71 here, but I don't think I'm ready for multi-player. Family bought me an xbox to try sim/arcade racing games because I love to follow real auto events (F1/Indy and IMSA) I really suck at driving but I do like to do it as a single player seeing the track locations and the neat cars. Don't want to do multi-player because I don't want to mess up someone else's experience. This was a good guide, though. Subscribing to channel.
Don't worry about being slower, practice makes perfect. For now I can only say that challenging yourself in Rivals can help you get faster. I want to make a video on that eventually, but it will take some more time.

The featured multiplayer lobbies are made by Turn10, the developers. You can make your own private multiplayer lobbies, but there you have to invite people manually.
Yes, it is. It's just that almost everyone has a controller, but not many have a wheel at home, unless they're also racing on other sims. But in FM no input device is inherently better or worse (if you exclude keyboard maybe 😅).
My problem is people are getting 26 second laps on Grand oak while im only getting 57.2 laps. Almost seems like they are cheating but I cant be sure....
That seems weird. Grand Oak, even the short variant, should take 55+ seconds in Touring cars. If someone is doing 26 seconds, that definitly smells like cheating.
My thoughts exactly I believe that there is something going on because the time difference is way to far apart I've tuneed the heck out of my cars I've looked for every way to make my cars faster and they don't even come close something is going on and is not just good racing
Is there a point of buying a car for Spec Events? for example, can you at least change the livery for the online races even if you are unable to upgrade it?

Not sure about changing liveries. But what you do get from buying the car is the ability to level it. Rented cars can't be leveled up.

Yes, or anywhere else in the game, where you can use an upgraded car.

Nope, sadly no split screen support in the new Forza Motorsport.
