EXCELLENT DECISION !!. We must go back to using leaf plates and bowls and bamboo cutlery. dried leaf plates and bowls which is also called "Pattal" ke plate has been in use in villages forever. No tree would have to be cut to make these plates. these plates can be made from any broad leaf. also banana trunks, palm tree leaves can all be used to make plates and bowls. halved coconut shells can be used as bowls if just a small machining done to smoothen its base and edges. in villages its already used as serving spoons. there are so many alternatives to plastic found in nature without having to harm nature in any way. jackfruit leaves are woven together to make small baskets for steaming idlis in south India . Even screwpine leaves are used to make a tight tall glass kind of container. such stuff can be easily used to serve any kind of gravy or even semi liquid stuff. if done right these things do not leak. In Kerala people even make pouches from banana leaves to pack Rasam which is a very watery stuff. if banana leaves are warmed up a bit on fire , it becomes like a cloth and can be easily folded or tied up without tearing it. there are so many kinds of grass that are hollow, even stems of grains like rice and maize are hollow. these can be easily used as straws. thinner hollow grass can be simply treated with edible starch like rice or tapioca (sabudana) starch to make it stiffer and used as straws.
@anuj ramrati, there is a video on your channel which shows how banana trees are helpful in making biodegradable products, that can also be a solution to dependencies on papers and wood.

Anuj ji appreciate ur efforts n willingness towards the cause!
But , yes , the reality 😵💫 the practicality , the transition , implement action plan , awareness a much Imp thing - govt doesn't seem to have the idea of how people - d system is going on with plastic usage !!
Apart from Alternative u have suggested , i think , govt make d rule to produce only grade palstic PLUS
Start d initiative to give financial incentive for RECYE BUSINESS with COLLABORATION WITHIN STATES - CITY - TOWN - VILLAGE !!
Let's declare an war against wast plastics.
Plastic ban bhut achha h or hum puri trah se agree h but ghar se bartan le jana practical solutions nhi h kuch difrent meterial bnana chahiye jo eco frendly ho jese agar street food wale mitti ke bartan ka use krne lage chai wala kuldah ka use kre to isse job v badegi or eco frndly v hoga
