- In this video I go solo tent camping by a mountain lake. I enjoy solo tent camping by beautiful mountain lakes! I hiked 7 miles (11.25 km) to find this secluded camping spot deep in the forest. The lake was crystal clear and ice cold. I set up my tent on a hill overlooking the lake and enjoyed a peaceful evening next to my campfire. The stars were so bright! I could even see the Milky Way! When I woke up in the morning I was greeted by the sound of elk bugling on the other side of the lake. The air was crisp and the birds chirped quietly as the sun rose above the mountains behind me. It was an amazing trip and one of my favorites so far! I hope you enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds.

What is your favorite single person tent?
I bought a "GeerTop" tent a few years back. My thinking was, if I could get one good season from it, I would replace it when I could afford a "better" tent. I still use it, never having a reason to replace it. Love that little tent.

Great video!! Beautiful area. Mountain lakes make for a great camp setting. I was a little nervous when you were batoning your firewood, using a stone for base support. I know you knew what you were doing, but I was still going, "oh man, don't slip"!!😂 I was finally able to get my hot-tent and stove. Pretty excited to head to the mountains with it. I've set it up here on my place a few times just to get used to it. I believe it will be a fun piece of kit. Good to see you out. Happy trails!🪓 Roger

That area is beautiful. Maybe a Winter camp episode in the future?
I would love to do a winter camp there. Unfortunately it’s a 7 mile hike to the lake and in winter it is common to get 10+ feet of snow. It’s not impossible but I don’t know if I could make it lol.

フィールドアだったかな？前扉を跳ね上げると、簡易タープになるやつ。あと、フライシートがシルバーコーティングになってるもの。軽量テントで、夜明かりをつけたら、丸見えでびっくりしかたら。明かりつけても透けにくいタイプを使うようになった。徒歩だと、軽いのが一番かな。アライとか。
ネイチャーハイクのテントでしたか。予めグランドシートがセットでついてるのはいいですね。
私はこのテントがとても好きです。重さは非常に軽く、バックパックの小さなスペースしか占有しません。 Naturehike Vik 1 テントです。

What did you eat for dinner? Was it homemade?
It was Mountain House freeze dried beef stroganoff. I put it in a ziplock freezer bag so it took up less space in my pack. A couple of my backpacking friends gave me the idea.

Я думаю, что пить воду без фильтра было бы безопасно, но я был в 11 километрах в лесу и не хотел рисковать заболеть. Возвращаться к машине будет долго.

I went on a Wednesday/Thursday to avoid the crowds. Normally it is full of backpackers.
I have one doubt.. Please answer it.. Who is recording this video??? Does any man also went along with this guy to shoot? or how can one shoot this type of camping videos???
I always record everything myself with one camera. I am alone most of the time. If someone is with me you will also see them in the video. I use a tripod and move it around between 100-150 times for every video. Then I edit all the video clips together to make it appear that someone is recording or that I have multiple cameras. It takes a lot of work and even more time but I really enjoy the process.
