.joscho-step... www.tommyemmanu...
Tommy graciously lets others have the spotlight. This is just one example. At his shows,he always invites the opener back during his encore and plays a role as back-up .Truly one of a kind guy.
amazing .... at this speed only Tommy could jump so easily from lead to rhythm without the slightest mistake ... it's much harder to do this than only doing lead or only rhythm ...
awesome greats..God bless u both..tommy u r so generous & kind with so many up & coming young talents letting them on lead & taking up the backing or accompaniment mostly..hats off to u tommy..warm regards..siva..india..
Rumour has it that Mozart was quite firm about tempo. This is a march, about half as fast as these guys play. They where they´ve got their fingers, I must say.
its the same piece "rondo alla turca" its italian for rondo in turkish, rondo is a musical form, turkish march is just the popular title, its still the same sonata no 11 in a major k331
in this case Tommy is the one that carries the water, Joscho is far superior to him, way way better guitarist if u ask me, Tommy is a genius but Joscho is something that even Django would wanna watch
We are really lucky. Without you, nobody would have talked from Mozart's mouth. But, with you, now we can know how he feels like about.......I don't know........"Amadeus" maybe? Now, seriously, I know what you mean, they made half a joke from that song. Mozart did the same with other pieces. He was so technicaly good that he could do it, and he did. So where is the crime about enjoying and having fun with music?
I don't think it's been the ruination of the piece, just an unusual setting by an unusual pair whose styles fall well outside the most appropriate classical idiom. Transcriptions to other instruments such as piano to guitar are common and are often well accepted by the fans of the novel instrument. Here the transcription is across styles as well as instruments and the resulting melange is chacun a son gout, if ya get my meaning. I can dig it. You can't. I hear respect and fun. You hear shit.
can you replicate that? if so please post ur talent, im pretty good on guitar but not that good . great to see classical music taken out its original form. pyrotechnics are people who light a match, not much skill involved , a bit like dj,s
True if you are speaking of playing in one style.Joscho plays gypsy very well.As far as all round, not so much. I like Joscho,I like Tommy,I liked Buster B Jones,he passed. But if you want to have a contest as to who is better,go talk to someone else.
Relax, it's just a show. Like when a virtuoso trumpet player does the Bumblebee. They are just pushing each other and having fun, it's not supposed to be a "musical" interpretation of that piece.
Terrible version indeed. This doesn't show any pleasant musicality, just plain virtuosity. Of course they are real masters on their own right but this is just a show, really. They push themselves to the limits and they survive, good for them. But this great piece of music shouldn't ever be played like this. This composition is almost always played in too high tempo and even among them this is extreme.
You have to be a great guitarist to jam with Tommy Emmanuel, but to have him play rhythm guitar for you, you have to be a guitar god!

Excellent‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️すごい‼️
It's AMAZING that Tommy could comp, put in pauses. space, play counter melodies at that speed.
Just amazing. Joshco is one fast mother though.
The Duke - never misses dissing Emmanuel wherever he comments. I think The Duke has issues.
cleanest rendition of rondo alla turca in the world !
amazing .... at this speed only Tommy could jump so easily from lead to rhythm without the slightest mistake ... it's much harder to do this than only doing lead or only rhythm ...
Tommy and Phil were playing this together when they were teenagers-maybe even younger!
INCREDIBLE!!
I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH MR.TM

awesome greats..God bless u both..tommy u r so generous & kind with so many up & coming young talents letting them on lead & taking up the backing or accompaniment mostly..hats off to u tommy..warm regards..siva..india..
Amazing!!! I couldn't belive that Tommy wasn't playing lead but still amazing!
If they are your support act for a concert.....you're screwed.
Imagine having Tommy Emmanuel as your rhythm guitar player.
My guitar listens to this when I’m not home
TOMMY N1!!!!!!!

Now I realized that I missed Phil..
So true.
Tommy and the other fella play Mozart, and at a breakneck tempo.
I could get used to this.
Tommy leads ,even the other great guitarists
its the same piece "rondo alla turca" its italian for rondo in turkish, rondo is a musical form, turkish march is just the popular title, its still the same sonata no 11 in a major k331

Pura pirotecnia musical.
There's not ONE song in the world Tommy can't play
I didn't know you were the official spokesperson for Mozart.
in this case Tommy is the one that carries the water, Joscho is far superior to him, way way better guitarist if u ask me, Tommy is a genius but Joscho is something that even Django would wanna watch
Tru that. I forgot this one :)
tommy could play josho's part aswell, they're both alien guitarists
They say "seeing is believing" but I'm seeing and I don't believe.

Jeez, how much caffeine must the pair of them drink! Fantastic

damn hack0rz :D
Musical acrobatics (speed and agility) makes it a sort of Olympic sport, not sure it fits the category of 'music' anymore.
you're fucking jealous hahahahaha
Maybe so, but it's damn fun to watch 😁💜
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS;SHOULD BE JUST A LITTLE FASTER...........
Face melting..... send help!

I think you'd like it better if the sound quality of the recording were better.
