Bruce is a great reference, but demonstration is a demonstration. DK Yoo pulls the same tricks, but when he was tested against trained fighters. His tricks failed him.
I'm a massive Bruce Lee fan and I came here assuming it would be more of the same (as always) of him prevailing. A lovely story to put a little balance to the [almost] mythical narrative that is always put out there about Bruce, but told most respectfully and I am sure Bruce went away with alot of respect for Vic that day
Bruce was sneaky here though. He switched from going at Vic's chest to his head without telling him and without say "ready." Obviously he did this because Vic was blocking his strikes.
Fact is, Martial Arts is not for drawing attention to ones self. It is an art that benefits people mentally, physically, develops a respect for others, self control and ultimately for self defense, not to show off. That’s when it becomes a problem.
This is why actual fight experience is essential: Moore didn't try to "outspeed" Bruce, he OUTREAD his movements, something that many martial artists who only rely on conditioning and repetition drills have no way of learning. Also, respect to Mr Moore, who competed back when Karate tournaments were closer to what they should be, instead of the games of tag they are today.
This is one of the best videos I've seen of BL footage. Shows the details that we don't normally see and what really happens. True legend speaking there
I like how Vic Moore shared how he learned to read an opponent's telegraphed movements. I'm going to start watching people to see if I can predict if they'll next turn/walk left or right. Just learned something here. Thank You!
Does anyone actually SEE what is happening during the replay's? I've only been active in MA Training since 1976, but I can see what is going on here. Should I explain, or would all of you like to figure it out for yourselves? IT'S like this: During the replay of each repetition of the strike, regardless whether it was directed / intended to go to the head or the chest, FALLS impressively short of the target. It's that simple. IF you Look (Carefully), You will See. IF you Seek (Ernestly), You will Find. I've see this demo series of videos over the last 50 years and come to several conclusions. The pertinent conclusion here is that the Hype of the event affected Vic more than he expected and more than was necessary. Even with a shuffle / slide step, making up four steps (as stated in the vid) in one movement is somewhat difficult; The fact is (noted by the video evidence), none of Bruces back-fist strikes were intended to "hit" a target - it was just for show, a show of one individuals speed in "Action" mode vs. another individuals speed in the "Reaction" mode. This is an age-old question: Which is faster, Action or Reaction? The main point is that Bruce only comes to within an inch or two, twice. This is when Vic "touched" Bruces hand as it was within the space to "touch and defend." All the rest of the repetitions of Bruces back-fist strikes are concluding their motion outside of TWO (2) FEET away from Vic's head. Vic Moore was a really good champion Karate Fighter, I wonder if James Williams and he fought in the day? Bruce Lee was a natural Martial Artist (just like Vic) who decided to try to make money performing in movies. It is a good story none the less and both were very good Artists.
I caught that one too. Bruce’s strikes are pulled way before even coming close to Vics face. He also was not Four “steps “back unless they are baby steps. His so called 1-inch punch also starts over a hands length away. Push someone and they they fall back. Hit someone properly they should crumble up or collapse. Reaction is always a step behind the attack. It can’t help it because to react is to not do anything until the attack is already half way to the target. Try dropping a dollar bill straight down through someone’s open thumb and point finger, and ask them to grab the dollar before it goes through their fingers. If the bill is straight and flat they always fail to grasp it unless they anticipate the drop, which negates the experiment.
This valid articulation should be full of replies but it doesn't fit the mythology people were wired to believe. There is A LOT of context surrounding this event that happened the night before that shaped Vic's perception, the outcome, and later everyone elses. It wasn't even Vic's idea to go up there. Vic visited our school and my instructor's home many times. Both of them were USKA and my instructor was present at this event. The fly on the wall heard it all.
I saw the same thing. The 'strike' was not a strike! Showmanship is a talent. Bruce Lee had it. MMA today is about as real as it can get. To deliver a power strike requires a different muscle group and body positioning. I remember the boxing media commentary on Cassius Clay 'phantom' knockout punch of Sonny Liston. I saw the punch. Then reviewed the video in slow motion. At the time Clay(Ali) was in his prime. He was super fast. The punch caused Liston's forehead skin to ripple from the punch. The knockout occurred because Liston's brain bounced very fast within his skull, a newtonian force=mass times acceleration situation. As Ali aged, speed decreased, hence fewer knockouts. But, as we know today, boxing is not the same as 'fighting'. Your analysis is dead on.
