Just came back home today and was testing your combos. Thank you very much. By the way not sure when you recorded this. But I have been starting my level 2 combo with a heavy into double auto medium and I end up with +42 after the second heavy DP. Making it a safe jump after the level 2. Great stuff. Thanks for the awsome tech

Appreciate the love! There are many different LV2 routes for Ed and some require position awareness of where you are on the stage. If you go back to watch EVO VODs for momochi's replays, you can see him using ifferent routes based on the game situations and adjusted accordingly. If you don't plan to be a tournament player, I don't think it's necessary to learn all those techs though, but I would still recommend learning the desync/dream combo route if you want to put in the work for him. It's too resource efficient to not go for that route when the situation allows for it.

On medium autocombo , if you over extend you can go into forward special , light blitz and you are at +42. So you can get a safe jump out of it too.

Great video and appreciate your works!! I am trying to learn Modern ED and found this detailed breakdown.🥰🥰
Could you consider also making a beginner guide for Modern Cammy and/or Modern Juri if you are familiar with them? A short video will definitely help as well. Thank You!

Appreciate the love! The video turned out way longer than expected but there are just so much to go over for Ed, so thanks for watching!
Modern Cammy is definitely on my to-do list, so stay tuned!

@@n0dding Sure! I know you must be putting a lot of effort into this Modern ED video, it is really comprehensive!
I actually started playing Modern ED and Modern Cammy because of your Top 4 Modern Control Characters video. Looking forward to the Modern Cammy one and thank you again!

are you using hitbox or controller? I saw Tachikawa using hitbox when playing as Ed. I'm looking for someone who play like that to show me how they accurately press the auto button when doing combos. I need to see how their hands are moving lol if you could have a camera showing how your hands move I'd really appreciate it or if you could explain it to me like I was a new born or simply tell me a drill I could do to get use to it.

@@ModernFightingGames I do play with a leverless controller, but I don't have a camera so I can't record footage of my hands for you.
I think the most difficult part starting out is getting used to where the buttons are and assign them to a comfortable spot that you can press easily.
My button layout on the left side for movement is default. The top row going from left to right: L/ M/ H/ Auto. The bottom row going from left to right: DI/ SP+H (macro for Super)/ SP/ Parry. For Ed specifically, I'd suggest macroing killrush(L+H or M+H) as well if you have more than 8 buttons on your leverless, or replace the super macro for killrush.
Based on my button layout, for something simple like Auto+M>Auto+M>4SP my fingers would be hitting right pinky+right middle finger twice for Auto+M twice then use my left ring finger to press and hold 4 and right index will slide from H down to SP to get 4SP.
If you are having trouble with DP motion (623), I personally press 626 to satisfy the input condition, and this is the only that works for me timing wise and inputting it correctly. There are a lot of different DP inputs and shortcuts you can do with leverless, so you need to find one that works for you.
If there is a specific combo route you are having trouble with, comment with the string sequence and I can let you know how I would perform it!
