This camera man did a nice job. He or she caught the best views of the landing/take off showing very good details of the landing gears and wings. Many of those even the pilots were filmed. I liked your job and thanks for posting.

Pienso que esta es una de las experiencias más espectaculares, asombrosas y emocionantes que puede tener una persona aficionado a la aviación. Aunque es un poco arriesgado y peligroso el observar estos aterrizajes tan cerca cuando van llegando, ya que solo hay unos cuantos metros de distancia por encima de la gente, pero eso no es impedimento para que las personas puedan experimentar los despegues y sobretodo los aterrizajes que son la experiencia más osada que pueden los turistas que arriban a esta famosa isla, solo por vivir este acontecimiento extraordinario que desafía a la muerte y que ocurre en este paradisiaco lugar caribeño. Gracias.
So insane! Forget the paradise...I'm going for the airport! The pilot of ALM Flight 980 tried several times to catch that runway and could not get it right. He crashed into the water when the plane ran out of fuel. Weather didnt help. You've got to be a hell of a pilot to land that one! Air Force-trained at least.
Good Point.... that whole area appears to be a "tourist attraction"! 👀 I was in St. Maarten a few years ago on a cruise, but I wasnt even aware of this at the time... If I ever go back, I would definitely like to experience this "live" for myself!!! 🛫

Мне больше всего нравится купаться в реке Медведица - это Тверская область , река чистейшая - на ней несколько правительственных санаториев )) . Море тоже неплохо , но купание в пресной воде гораздо приятней .
I remember hanging out at this bar/restaurant on the beach and watching the planes arrive directly overhead. I think the place used to be called Caravanserai. Looks like it's changed its name.

it is nice. When you're having a miserable day and you think the world is against you, you go to an airport and a pilot waves, he's doing that for no reason but for being friendly :o)
I will be a happy person if I can visit this beautiful Caribbean place one day. But I feel sorry for people's absolute faith in their luck, seeking to stay at the end of the runway just as large jet planes perform landing operations on such a short runway and so rich in gusts of wind. They ignore that no matter what aircraft or how good the crew is, a landing still is a controlled crash. That's against basic safety rules. Everything goes right until the moment it goes wrong.

I was on that beach in 2005 and got blasted by that KLM 747. It took me three washings to get the sand out of my hair. BTW, That bar at the end of the beach is the Sunset Bar. They have an interesting policy. Free drinks for topless women. (Woohoo).
není to takový problém se tam dostat, jen je velký problém s cenami letenek, pokud nejsou v nějaké extra-akci.. jinak ostrov je pěkný a klidný, a hlavně není přelidněný turisty...