This is the question? Was Bruce's speed punching powerful enough to knock out his opponent? I don't think so. Well obviously it would depend on who his opponent is. But in general I don't think compared to today's MMA fighters that Bruce would rank under the first 5.
Great story. There’s a lesson here, and that is there’s always someone who just might be a little faster, quicker, knowledgeable, smarter, better, etc. Stay humble.
The times I’ve seen this demonstration, it only shows the last part where Bruce Lee sneaks in the head shot. It looks like Moore is being embarrassed by Lee. Thanks for showing us the rest of it to see who was actually embarrassed.
Wow this is amazing. I don't think I can find all this cool stuff on TV. So Bruce, hands down is lightning fast, but Vic Moore grew up reading body language. Unbelievable, he was just as fast. That surely must have earned some respect from Bruce himself. At the same time it doesn't lessen my thoughts on Bruce Lee. Vic narrating the whole video makes it even better. No bias, no padding, no whatever. Just whatever happened on that day.
This give it more perspective. Respect to both martial artist. The main clipsv that's been shown for years is what folks kept using as references. Thanks for the extra angles and different footage. Overall i believe Vic was genuinely just telling his side of the expedition They need to start putting this in the movies.
Now THAT is a fantastic story. I love the background too. Sad but sometimes the horrible things in our lives give us superpowers. You get beaten by your father but come high school no opponent can scare you. I’m not rooting for evil people or saying that’s good. More that even the negative experiences in our lives can be twisted to positive effect in the right circumstances. Great story. Thank you for sharing it!!
Bruce lee was the reason i got into martial arts, He was amazing at his art form but i will never ever say he was unbeatable. That is the reality, he was human. Bruce was and still is the biggest inspiration to most martial artists around the world and i can comfortably accept he was one of the best, but i can never say he was the best. That's from a 42 year old bruce lee fanatic fan
Just for context, most of these demonstrations were done at karate tournaments. The punch was clearly short of his face, but that was very typical of moves that would have received a point in those karate tournaments. He was not trying to discredit Moore or any of the top competitors, but he was expressing contempt for karate tournaments and how far removed they were from actual combat.
No he wasnt how did you come up with that nonsense? He was marketing his movies.. Bruce didnt care about anything other than getting paid and looking good.. this is evident by the amount of set crew who always said Bruce lee was arrogant cocky, and always bullying the weakest untrained people he could find on set...
Hearing Master Vic’s story on how he learned to read and anticipate people’s movements I absolutely believe it. Staying quiet n calm n just watching n feeling. I believe Floyd Mayweather developed this anticipation as well, watching his dad, uncle n other fighters growing up. So much has not been learned in the world of fighting.
First before I make my comment, much respect GM Vic Moore, you are a true martial arts. When he backhanded towards your face, it was a mile away, lol you don't even have to block it, there is no danger. You block all his punches at chest level and prove to be quicker than Bruce.
The problem with Bruce Lee's punching demonstrations is that the other person's hands are down to their sides and are expected to bring up their hands in time to block Bruce Lee's punches which is almost impossible even if the person throwing the punches is much slower than Bruce. Plus nobody fights that way. What would have been real is that the person is already in a fighting stance and moving as in a fight and Bruce Lee trying to touch that person's chest or head before that person can block it or move out of the punch's way. This would have been refective of real fights and how fast Bruce really was.
He's coming from a meter away to a spot you know beforehand. How could a trained fighter NOT block it? Stupid, tbh. No question Bruce was fast, but elite fighters are all fast.
@@TheCjbowman he was literally told to block a strike that was coming for his stomach so he blocked low.. and Bruce swung for the head.. so yeah he knew a strike was coming but not where he was told it was coming.. Did you actually watch the video? Vic literally does block the first chest punch.. how do you explain that?
@Sinclair J. You have no idea how good Bruce Lee was you just take OTHER people's word for it. @Meat Bag 👏 you are actually referencing the Footage that was removed from publication. Everything you wrote in the comment is seen in the footage and is exactly what Moore testified since it happened.
The sad thing is I have never heard of victor Moore. This is probably because of him being an African American martial artist in the 70s he blocked Bruce lee. That’s impressive.
Wow. This revelation of one champ's experience with Bruce and with the real vid in the background is really amazing. This one's rare. I find it as a "collectible". Looking forward to see more. Godspeed.
