Elvis wasn’t just a singer. He was an entertainer & he loved making his fans happy. He enjoyed interacting with them & he loved helping people when they needed help. He bought houses & cars for people, sometimes complete strangers. If he read of something bad happening to someone he would often act on it. He read of a solo mother whose home burned down, & it was just before Christmas. So he told one of his staff to rent an apartment for the lady & her children, for six months, & to fully furnish it with everything they might need, & to buy toys, books & clothing for the children. When he was asked if they should tell the lady it was him doing this, he said no. Just tell them it was Santa. His heart was so caring. He said that God had blessed him with a way to earn lots of money, so that he could give it to those in need. He supported cancer charities & childrens’ hospitals & when he was younger, he had helped fund the Martin Luther King movement, enjoying several private phone calls with Martin Luther King himself. He was a very spiritual man, always seeking for the greater purpose of his life. He never forgot that he had grown up in abject poverty, one of four very poor white families living within a very poor black community. He gave so much joy to billions of people worldwide, & yet he was a humble man who thanked God for everything he had. He was 42 years old when he passed, but he had been very sick for quite some time, really starting to go downhill in his health from around 1974. But he would not stop doing concerts & touring, because he never wanted to disappoint his fans. It was said that he died of a heart attack or cardiac arrest, in his home in August 1977. His mother had died of a heart attack at age 47, & two cousins had died of heart issues in their forties. His only child, Lisa-Marie Presley died of a cardiac arrest at age 54. He thought that nobody would remember him when he was gone, but here we are, 47 years after his death, & millions of people still visit his home, Graceland, every year, & billions of people worldwide still love him & miss him. There will Never be another Elvis. No-one will even come close. Thank you for your Reaction to this beautiful performance.

Oh yeah, Elvis orchestrated all the music and the singers. He didn't have a stage manager, or anyone else putting the music or background singers together. Everything on an Elvis stage came out of Elvis. He was the King

If you will just pay attention to him he directs his band and his backup singers with all of his hand movements and motions. This is why he's the king of rock and roll he was a master at his craft of entertaining! There will never be another voice or person like him! Nobody will measure up to Elvis Presley The King of Rock and Roll! Even though he would tell you that he's not the king there's only one king and that's the Lord.

I'm 70 now n grew up during Elvis time. I became friends with Charlie Hodge his confidant and best friend for years after Elvis died n he told me many great stories about Elvis his friend. I wrote journal over 150 pages on everything Charlie told me esp fun things that happened in his suite, back stage in dressing room, I never wanted to write a book as all the things Charlie told me are private n special to me, I think I remember almost all his songs n ones he sang in the movies he did. I didn't check your playlist but here are 2 I love Patch It Up,(1970Vagus)You Gave Me A Mountain ( Aloha concert 1973 that I'm sure you knew was broadcasted around the world and seen by 1.5 Billion people I sat in 3rd row center n couldn't take my eyes off of him I better stop now or you will be bored with me

Can you imagine never having to go anywhere without people swarming over you. If he wanted to go to a theme park or movie theater he had to buy it out or go when it was closed. Fame has it's draw backs. Felt sorry for anyone who lives like that, even today's artists.

Elvis arranged the songs as he wished. Tutt (drummer) said that he had to watch Elvis closely during concerts because Elvis would make little changes, talk to fans during songs, kiss fans, change tempo, extend or shorten songs depending on how he felt the flow was going , etc... He said to make no mistake, Elvis conducted the band as he performed!! In one concert, you can hear Elvis say "Keep up Tutt"!!! Elvis died August 16, 1977.

God bless him. He was reported to die 1977. August 16. There were many strange circumstances around it. He was working himself to death. He had health issues from childhood. Pretty rough. Sleep walker. From childhood. With touring took medicine prescribed to sleep. Medicine to wake. Only slept about 4-5 hours a night. Was burning candle both ends. Gained weight. Problems with colon. Took pain pills. So he stayed awake all night and slept day. Was not doing well. Came back from touring. Was planning to get off all the medicine. Messed with him. But one early morning he was found in bathroom floor. Reported heart attack. Several people found him. So sad. But then later. Years. Rumors was alive and had faked death. Wanted to go another path with his life. Mystery today. Recommend watch UA-cam video callled Elvis is alive. Look for lot of red background on the video advertisement. Supposedly him pictured to right side. Gray hair. Does resemble. The interview that is recorded shows a likeness sitting in dark. Sounds exactly like him. Amazing story he tells of his life. Was filmed 2012. Do look for it.

Elvis had more SOUL in his little finger than most artists had in their bodies! This man FELT every single note and poured 110% emotion in his vocals. POLK SALAD ANNIE LIVE - If you want to really SEE this man move to every beat of a song, that's the one! It gives me such JOY to see a younger audience appreciate this insanely talented music artist. You will be amazed not only by ELVIS' voice, but learning more about him as a person. No one was more generous, he genuinely loved his fans - and believed that every single person deserved to be respected. And, ELVIS believed in GOD and wasn't afraid to voice his belief, correcting people when they called him "The King" - ELVIS would remark, "There's only one King, that's God."

