it won't be on my official playlist as the game is very new. folks can purchase it on their own and add it to their own LaunchBox/BigBox builds through the Steam import feature though
Hey doesn’t some of the emulators record game play? Can that be used for videos and put into big box? I’m in the middle of building my upright 2 player arcade. I have bigbox life Loveland have it working . Just need to weed through some of the mame games that work with retroarch and not the mame I’m using. I’m glad I found this vidoe to help with the theme stuff and attract mode. My cabinet is built. Just need to do the art work on it. 32” Roku tv in the cabinet. I’m doing the long wait of downloading all the images and video for the games that are imported. It takes a long time.
You can actually use any .mp4 video for the big box game videos. So you can use any screen recorder to capture game play, or use UA-cam for find some sample game play, then you can download it to add. EmuMovies has a lot of game videos and themes so i do recommend them if you are importing a lot of games.
As soon as I apply a new theme I get a bunch of error messages. Any fixes you know of? It's happening on all themes other than default, and I've tried uninstall and reinstalling
I am asking around. I would like to know how to control big box. I have the license and try to use big box, but it will not move other than enter, left or right arrows. and esc. I cannot control big box anymore than that with keyboard or controller. I am not sure what I did wrong. Is there a section to setup controllers with big box. I am reading you can set up controllers with launchbox. IDK I do need help.
Once you are in bigbox, press ESC to get into the settings menu. You can navigate to Options and then Controller Mapping and then you can setup your controller buttons as needed
You might be able to restore a backup of your LaunchBox bigbox build. Go to the Backups folder and find a 7z file of a startup or shutdown file from a time when it did work. Then one the archive and copy the contents into the LaunchBox/Data folder. Short tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/1jVcEJtOJtY/v-deo.html
I haven't messed around too deeply with a multicade build in years, so there might be some easier ways to sort your games after platform playlists. If I have time to check it out, I'll reply back
The individual game snaps are downloaded either from the LaunchBox Database or thru EmuMovies which I have a paid account for. LB can sync and download them. I made custom playlist videos based off the video snaps in a program called Camtasia for my playlist intros

@@KongsRUs that's the problem. I can't move even in that menu.
All I can do in the esc menu is press esc to go back, press enter to select back. And left and right arrow keys work I'm the main menu. That's it.

Is there a way to have genres as sub folders for platforms in bigbox?

@@KongsRUs Thanks. I played around more and found that BigBox easily allows it for just arcades, through platform categories, which works well enough