I am glad Master Vic Moore is getting his due respect. And the truth is finally coming out. But Why did it take over 50 years. And many known people came out and ridiculed then Mr Vic. MOORE. Bruce Lee studied philosophy in college. He wrote books based on his studies and growing insights. But don't fool yourself. He was not the baddest man on earth. There is always so much to learn be humble and great and grow.
It did not take over 50 years. This was the story since the day it happened. Lee's promoters edited the video to control the narrative that Lee was better than these worldwide champions. Moore's interview is pretty clear on these events. He was interviewed for a book by Black Belt Magazine in 1993 so this info is credible not just by Moore who IT HAPPENED TO but others who were there as well.
The media in this case being those who produced and edited the Bruce Lee documentaries. Even after the footage was found of Moore and his interviews, they never interviewed him or people like him who influenced Lee and trained with him. Only his movie acting counterparts. Inosanto and Kimura interviews over the decades seemed honest and interesting but always edited to support the same narrative like you say.
I am not meaning to sound rude by this statement but people of my age were raised with 3 local television stations and 2 local newspapers. If we wanted to follow a sport we had to subscribe to a magazine and only get what information they had to print each month. It wasn't suppression, but lack of 300 television stations and unlimited access to the internet that kept this information "hidden " from us.
Very very impressive! I've never seen this footage before, but proof that Sifu Bruce Lee was a man, not perfect, not a God. Maybe the best in his time with physical feats, legendary and unbeatable to this day and changing the concept of martial arts, how it was know. Finally, add and recognize the extraordinary and also mythical, the performance of sensei Vic Moore.
I remember Bruce doing an interview and the interviewer asked him can you break 5 boards with your hands and foot Bruce replied no, I will break my hands and foot so he was a man who was upfront and real and also human 💯
I forgot I knew this story by Vic, and I was expecting that hyped up Bruce Lee kind of story, where Bruce would get slightly airborne with a bit of a raised knee to fake a kick, and then perfectly tag with a punch. Then as I watched it I thought he'd recognize what Vic was doing, and telegraph the opposite way. It's always good to get a whole bunch of perspectives, anyway, to realize the man was human too. Also when I've seen this in the past it was always the last two strikes, as others have said, and also told with the story that Bruce Lee was grabbing something out of Vic's open hand. Thank you for the video!
Amazing ! My first time hearing this from Moore's perspective. I'm 62 and we knew back then that Vic was the one man that could beat Bruce Lee in a one on one . Seeing this with him narrating exactly what's going on in the clips is hearing Mike Tyson talk about fighters faults and of how he takes advantage of them. Moore talking about eye and other movements and of HOW he learned them is LEGENDARY !!
According to Bruce Lee himself, Bruce Lee did not train Martial Arts since a little kid. He acted at a young age. And took up martial arts for a couple of years in his late teens before going to America.
Bruce Lee said that competitions were like "swimming on land". He was training for real life situations, and he said his film moves were more flashy than how he would fight for real. It just does not matter than he never fought in competitions!
"If I was a swimmer I'd swim, if I was a track runner I'd run. If I'm a fighter I fight. And you gotta fight, that's the only way. It's like learning how to swim. You can know everything about it. But you HAVE to get out there in the water. The same thing with fighting. You can punch the bag and do your katas. But you gotta get out there and you've got to fight." - Ron Marchini Professional Martial Arts Instructor, Competitor and Referee.
Bruce Lee was nowhere near the standard of the best world class fighters.Yes he had speed but that doesn’t make you a world class fighter one has to be much more. Why people think Bruce Lee was better than these world class fighters who are doing this week in week out year after year doesn’t even make logical sense.A big difference fighting world class level, some street tough who has a few good moves and is strong. Those kinds of street tough guys aren’t beating no world class proven fighter not with a few good moves and being strong.Maybe because Bruce Lee died young and unexpectedly has made him into this also mythical figure over the years.Could Bruce Lee fight probably fairly well, but could he fight consistently at world class level and actually win consistently I very much doubt that. The real fighters fight the ones who cannot do so as well teach. And Bruce Lee is definitely in that teacher category for me.
@@MartialMadness May the Most High God bless you for posting those words of wisdom! MANY people do not understand this simple way of thinking. Touché, Martial Madness...touché! Again, may the Most High God bless you!
