There are things in there I have never seen before in 25 years listening to gypsy jazz. Excellent!
How does anybody become this great? I could practice 1000 hours a week and never even come close. He was blessed.
you could try and start with 40 hours a week, have you ever tried it? if you dont succeed in making big improvements after then, give it up
there a few videos of Joscho talking about how and what he practices on youtube, the rest is up to you.
If there is such a thing as talent it's the talent to have the discipline and dedication to put the time in.

The term "talent" is nicely described in Bukowski's poem "Don't do it" - the aspiration toward something that bursts out of you naturally and without your special will or control. What’s that kind of arpeggio that he plays at 2:58? And how does he plays it?
I'm not sure what I'm going to write is perfectly correct, but the tecnique is practically a one note per string ascending arpeggio. He is playing the triads of the chord progression, alternating two or three notes on the higher string. Every stroke is a down stroke.

Beautiful soulful composition in tribute to Django! (And thank you for that original video of Bossa Dorado. Beyond being an intensely inspirational introduction to gypsy jazz, it was my go-to song when the espresso bar was closed and I needed a quick pick-me-up in the late afternoon.
The lick from 8:23 sounds like quote from some song for me. Does anyone know if it really is? For 4 years i've been coming back to this song and each time I can't help but think that.

Watching his evolution over these years has been inspirational on a very personal level. Joscho is one of the greats already, and he's just getting started.
True but personally I think his original recording of this tune had more raw passion and intuitive musicality.

He is truly great.
The only thing he lacks is a true gypsy attitude. But that’s probably the same reason why his technique and repertoire is so damn good.

Não tinha dificuldade nenhuma quando malhava até um dia desse desde sempre nunca tive dificuldade, quando malhei e nunca tomei suplemento só tomei uma vez energético que era como se fosse uma água com açúcar só no começo de toda a malhação apenas depois tomei alguns energético e só não me lembro mais mas nunca suplemento

Bravo Joscho, au top comme d'habitude, un très grand guitariste. On sent cependant que cette guitare est moins adaptée à son jeu fantastique que les guitares manouche qu'il joue habituellement.
Bravo Joscho, as usual, a great guitarist. However, we feel that this guitar is less suited to his fantastic paying than gipsy guitars he usually plays.
Pourquoi cette guitarre est moins adaptée?
Si vous êtes guitariste, vous verrez que selon la guitare, certaines correspondent mieux à votre jeu, c'est normal quel que soit l'outil en général. Des guitaristes acoustiques tels Joscho ou Tommy Emmanuel , par exemple trouvent leur pleine expression sur des guitares dreadnouth acoustique ou électroacoustique, c'est d'ailleurs presque toujours qu'ils jouent sur ce type de guitare.
Ici, c'est une guitare de type arthop sans rosace mais avec des ouïes comme un violon. Elles sonnent moins pour le manouche ou le folk/picking mais sont plus adaptées au jazz années 50 par exemple.
Concernant Joscho, lorsqu'il joue du manouche, il utilise des guitares type Selmer, grande ou petite bouche.
