A popular jazz standard, MY FUNNY VALENTINE has appeared on over 1300 albums and has been performed by over 600 artists. Most notably perhaps by Frank Sinatra and Chet Baker, for whom it became a signature song. In this recording I perform it at the Nairobi Boathouse in Kenya while accompanying myself on the viola, along to the lovely piano virtuosity of Naoto-San of Pia Kara Karaoke. In 2015 My Funny Valentine was inducted into the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry for the song's "cultural, artistic and/or historical significance to American society and the nation’s audio legacy".