I took Karate when I was about 11(back in ‘95, fuck, I got old!). I always remember Sensei Alan’s words, “Always look your opponent dead in the eye, the eyes are more deceiving than throwing feints or fake shots. Your opponent will tell what he’s doing through his eyes, not his fists or feetwork.” True lesson that! Thanks Alan.
Wow! I must admit, Master Victor Moore definitely got skills from what I have observed here. For anyone to block 4 out of 6 punches from Master Bruce Lee is an accomplishment. However, I feel that both men are extremely great at what they do. I give credit to both Masters. What an incredible display here... and this is coming from a diehard Bruce Lee fan. Peace. 💖💖 #LegendaryGreatness
Any honest person can see the last quick punch was way short. Bruce did this to make it look like he was unblocked. It was at the head, and it was not close enough to land, it was 12 inches away.
Silly of me to think Bruce kept a good distance away so he could strike at full speed without worrying about accidently hitting his partner. He'd have had to pull his punches had he set up closer to his partner.
@@mauricecatayan3406 did you even watch the video? Fk me youre blind.. he threw closer punches before those and vic easilly blocked them.. so bruce had to try make himself look good... Have a good look at the showboating lee does where after the strike he closes the gap with his face and looks vic in the eyes with such arrogance, the man was a phony
I never knew this happened Thanks for letting us know how it really went down.Honestly Bruce believed he was unbeatable, but you gotta give it to the guy,his Movies were great and his choreography fight scenes were one of the best’
Bruce Lee made martial arts famous all over the world, he was a human being and therefore it is logical that someone could knock him out, he said, "if you believe 10% of what you see in my movies , you believe in fairy tales" , he is the myth of the Martial Arts even if I don't think he was invincible he was an excellent athlete and a good actor of action movies, so where is the problem?
Who said there was a problem? Calm yourself guy. People loose their shit if a current skilled fighter even thinks that he could have beaten Bruce. Even if said fighter is in the heavyweight category with speed and far more power.
It's refreshing to hear of Bruce having limitations instead of being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, which is all we usually hear (aside from those that insist that he was simply an actor that "acted" like a martial artist). It's hard for many people to take someone who is only described as superhuman seriously. In fact, I believe that's partially why there's so much push back against his status. This, along with the recounting of the less-than-picture-perfect Wong Jack Man fight, help paint a more realistic and believable depiction of Bruce Lee the person.
I never had 1 pro fight. I am a fighter. In what generation did we start saying trained fighters who have fought in the streets can't fight because they were not pro. UFC guys would not go to Prison and be toughest guy in there. Wake up. They would never walk the inner cities and be the most lethal or experienced fighters out there. This is a fact. Bruce trained with all these guys cause he was average? no obviously not.
@Lord Of Faiyum if you haven't fought you are not a fighter. You probably just train concept. That's why MMA fighters destroy most Chinese martial artists and it is highly likely a trained MMA fighter of decent level would wax a prisoner
Don't let it get you down. Bruce Lee wasn't a God, he was a man. He had his share of wins and losses. I think most people look at a guy like Bruce Lee and make the mistake of assuming he can do no wrong which of course is nonsense. And make no mistake while I tell you all this I thought the same until I saw this video way back when.
@@Whitebeardtheking9 Bruce Lee is a Phony!!!! He shouldn't never been Idolize as some type of True Fighter👉🏿because he has ZERO CAREER FIGHTS!!! The White Man uses Television to "Brainwash" us! In San Diego, I think I remember Vic getting dissed by a referee, when fighting against Joe Lewis. Then Joe got verbal.. and Vic picked up a folding chair and whacked Mr. Lewis. Hahahaha. Nice memories Mr Moore. I also remember fighting a young Puerto Rican who had a bizarre style..like mine. i was going into the finals and he was between me, and Mr Norris. He [surprisingly] kicked my tail. I was stunned but it happened. His name was Louis Delgado. Nice fellow outside the ring. Not sure whatever happened to him.
This was not the first time someone block Bruce Lee's punch. In the book STRIKING DISTANCE by Charles Russo, Bruce Lee challenged anyone from the audience to block his punch. Someone from one of the Kung fu schools took up the challenge and blocked Bruce Lee's punch. Since this demonstration was going awry, Bruce Lee said if anyone wanted to know more about Wing Chun, contact his school. This led to the famous Bruce Lee, Wong Jack Man fight of 1965.
Bruce was arrogant and rightly so. He died at 32 and everyone knows his name. He’s inspired millions and millions. Great video this was a story I have not heard. Mad respect.
