CYCLOCROSS RACE ACTION & DISASTER

- Опубліковано 13 жов 2024
- Jumping back into the cyclocross scene after a 6-week break, and this one hit hard! My first cyclocross race of 2024 was at round 4 of the Wessex CX League in Prospect Park, Reading. It was my first race since becoming a Dad, and wow, it was a brutal wake-up call!
With my training on pause and a bit of 'Dad weight' added on, I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I didn't expect to struggle this much. The power just wasn't there, leading to one of my worst results in recent memory. But that's the beauty of cyclocross - it challenges you, pushes you, and reminds you why you love racing!
I hope you enjoyed the video and please do like & subscribe!

21st is pretty familiar for me, will love to see your comeback story to inspire all us mid pack wannabes
The rest of us mid-packers enjoy watching your ride around, even it it isn't riding around really fast.
Fantastic effort considering. I don’t feel so bad about being slow and blaming it on being a dad! Looking forward to the next video. Top work fella and congrats
Bring it on at Southampton!!!! I will ensure I have my Liss kit. Rob and I will 1-2 you so at least one of us can say we have beaten you.
😂 looking forward to it 🫡
Hang in there Giorgio. Give yourself some grace here. You've had a life changing event with becoming a new dad. That is enough to make a man exhausted. Just do your best. I like your videos weather your first place or last place. Keep up the good work dad. 👍💪👊
🙌🙌
Ian Bealed it, haha. Keep going mate
Great video Gino can you do 4 vids a week love the great commentary and all the action I need more of these to get me through a week great content so funny picks me right up.
Good health and wishes to your family thank you once again.🙏🚴🏽♂️
Thanks 🙏 and Haha I would love to put out 4 videos a week but struggle getting 1 or 2 edited 😅
Great race, Dad! You’ll figure it out!
Finally some race footage that wasn't just from the front of the race watching Paul Lloyd vanishing on the first lap! 😂
Still showing good numbers Giorgio, have some patience and you'll move forward again
😂 very true more action to watch now more people are in front of me 😂
You don’t give yourself enough credit, remember new baby, broken sleep, reduced fitness training plus you’ve put some weight on which you wanted. Give yourself a bit of time to adjust and I know you’ll be back, I have faith. Well done 😉 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Im hoping a few races and my body will adapt a bit as well, the first one is always more painful 😅
All and any cycling is great, its when the passion goes it's sad,...great vid!!
Omg a hot 90 seconds hahaha
Your power looks really good though, you're doing big sections at 400+
I wouldn’t look to much into the 12 mins of footage, my average power was just over 200w which will give you an idea of the other 50 mins of racing 😂
awesome race vid and commentary GC...vintage stuff from the start...for a second at least! those big power figures worked well for the epic end battle - keep on giving it some...90s is all it takes! :) cheers, made me smile, thanks
I had the win off the line and that’s all that matters 😂
CX is back BABY! Finaly got the time to sit down and watch your vids again! Chin up mate! itll come!
I took a look at my FTP the other day and it screamed : DAD!
Planning on getting back into XC form from January!
Looking forward to follow your season!
😂 I hope you can get back to top form, it’s definitely not easy anymore 😂
😂 I hope you can get back to top form, it’s definitely not easy anymore 😂
wasnt that cycloboy riley coming past in the blue/green flouro ?? 🤣🤣 youll be back on top form when you allowed to sleep again 100% 👍👍😁😁
It could have been… I think just about everyone overtook me 😂
That low heart rate?
Used my watch to track hr and it sometimes takes a while to catch up and isn’t always 100% accurate
I think you're taking this baby topic a bit too seriously. Imagine with ignoring the baby and more training you could've achieved 18th or even 16th place instead of 21st. Priorities mate!
😂 I would like to hope if I was still full on training I would do a bit better than 16th 😂
