She was a great singer that I had the opportunity to see once probably about 1980 at the Vapors Night Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I was up there for the horse races at Oak Lawn Park and she was performing early in her career I didn't really know much about her at that time but she had made a popular commercial for Coca Cola so we went to the show and I was blown away.

I specially like songs by female singers as their voices can really make a person immersed in music as well as catapult the relevant person to another dreamy, dreamy and heavenly world.

I totally agree with MyJustfied. The Country Hall Of Fame is a disappointment with regards to not having all the legends of Country music in there...Dottie is truley a legend!!!! She needs her own museum.

I have always had an attraction to auburn hair. I fell in love with Dottie as a kid. Years later when Shelly came on the scene....Enough said there. I agrree, finding photos or videos of this lady are really tough. I have always found it interesting that Dottie made music with Lefty and Shelly made music with David.

Had to get my Dottie fix. She was the most honest singer that I've ever known.

It is a really big disgrace that the country music hall of fame have'nt inducted the first woman to win a grammy in the hall of fame. She's been dead for 19 years. i seen the criteria and dottie meets all the requirments, and a lot of singers do not. Im really gettin annoyed at them.

She should have received it much earlier, but you have your wish. She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on March 27, 2018.

Dottie West did win a Grammy in 1965. She was also nominated 2 more times - 1980 & 1982 for best duo.

I love this, Dottie was a very talented lady. However, I must admit, I
do like Jean Shepard's version much better

Another person who should be in the hall of fame is the Great , and late Freddy Fender . He was a great singer .who never got the credit due him . there will never be another like him .RIP my good friend.

Mmm, I know what you mean, it's those high notes. Strange, because she gives few bad performances & sings a similar song, Funny, familiar, forgotten feelings, very well.