Important to note that Vic Moore says repeatedly that Bruce's strikes were indeed "lightning fast". A champion calling a strike lightning fast repeatedly, and without any sarcasm, implies his technique and physicality were superb. The flaw was his eye movements etc. just before the strike that telegraphed his intention. That's an instinct you simply can't improve without a whole lot of actual fighting experience, which Bruce Lee never had on the level of champions because he wasn't a competitor. And we can never know what talent Bruce Lee had for such things because that's not the path he chose. There's no doubt that his technique and physicality were well worth the praise, and his theory was revolutionary. But yeah, he was no competitor.
That's really the thing a lot of people either don't know, or understand, but once experienced, you either are ok with getting punched in the face by a puncher as skilled as you are, or your not. (full contact) most people will never get to know. Those who get to know, have to decide if they want that part of it. Why the hell would you? And the others fight, because why the hell wouldn't you want to? It's a beautiful dance of violence in control, and nothing more, until the opposition wants to truly hurt you before you can do the same to him.
Clearly Vic Moore surprised Bruce Lee with his ability to block his punches. I'd wager that was the first time it had ever happened. The thing to consider between the first 4 where Vic was able to block, and the last 2, where he fanned, is that he knew when and where the first 4 punches were going. Vic had the ability to sit back and prepare himself for a hand strike to the chest. Vic obviously shoed great speed and represented himself very well by blocking them. How often does your opponent not just telegraph, but outright tell you what to expect? For the last 2, Vic was in a real world scenario, he wasn't warned when or where, it was up to him to react and in that situation it wasn't fast enough.
Vic Moore never denied missing Bruce's last 2 swings. He was dismissed as the first 4 attempts never happened. The thing to consider is Moore did block the first few like he testified all those years ago. The last 2 were not real world because he was standing there with his hands down. Also Lee was feet away from target so there was nothing to block. People still try to discredit Moore but that ship has passed. All those stories about Lee and this never was brought up. They conveniently left it out and edited the footage and removed the audio of the entire event.
It is very obvious, even with the old filming footage, that Master Vic had his block up and on those first three strikes to the chest. Then... it is so noticeable that the flicker strikes to Master Vic’s head were not even two feet away from target! Not even close! Thank you sir Vic for not embarrassing the mighty movie star Bruce Lee in front of his early throngs of fans. Kaizen!
//: I think Master Vic should be listen to, the black martial artist wasn't no joke. They just lacked opportunity in the 1960s especially back then if your black.
Thank you for this video. A person who 'was there' giving first hand accounts and in a way, putting some reality into the myth. Bruce Lee was a man, not a god. Notice he used the words 'body language' and 'telegraph'. People who ACTUALLY fought develop reflexes and if they study enough of their fights and films of their opponents, they will pick certain 'tendencies' where the opponent will 'telegraph' his moves. Vic Moore, never having studied nor met Bruce Lee, already had a skill of sensing body movements and blocked Bruce Lee's punches. Now, had they reversed role, how many of Vic Moore's punches would Bruce Lee have blocked? My money is that Bruce Lee would not have blocked as many punches because Bruce Lee did not fight consistently to train his reflexes for REAL punches coming in with bad intentions (that was why he was so upset at himself for not finishing up Wong Jack Man because when it came to a real fight, none of his esoteric moves were of much use and he ended up chasing the guy around like a kid on the playground). Vic Moore showed a lot of respect for the 'movie actor' (his term) because if he had been an a-hole, he could have punched Bruce first and thrown a counter punch to see how good Bruce really is. But as you saw at the end, Vic Moore just laughed AT Bruce Lee for Bruce's 'cheating' (agreement was to try and hit the chest and Bruce sneak attacked him on the face). Vic Moore walked off the stage laughing, giving the message "Dude, you can have your exhibition, but I blocked your best shots and here you are trying to cheat...hahahaha'.
It's telling that this movie star has zero real fights in recorded history. There are countless stories and people saying he was good and fast. Look at the fighting world in any discipline. Fighters have wins, losses, and draws. There's not even a single video of this man's wins! Not one! I respect everyone that got their hands dirty and fought. I respect Bruce Lee the actor and his persuasive narrative that he was superhuman. I believe that this is more in line with what happened. Vic Moore laughed at this dude who couldn't get a hit in on the chest so he sneaks in a head shot. Great video thanks for showing it.
