4 years since your passing Kevin, still remembered fondly. God bless your soul. Your beautiful videos live on and still inspire.
I feel such a loss having found out this lovely man has died. RIP sir.
What happened to him? 😔
@@SynthFreaq it could also be the case. As we grow older, our bodies tend to be fickle especially with diets that mainly include processed foods. The damage even happens earlier and worse for caucasian races. When you reach 35+, you should really watch what you eat.

He died? How?
Never mind. I saw the earlier comment
I binge watched all his videos before buying my own hot tent. Now every time I go hot tent camping I am always trying to recreate the settings that he had, as if this is the meka I want to reach. I even looked at the weather report and tried to camp when it was same conditions like in his other video. So, instead of saying things like "rest in peace", I say that he really impacted me through these videos. At the end, even when everything was the same, then only thing missing was his persona - that cannot be copied.
Flash back at beginning when Kevin mentions using the fry pan before, cooking peppers and of course the sacred bacon.
I'm really glad I found this channel I absolutely love it
Thanks!
i found this channel recently and ive just found out the sad news. :(
Rest In Peace, Kevin.
R.I.P WOODS WALKER. GOD SPEED SIR!. LOVE MY FRIEND.YOU WILL. BE MISSED!.

Still using the toaks fry pan you recommended that my wife and I brought on our honeymoon at the Grand Canyon! We've used it a ton since. Thanks so much for these Walker and thanks again for taking me out into the woods again today. :)
I really miss seeing new uploads from Kevin the mega woods walker he gave us 9 wonderful years of outdoor experience videos before he suddenly passed away in January 2020 😥 R.I.P. You're truly missed.

@@canadianrocketman3475 heart attack after hiking . He made it home and collapsed .
@@jodyvanliew2514 Oh god... that's terrible.
Apparently Sudden Cardiac Death is the major cause of death for male hiker above 34yo...
The longer the time window from the last meal or drink the larger the risk. I am used to exercising while fasting, but to someone unexperienced who would do a workout like hiking which is intensive on the heart... Fatal. Be careful my fellow men.
We miss you Kevin. I had the honor of messaging you on Zombie Hunters years ago.
Nothing more relaxing than watching Walker make a cozy fire on a cold day. Blessings of Bacon upon you!
Idea: Instead of a loop of a fireplace for xmas season, how about a loop of bacon in a frying pan?
Thanks!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Titanium has the issue of not spreading heat evenly and also tends to warp. So for a frying pan it is less than ideal. It will burn a small spot of your pancake while the rest is raw. For a cup or pot for boiling water that is fine. For actual cooking, not so much. I prefer anodized aluminum for cookware. I have a Primius Litech frying pan that is 8" in diameter 2" deep and weighs 262 grams (9.24 ounces). It works great for cooking. I am also a fan of GSI cookware. I have their tea kettle set along with their pinnacle soloist pot. They all work great for my needs.
Happy Holidays Walker.
Thanks for a year of great content.
Thanks brother!
That folding fire pit.....👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Yep, nonstick on high heat, no good. Their titanium cup looks good. Merry Christmas 🎄
I really like that fire pit. Sames me time dealing with a fire ring! Thanks for watching!
This was very helpful. Im
Actually shopping for a titanium pan right now. Thanks for the insight🤙

Having just found your channel, it was your love of sacred bacon that got me to sub.
And ultimately lead to his premature death :/ I don't know how I feel about bacon any more
Great review.. yes I agree don't like that most come with coating.. besides some of that stuff is really bad health wise if ingested.. and even if it wasn't who wants to ingest any kind of coating? Have a great holiday.. 👍
Thanks part of the issue as well. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! I just purchased the frying pan!
It's good! Thanks for watching!
You're living the dream haha this looks so badass
Thanks for giving us something to look forward to all year, man.
I like the "Bellows" you used to breathe air into those coals. Pure genius! I have a couple feet of tubing I'm glad I didn't throw away. Got one of those grills on my Have-To-Have list now! Thank you Sir!
Also, need to see some more fishing mixed in with your video's. Fishing is the only thing I love as much as camping/hiking. Looking forward to you frying up some of those trout!
Works well lixada came a long way I like there fire boxes
Thank you and merry Christmas

Forget the pan that fire pit looks awesome 👍🏻👍🏻
Iv tried a few over the years and I wind up going back to my cast pan. Yes it is heavier but it cooks better and one thing I can say is clean up is very easy ,( for me ). A few pan's I have are so seasoned nothing sticks .scramble eggs even .
🤔 really wish I could post a pic or two here . 😔
I love my cast iron too!
Great video. Just found his videos today and then learned he has passed away. Very sad.

Setting up the Hot tent! I hope he comes.
Thanks for the review Walker.
Thanks for the video and Happy Holidays to you!
I just bought a similar titanium pan. I was disappointed that I burned my potatoes on olive oil on my first cooking. Now I know thanks to your reviews that it is normal even on more expensive frying pans.
Nothing like some bacon in the woods. For cooking on a fire I still prefer stainless steel. Thanks for sharing. Take care and have a good one.
Uploading on Christmas Eve. Like a trooper. Thank you!
Happy Holidays and happy camping!
Looked like a pretty good breakfast to me

I'm up to four full one quart baggies filled with fatwood shavings. It's the perfect kindling / firestarter and a one quart baggie is very light. All I need is 1 baggie for 5 or more campfires. Just ordered another 25 pound box of fatwood too. I'm going to make this stuff all winter long.
I have a box of fatwood. I should crack it out for a firestarter.

