No parents usually consult the child, or don't, and then decide to get good enough grades and learn material ahead, the grades that you can skip easily are six seventh and eighth, because they are almost just repeats of fifth and kids who learn fast will have no trouble.

Well, kinda. I actually went to high school with a cute tiny Asian girl who was fuckin BOSS at cello, graduated validictorian, went to I think either Yale or Stanford, and was 14. She literally skipped several grades and graduated the top of MY class in 2011. Although, no one teased her. She was very shy and quite, but really sweet and everyone adored her.

When I moved in the middle of high-school, my credits got messed up and I got to skip trig and go straight to pre cal. They said I would be fine because I was an honors student with straight A's. I didn't know pre cal is built off trig so my grade tanked Imagining skipping through that many classes is horrifying
I got out of honors math in 8 grade to only get half a year of algebra in high school that I didn't understand. half a year in that was when covid I'm in Algebra 2 and still have no idea what going on

My god. I'm an actual gifted and and that's not how it works. Being gifted is terrible. Harder to make friends, fragile self esteem, and other problems, like, in my case, social anxiety; because of that, I'm failing my grades because of gifted burnout. Not skipping them. This is the biggest bruh moment I've experienced watching Dhar Mann related content.
I do have straight A's and stuff but I wouldn't consider myself a gifted because I've never skipped grades. I knew the closest real thing to this kid. Skipped straight to 2nd grade at 5, went from 5th straight to 8th, etc. Pretty sure he had a doctorate before I was in college. But he had it rough, man. Kid could solve first order differential equations at 8 and spell any word he'd seen once, but his free writing was abysmal because it takes time and experience. Couldn't keep up in PE, had trouble playing on the playground, more socially awkward than I, even. But I write all this to say that states have graduation requirements, and most colleges have hard limit to how young they'll take you. He had to do 2 years of high school for the credits and another before the university would allow him to attend.
The dialogue and editing timing is on par with Mass Effect. Seems like the actors weren't in the same room and responding to each other. As if they read their lines completely separately.
Aside from the walking face first into a wall script writing. There are some schools that run all year long. They give the students a schedule that has them with a given amount of time off depending on which schedule they have. My daughter went to a school in California like that.
