30 Departures and Landings at St. Maarten (SXM) - Maho Beach ACTION

- St. Maarten is an amazing place for planespotters. Two months ago I visited Maho Beach with my father to make a few interesting videos of arriving and departing planes at this famous place. I finally managed to go through the footage and to upload a compilation from this beautiful island. When I was there the Boeing 747 was still flying regulary to SXM. In the meantime KLM stopped using the 747 on the SXM route and replaced it with a smaller Airbus A330.

Very skilled 747 pilots. The engines are so powerful on it, that they nor the plane pitch up so they have to lower them while keeping sufficient power to climb above the mountains.

The Shorts 360 is so ugly!
Thought 727's no longer fling out of US locations, another UA-cam poster indicated KLM no longer flying 747 into St. Maarten, instead will be flying 777.. ???
Howard1939 Howard1939 727s fly in and out of the U.S. quite a lot. KLM replaced the B747s with A330s on their AMS to SXM route.
My friend cargo airline Amerijet International which is based in Miami are still flying those 727 strong in the Caribbean...i have a ton of video on my channel if your interested.....Klm has switched to the A330 on the St. Maarten route
And now they all have cancer...

You see those things poking out the sides? They called "Wings" they generate lift which allows the plane to glide across the air, even at low speeds.
