And that’s why Mark Hamill is my favorite actor to play or voice the Joker. Just like Kevin Conroy is my favorite actor to play or voice Batman. Rest In Peace Kevin Conroy.
On a serious note he had to perfect this laugh, something now considered as iconic as batman himself. When you think of the joker, you think of Mark Hamill and that dastardly laugh of his, which is the most perfect casting of a character to date IMO. We just so have happened to exist and experience a world where the casting for the Joker was just somehow perfectly handed to the exact right person to play him.
Yeah, looking back now, the heck with Jack Nicholson. Someone should've told the studio that Mark Hamill can play a villain and have him as Joker in the 89 film. Heck I would have preferred a whole live action tv series of Batman, if it meant Hamill can laugh his way through in every episode.
Greetings, Jokermites! Since 2017, Mark has reprised his role as Joker a few times and was worth updating the compilation for. Here an extra 2 minutes and 34 seconds of maniacal laughter have been added to the compilation, continuing to make it the most complete Mark Hamill Joker laugh montage on the internet! 🃏 Apologies for the quick takedown and re-upload, some minor complications that have now been resolved.
Is this gonna get another update, since Mark is reprising the role again in Multiversus and Crisis on Infinite Earths part 3 (sadly, for the last time)?
For the longest time, I had a hard time BELIEVING that he was Luke throughout the time in my life where I mostly associated actors with their voices rather than themselves on screen (which I kind of still do to this day since live action has been getting worse over the past 4 years).
This may be me going into lunacy, but hearing Mark Hamil's Joker Laugh always brings a smile to my face because of the range of all the laughs. It just leaves me breathless and with a smile.
Probably my favorite is the Killing Joke laugh. Idk in Hamill's performance there's something about it that's more believable or realistic than his usual laughs.
My favourite performance of his has got to be Return of the Joker. "You're out of your league McGinnis. I know every move the real Batman and Robin knew at their peak."
35:00 credits where he sings and crys and laughs, is one of the saddest. I know he did horrible things, but in the end, maybe, he really cared for Batman to be alive and fool around with him more.
Trivia: When Mark was perfecting his laugh he was inspired by the 1933 Invisible Man. He also practiced what he would sound like doing the now famous laugh on his way to record. When he first did his laugh, legend has it they thought Mark snapped. XD Also a spooky or hilarious coincidence: Mark Hamill, [m Arkham ill.]
"But all too soon, the shocks and the serums took their toll, and the boy began to share such secrets with me. Secrets that are mine alone to know... Bruce. It's true, Batsy! I know everything. And kinda like the kid who peeks at his Christmas presents, I must admit, it's sadly anti-climactic. Behind all the sturm and bat-o-rangs, you're just a little boy in a playsuit, crying for mommy and daddy! It'd be funny if it weren't so pathetic... 🤔 OH WHAT THE HECK? I'll laugh anyway! HA HA HA HA HA HAAAA!!!!!!!" - Joker
Fun fact: Did you know that In one of the Stories of the comics, Joker(or at least a CLONE of the Joker) Admitted that it REALLY hurts whenever he laughs, Because of the Acid chemicals he fell in? Just imagine the amount of Pain The joker Really Is on just because of this video.
How paradoxical that Mark Hamill does the voice of the Joker, given that he played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars film franchise. Now people will never see Luke Skywalker without envisioning him doing that creepy and insane laughter.
When I try telling people who never watched this growing up how genuis Mark Hamill's take of the Joker is, I show them the clip of Joker in the Copywright Office in BTAS and tell them "imagine being alone in your house and you turn and see a clown with a cartoonish purple suit, with a beaklike nose, a hairstyle from the gentleman's club from Hell, and a distinctive yellow toothy grin so wide that it almost passes the outer corner of his sunken-in malevolent eyes. That is the last voice you want to hear emanating from such a character."
Here’s how I see it: It became noticeable when he appeared in the justice league cartoon cos the design used in that cartoon we associated with his more youthful and whimsical voice , didn’t mind it as much in Arkham aslyum and City cos his more worn out voice fitted the design. Everything else…yeah doesn’t work as well to me. Especially in killing joke, the design didn’t match with the voice to me at all
@@seilenberger It doesn’t unfortunately. When I played it years ago I was looking forward to it, but Mark wasn’t pulled back in the studio. They reused laughs heard throughout the base game.
"Only Joker can laugh and cry at the same time" Well, I guess I'm kinda Joker. When I'm very, VERY tired or when life is sad, vile shit, my inner Joker wakes up.
fans love this and so do I because you know the silliness great memories of wacky you want to revisit and not leave such insanely fun times well this clown relieves people of bordom they faceI mean after all haven't you heard the healing power of laughter ?
Mark Hamill set the standard for what the Joker should be like. Same with Kevin Conroy as Batman.
Nightmare:"16:50"
16:51 I still consider that Mark Hamill’s BEST Joker laugh to this day.
It's UP there.
One of my favorites.
I agree! this one is my second favourite 1:42 :)

Probably my favorite laugh of all time. It’s absolutely amazing.
There are so many flavors. The impish giggle. The fiendish chuckle. The mad cackle. And the utter shrieks of lunacy.
1:55 - Those goons wondering "Why are we working for this guy again?"

Hamill’s joker is so iconic I sometimes forget he’s luke skywalker
Yep, a hero and a super villain at the same time.
That is why Luke Skywalker should be known as Laughing Luke.
@@Lunarbobadragons him and Cameron Monaghan both played an iconic joker and iconic Jedi

My favorite part was when he laughed!
Good man.
I really liked when Mark Hamill laughed.
Right? I mean we’re getting what we came for.
Mine too
Especially the part where he laughed
the sheer dedication of getting the footage for these laughs, even going through obscure games and all of DCUO lmfao. Truly passionate to the craft.
Mark Hamill's Joker's laugh always leaves me laughing ha ha ha ha ha HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!

9:44 La mejor risa del Joker
Imagine breaking into Mark Hamill’s house one night and you hear the Joker laughing.
OH GOD.
13:37 Imagine if you heard this laugh once you step foot through the window.