I’m a Lee fan, but an exhibition doesn’t cut it. Ok, true that tournament fighting isn’t quite the real thing, but if Lee was that good he could have made the adjustment and actually fought the best. Because he never did, we’ll never know how good he really was.
I have to admit I came on here because I was in the mood to have a go at some of Bruce Lee's fanatical fans. But I must admit I was taken by surprise at the genuine comments on this video. Both of these guys were top of their game in their own area's of the Art, but nobody is supreme in every area of anything in life. That's just the way it is.
Because MJW put himself as the winner. Had he worded it differently, it would be a different outcome. Having said that, yes everyone is beatable, depending on the form of that day. Every sportsman definitely taste losing before. Did MJ and Tiger Woods never lose a single match? Officially, Floyd Mayweather never lose a single pro fight, but don't tell me he never been punched to the face before turning pro.
Great stuff! Thank you Vic Moore. It's not that Bruce Lee wasn't a great martial artist, it's that Vic Moore WAS! Lot's of peopel took Bruce Lee up on his offer. One example, Joe Lewis's account of sparring with Bruce.
Bruce Lee is one of my heroes. He is the reason I got into martial arts. Fanboys get disproportionately offended whenever anyone says anything even remotely opposed to the notion that Bruce Lee is anything other than the Achilles of his generation. But at some point, you have to wipe the doe from your eyes and grow up. Just like Miyamoto Musashi only fought on a Sengoku battlefield ONCE in his life, on the side that lost, and chose all his duels carefully, employing trickery and manipulation in the most well known one, Bruce was a showman, who had significant skill that was rarely properly tested due to careful curation. He was more a scholar than a warrior.
Ultra instinct aka the automatic nervous system, a lot of people overthink situations that require a pure reaction to external stimuli. In many cases this is caused by fear. good show m8

I saw the same thing. The 'strike' was not a strike! Showmanship is a talent. Bruce Lee had it. MMA today is about as real as it can get.
True that uncle..humble is the way
Vic Moore was a true legend. As a black man- It makes me proud to learn of him.
The times I’ve seen this demonstration, it only shows the last part where Bruce Lee sneaks in the head shot. It looks like Moore is being embarrassed by Lee. Thanks for showing us the rest of it to see who was actually embarrassed.
This shit is deep!!! I'd love to see more stories like this. So much commentary on human nature. Watching the people on the bus
Bruce Lee was actually learning from everyone. Years later he was faster.
Agreed with you. But master Moore read body movements that's extraordinary. Preemptive. Wish i could learn this move.
Vic could have been better later too...the point is that Vic wasn't lieing and that he was quick enough to block Brice Lee...that was plain as day
"I used to train under Bruce Lee"... "He was on the second floor and I was on the first!" 😂
AKA dragonflyjonez
Me too in the slums of shaolin
Im done 😂🤣😂😂
Lol cute
Wit your obedient servant KENJIIIIII!!!
Bruce Lee said that there were other people who were faster than him. He said that he is more deceptive with his moves.
This give it more perspective. Respect to both martial artist. The main clipsv that's been shown for years is what folks kept using as references. Thanks for the extra angles and different footage. Overall i believe Vic was genuinely just telling his side of the expedition
They need to start putting this in the movies.
I think this video made clear that even tho Bruce is a very strong fighter, Vic Moore shouldn’t be underestimated
I love how racism only made Vic more capable. Love it.
First before I make my comment, much respect GM Vic Moore, you are a true martial arts.
When he backhanded towards your face, it was a mile away, lol you don't even have to block it, there is no danger. You block all his punches at chest level and prove to be quicker than Bruce.
Thanks Bruce; for everything you did for everything inspiring me to do everything. ! thanks l.quay.!
Exactly. You can see @ 2:48 and 4:31 Vic Moore starts to get in a fighting stance and Bruce instructs him to stand back and not to move.
@@meatbag2405 You have no idea what Vic was told, you’re just taking his word for it
@Sinclair J.
Godspeed.
Vic Moore was a true martial artist. I loved watching him in the karate circuits.
Everything you need is right in front of you. I'm thankful I've found this video and now comes the research into the person
Bruce had the power of the media on his side, and they control speech, and what you are allowed to see.
Wow!!!!! Thanks for sharing. I didn't even know who Vic Moore was before I watched this video.
Master Vic Moore was a true professional and a proved badass. End of Story!