Elvis was only 42 when he died in 1977. His autopsy was ordered sealed until 2027 by his father, Vernon. The circumstances leading up to his death included poor health from years of exhausting non-stop touring, drug abuse with prescription drug pills, poor sleep habits, depression, weight gain, poor diet. He started taking what was called back then "pep pills" either in his early touring days in the 1950s or in the army. But really I read from one Elvis biographer that the drug abuse became out-of-control after his wife, Priscilla, left him in 1972. He supposedly fell into a depression and increased drug use coincided with a demanding tour schedule which he allowed partially because he felt he needed to take care of his people (friends, family, band members, entourage known as the Memphis Mafia). It's really sad because Elvis, despite living an incredible life, never got to realize so many of his dreams. He was an incredible, generous and kind man whose physical and mental health were ruined by the demands he felt internally and externally. But Elvis is immortalized in music, soul and spirit by the affection we all feel for him. I hope there is a Heaven and the King is sitting back witnessing with satisfaction our appreciation for the gift of himself that he bestowed upon us all.

Elvis left his mark on the world because he was genuine and no one before or since could equal him in talent, looks or style. Everything he did was done with his full attention to detail. He had an amazing sense of beauty and style and brought it out in everything he touched. There’s been no equal or better and there won’t be. He’s to America what King Tut was to the Egyptians.

Tho Presley had some big hits on the pop charts post 1969, it was the country & western charts where he had his greatest success. He had #1 albums & many #1 songs on the C&W charts in the 1970s. The last number 1 song and #1 album he saw in his lifetime were both country #1s....

We're so lucky to have Elvis videos to watch. His career began in 1954. Unfortunately, they weren't filming his concerts in the '50s because too many people thought he was just a fad that would die out quickly. There are TV appearances on Stage Show, The Milton Berle Show, The Steve Allen Show. and The Ed Sullivan Show. It would be fun to see you react to a young Elvis. He died of a heart attack in 1977 at the age of 42. He suffered with several genetic health issues and, through the years, became more and more reliant on prescription drugs to keep up with his demanding schedule. He was truly one of a kind and recorded over 700 songs for all of us to enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing your Elvis journey and for helping to keep his legacy alive!!

He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and i understood him we cared about each other faults and all. What it comes down to is we both needed a friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. i have spent my entire adult life speaking out to people that try and judge a beautiful soul that is not here to defend himself. as long as i have breath in my lungs no one i mean no one will disrespect him period. You should watch the movie Elvis. It will answer many of your questions. I know you're just starting your Elvis journey but you clearly already see why Elvis is in a category by himself. It's the fact that Elvis makes you feel the way you do when you see him performing. Elvis has an effect on people that no other artist ever has and this is just evidenced by you reacting to him as you are since it's the way his fans first reacted to him plus the way were the first fans to ever scream for the singer because we may think that's a typical reaction but before Elvis, the normal reaction was to simply applaud only once the song was over.
Elvis didn't just have this effect on girls but guys, too, and people who were fellow performers and friends. Johnny Cash said Elvis was the best performer ever and it didn't matter if there was 50 people in the crowd or 50,000, he said it was impossible to take your eyes off him and when they were on touring, when Elvis did his set Cash also said that everyone back stage would stand there watching him. Thank God that Elvis was captured for the unfortunate ones who came after he'd already gone.

Ditto Michael, love that he gave ELVIS the second chance, I knew my main man Elvis would win him over, no other way, ELVIS is MUSIC and Charisma with a capital C, I listen to many of the Elvis reactions,, and I haven't seen anyone who doesn't fall in love with this beautiful man of ours, makes me feel so damn proud. '68 Comeback Concert (black leather outfit). "Tryin' to Get Back To You"
Jail House Rock video. One of Elvis' earlier performances.
Elvis's version of Unchained Melody...it was his last live stage performance. This was a few weeks before he died, he had gained a lot of weight and his health was poor. Even so, he sang the heck out of the song. His voice was as strong as ever.

I LOVE that YOU have found a new love for Elvis. I watched your first reaction video to an Elvis song, that carne across my screen... And subscribed. Love your honest appreciation for The King. There will never be another like Elvis. He was all heart and talent. More soul than any white person before or after him. He can sing anything, he could make the grocery list sound good, just reading it. You're one of my 3 fave reactors on YT. Love seeing you spread the Elvis love to a new generation.
Please do a reaction to Elvis' songs, Kentucky Rain, Separate Ways, and Peace in the Valley.

Would love to have you react to I’m So Lonesome I Could Die. You get 2 see Elvis reaction to hitting a note. Elvis died @ 42. A lot of misconceptions, Many people say it was from a drug overdose, but it’s also said due to a heart attack. His mother died around age 47 & her 2 brothers died an early age. Elvis always said he would go early & so he lived life to the fullest. There’s a book, Destined To Die Young by Sally Hoedel (It’s a gr8 read & on you tube). According to the author he had disease & disorder in 9 of the 11 systems of the body. Can you imagine? & yet he toured & gave such good performances. This contributed to his taking so many prescription medications & his weight fluctuations.

Polk Salad Annie and Suspicious Minds are his most famous Las Vegas tunes (both featured in the recent ELVIS movie and brilliantly portrayed by Austin Butler). Watch the movie AFTER you react to both of those Elvis performances!!!
