- In this video I go hot tent camping by a mountain lake. This was my first time hot tent camping by a mountain lake and it was amazing! I use my OneTigris Smokey Hut hot tent and Pomoly T1 Mini stove high in these beautiful mountains. I hiked 6.5 miles (10.5 km) to reach the lake while carrying 63 lbs (28.5 kg) of gear! There was still some snow on the ground but the weather was amazing. It was 22 years ago when I first camped at this lake with my dad. That adventure is what peaked my interest in the outdoors and is the reason this channel exists today. I had a great time and I hope you enjoy the video!

It was an amazing view! I experimented with talking in some of my videos but I decided that I like the asmr format a lot better. BUT there is a talking version of this video and it adds about 15-20 minutes lol.

Sir, how do you deal with bugs, especially mosquitos and ants? I get bit up in my yard...I can't imagine how bad it would be in the woods.
I can relate to that! The biggest pests I encounter on my trips are mosquitos, biting flies, and ants. In spring and summer I try to wear long sleeves and pants if it's not too hot outside. When it's too hot for that I use bug spray with a 100 Deet rating. I've tried wrist/ankle bracelets with citronella but had limited success. I recently bought a portable bug zapper/flashlight/phone charger called Keilini - www.ponira.com/me/keilini/view . Bugs aren't really a problem right now so I haven't had a chance to use it but it looks promising. I've also heard some campers swear by those bug net hats that cover your face but I've never tried one. Hope that helps!

Thank you! That is a very good question. I have not used this tent in a storm so I don't know what would happen. The gap between the tent and the ground can be covered with snow in winter but in summer it is open. I really like this tent. I use it often.

Don’t use stones to cut on with your saws and knives. How many times did you hit them. Both looked dull. Good video otherwise
Thank you for watching! I have never hit the saw on a rock. I use it a lot so it’s probably getting a little dull from use. I did however hit the knife once on the rock. It was only $30 bucks and it came with a sharpener so I’m not too worried about it. Sometimes I just prefer splitting on a rock because it is sturdier than a log. It is a risk though, you are right.

It’s ok 😊 Aneroid Lake is a very popular hiking/camping destination. There were campers all around the lake while I was up there. My campsite was just off the main trail. I even had to reshoot one of my scenes because a group of hikers walked right through my camp while I was recording lol.