Great review as always.
That stove certainly sets up a nice bed of coals for cooking.
these lixada pans are also sold as boundless voyage and pathfinder, they're all identical
I love the videos man! When you said well let’s start and fire and cook some eggs and bacon 🥓 .. I said OHHH 😮 hell yaaaa !! lol 😂
Got the one without the handle Kev. It's lighter and cheaper and I always have a pot grabber in my bag. Great pan!
I have a pot grabber and considered that option. Thanks for watching!
Good field test. Good breakfast
Good video! Hard to find the perfect fry pan. In regards to the no cut gloves, I have a pair called No Cry gloves. It helps with preventing cuts by accidental slips with a knife or cutting edge tools. The negative aspect of the gloves is that the material is slippery and you don’t get a good grip on the tool. I was using my hatchet and it slipped right out of my hand. For this reason, I don’t use the No Cry gloves.
Merry Christmas Kevin !
Nice video. Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
By the way, like your style brother 👍
Great review and video, Kevin! I didn't realize those pans were coated. Good to know if in case I save enough pennies to buy one by the time you find the perfect one. ;) Merry Christmas!
I miss this guy : (
I hope prepper clause comes sees you tonight merry christmas
ah nice the ol ti goat stove, nice to see it still in action at the beginning of the video
however whats the open top version?
Merry Christmas to you & the family Sir
trying rubbing a bar of soap on the bottom of them before cooking over the fire, the fats in the soap should catch the soot
I don't care for the brand in general because they appear to specialize in ripping off other brands, which I'm not at all willing to support. But this looks good since it's just a simple frying pan.
Have you tried a heat diffuser with your Ti to keep it from burning so easy and making for a more even cooking temp overall. Seems like that little bit would really help make that a better cooking pan with it.
sadly he didn't get to use this new frying pan very much r.i.p
hey walker I am going to try this hot tenting I live in South Carolina about 20 minutes from the mountains I think we have a sporting goods place in Clemson that sells hot tents so wish me luck
I have the exact same lixada pan and it's been good cooking on the fire coals and used as a plate as seen in some of my vids, cannot argue about the $ price either 👍
Try out the stanley base camp fry pan
Walker who won the giveaway I've been waiting for a video posting but haven't seen one
I don't do a video postings of GAW winners. I make an announcement in the description and contact the person via the public comments. John won however he didn't contact me. So made a second contact request.
Oh ok merry Christmas my friend can't wait to the next video do you have to go to work my friend
Stanley makes a great fry pan I have one check it out it has a thick bottom
Hey Walker!!! I just saw an Amazing thing...you have to try!!!! I'm going to for sure..SOON. popcorn popped in BACON GREASE!!!!! OMG!! looked great..he said it tasted like bacon!!!! CREDIT TO CORPARALS CORNER..
Grinder the inside surface smooth to reduce sticking and reduce oil use. Depending on effort, the surface can be every bit as smooth as a polished-bowl spoon. + Skillet is by far the preferred cooking pan, it's even better for boiling water. But choosing only one, Bot wins out? Ability to seal and cold-soak are just too compelling? Gonna miss this pan (been on the wishlist for weeks).
I got a good non stick pan at REI. There are better areas to save weight. I clean off my pan with a paper towel and it looks like it just came off the shelf.
Hi Walker , I really enjoy watching your camping out activities .Wish Merry Christmas and prosperous happy new year to you , your family , friends and who watch your channel 🎄 Thanks.
Thanks for the review Kevin. I was thinking about buying the Keith frying pan, wasn't aware that the titanium cookware came with coatings. Haven't bought any titanium anything yet and most of it is really expensive. I would definitely like to get the Lixada. Do you think if you used titanium pots and pans on wood stoves and backpacking stoves instead of over a fire, they wouldn't warp? I finally made an ammo box stove last weekend from a kit I bought from Pack-A-Flame, just did my first burn the other day, have to burn it in some more. Also haven't got the tent yet.
Happy Holidays!
That pan looks like it scorched... with all the burnt black oil it had. Thx for the review, I'll stick with my cast iron. I know its much heavier but it works much better, in my opinion.
Is it really that big of a deal weight wise titanium and stainless? All of my kit is stainless even stoves..curious...MERRY CHRISTMAS...love the sacred bacon!!
Hi. Any difference between this one made of titanium and another aluminium pan (without non-stick layer)? better to clean or the same? I don't have anything made of titanium here to test.
Titanium is way better, I season mine on ebikecnx7239 channel and nothing sticks, not even eggs, but I like cooking with alcohol burners, maybe it's better. Aluminium can melt in wood fires, and supposedly can cause dementia, so I avoid it.
Kevin, he passed away sadly. RIP Kevin, you gentle soul.
That bacon looks mighty good
Which one is sturdier build, better made the Lixada or the Keith Titanium pan?
Hey mate can I grab some details or a link to that first bigger toaks pan cheers
How do you clean this pan afterwards? Nice cooking in the woods).
Which one is better or do you prefer the Keith or the Lixada…Is the Keith thicker a little heavier than the Lixada??
I thought you were offering me that piece of bacon! Tease!
Cut resistant gloves and sleeves are a must in London. You need to fend off machete blows.
You will be charged for not accepting diversity
Are these safe to cook with???
lol the pan is closer to 30 bucks now. Boundless voyage makes a pan with a lid.
can you season a titanium pan?
Rip Kevin
I agree the Lixada is cheap. Yet I'm curious about the ceramic resin that is used for the Evernew Non-stick Titanium Frying Pan ECA443: www.amazon.com/EVERNEW-Titanium-Ns-Frypan/dp/B00T8KXHLM
in your videos you say you don't like a non-stick coating because you think they're not durable in open fire. Yet ceramic resin is heat resistant over 1000 °C. Hence I'm curious how the getting pan with the c weramuc resin of japanese quality will do in a test on open fire.
Please put this frying pan to the test too.
Man... those Mickey Mouse gloves! :)))