Doesn't matter who's gonna win...but they both deserve respect+
I remember Bruce doing an interview and the interviewer asked him can you break 5 boards with your hands and foot Bruce replied no, I will break my hands and foot so he was a man who was upfront and real and also human 💯
They respect eachother and thats true art
Respect to Vic, seems like a smart guy and a real legend !
True.
Lesson of this story: Nothing beats real life experience.
Ppl called him an actor even tho he was training since he was a little kid? Cmon
But you gotta get out there and you've got to fight."
- Ron Marchini
Professional Martial Arts Instructor, Competitor and Referee.
I train in my garage hitting the bag it doesn’t mean I’m the greatest fighter ever. Where are all these people he supposedly beat up?

Thanks Alan.
guy sensei would respectfully disagree
Kamagowa?
Tyson said he always look at the upper body shoulder to shoulder. The muscles on the upper body always contract right before the strike.
I believe it,you can see Bruce was embarrassed.but that back hand wasn’t no way near the guys face.
You right about it. Vic is quick n fast as seen on the inset.
Bruce was a little embarrassed after that first block. Phenomenal. Thank you for sharing.
Agreed
Any honest person can see the last quick punch was way short. Bruce did this to make it look like he was unblocked. It was at the head, and it was not close enough to land, it was 12 inches away.
I saw that too, thought it was just my perception.
The video footage & interview was (still is) a great find. Thx for sharing, I'll continue to treasure this one.
Wow! Such great footage and narration by a real athlete. Great story.
Amazing and excellent footage. So happy to see this little bit of history. By he was fast
WoW great video! Thank you so much. Much respect Grandmaster Vic Moore, you are the Man!!
Wow ive never heard this side of story.
Always intrigued by Bruce Lee he was truly "The Man" ❤️ Martial Arts grew up on this
So true
Bruce Lee was good but so are a LOT of other martial artist
Exactly🙏🏾
It's refreshing to hear of Bruce having limitations instead of being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, which is all we usually hear (aside from those that insist that he was simply an actor that "acted" like a martial artist). It's hard for many people to take someone who is only described as superhuman seriously. In fact, I believe that's partially why there's so much push back against his status.
This, along with the recounting of the less-than-picture-perfect Wong Jack Man fight, help paint a more realistic and believable depiction of Bruce Lee the person.
Now, the bit where Vic played the tell game while on the bus was pretty nice, he done to not only past time but, to keep himself busy.
Even if Bruce was not a fighter, his spirit contributed to making each of us fighters there was his strength.😇
When I learned this it made me sad, but I’m still glad Bruce lee popularized martial arts in the US.

Bruce Lee was not the only legend of his time.
Vic Moore should be recognized for his gift.
thank you for this, this is the most complete i has ever seen in all these year.

Ah, ça fait plaisir d'avoir la vraie version.
Huh! Learn something new everyday! Great original content post.
This story is dope! Vic Moore definitely deserves his flowers 💐
Bruce was arrogant and rightly so. He died at 32 and everyone knows his name. He’s inspired millions and millions. Great video this was a story I have not heard. Mad respect.
That was so cool. I remember when all those guys were competing. Then Chuck Norris also becomes a famous actor. Good film clip, show more of them.
Thanks for breaking this down.
Vic was actually faster. You have to remember, the one throwing a punch has the advantage because the block Has reaction time. Science.
Kaizen!
I have looking for this video for years.
Well done.
//: I think Master Vic should be listen to, the black martial artist wasn't no joke. They just lacked opportunity in the 1960s especially back then if your black.
No one is unbeatable.
Tbh Vic himself is also a monster
Dead on!!!
Gotta love our supreme grandmaster Vic Moore man's a legend. Where's all my shotokan karate practitioners at?.
He was trying to grab Lee’s hand as he punched ! 😝🤣
I’m a Lee fan, but an exhibition doesn’t cut it. Ok, true that tournament fighting isn’t quite the real thing, but if Lee was that good he could have made the adjustment and actually fought the best. Because he never did, we’ll never know how good he really was.
Great footage, both fast!!..
You don't hear too many stories of someone out doing Bruce Lee that's interesting.
if you watch the footage he did not catch
I do not do comments, But I have to say this is very humble words from a Master! RIP you great men.
Vic Moore is a bad ass too 😍 Still love ❤ Bruce Lee forever!!!
Michael Jai White tried to tell us but many got offended. Bruce was good but not unbeatable. Same can be said about Chuck Norris as well.
