I always loved the continuity with the Elm Street storylines. Everything from returning characters from previous films to the exploring of Freddy's "son of 100 maniacs" background story with his mother, Amanda Krueger, that was touched upon in parts 3, 5 and even 6.
Here is what Alice inherited. She inherited Debbie's fight skills and toughness, , Rick's Martial Arts , Sheila's smarts, Kristen's acrobats and pull in power. :)

I love how Alice goes full Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Freddy. It’s also great how she didn’t lose her nerve when Freddy was laughing at her punches because of his high endurance in the dream world

Nancy was the first opponent to crack the secret lock on Freddy's gimmick (thanks to Johnny Depp's character telling her to turn her back in him in her dreams). Kristen was an evolved opponent who had the juice to tackle Freddy but none of the skills. Alice was the worthy replacement, given that she day dreamt chronically. You got to see what Kristen was supposed to do in 3 through Alice.

I remember me and some friends watching this movie when it first came out, and the part where Freddy just maniacally laughs at Alice punching and kicking him in the face had us all doubled over crying with laughter.
Freddy is clearly showing off his invulnerability and quick regeneration here. This was one very good scene when he actually duels his opponent without dirty tricks or quick kills.
Oh yeah, this was the one where this girl somehow absorbed all the talents of her friends as Freddy killed them, and she tried to stand up to Freddie and be badass instead of just running and screaming.
Actually, I wouldn't call them talents per se, more like their dream "powers" and the more powers she gathered, the less timid she displayed throughout the movie and if only Kristen would've just died and not given her powers to Alice, Freddy would TRULY be ineffective
One thing I love about this ending is that the editing is so good that you can't tell when it's Lisa Wilcox or her stint doubles......now the numbchuck scene is a different story lol

This kind of hit hard considering he killed the Elm Street kids, of the vigilante parents that burned him. He just wanted to come back to kill any in Springwood after Kristen.
Alice being the only survivor that is not connected to Elm Street or its history made the rivalry with Freddy more personal in Part 5. He was pissed she got away the first time.

At the unfortunate expense of her brother’s and her friends’ lives, Alice became an absolute juggernaut who came at Freddy with 100% determination and zero fear. Something he probably had never encountered before
Alice had the advantage because she was a master daydreamer. So when Kristen got killed she passed her ability to pull people in her dreams to Alice and that also gave her power to inherit the skills of everybody else that got killed after Kristen.

I really couldn’t believe when I heard most people didn’t like this movie. Sure it wasn’t The Dream Warriors and, it definitely wasn’t as good as it. Yes, they did kill off all the most likable characters, but I loved this movie and thought it was a good continuation of Dream Warriors
In the script it describes her as, "She was no longer just a high school girl, She wasn't a dream warrior, she was THE DREAM MASTER" So I think she's beyond a dream warrior, she's the Master
All credit can't go to Alice alone because she was using the dream powers of all of her friends that Freddy killed and she lost all that power when she set their souls free from him. Also Freddy's power belonged to him but Alice only got her friend's powers after he killed them so technically it wasn't a fair fight because she was cheating.
No one really dies in this movie because they all become apart of Alice. Which is what I thought made this movie brilliant. To bad they dont make that many good horror movies Like they use to.

for me, the trinity of the "nightmare" films is Nancy, Kristen & Alice. I love all three for different reasons. & Alice was the only one to face down Freddy TWICE & live to tell about it. Her son would be well into adult hood by now. I wish we could see Nancy & Freddy team up to face Freddy once last time.
If Alice had stayed in springwood after part 5 she could have stopped Freddy from coming back again and wiping out all the kids and teens that were left in the town, but because she left, there was no one to stand up to him and to prevent the next attacks
Love the part where Freddy swipes his hands over the hole Alice put in him with Sheila's bug zapper. It's Freddy in "God" mode and not playing fair 🤣😂 He wasn't playing fair so Alice stepped up and totally became The Dream Master and usurped his power. Iconic and a great ending. To top it all off all the souls from the first to the fourth film (plus the ones before the original) became free.
This is a very cool final showdown with her and Freddy Although her being Alice is a bit on the nose But I get the parallels now and this goes back to the Aristotle teaching from earlier
