Teknoparrot games is 1 of only 2 platforms I still have LaunchBox call Rocketlauncher to start. The simple reason is that some of these games take very long to start up and since LaunchBox's startup screens time out at 20 seconds, you can drop to a view of the desktop before the game starts. RL has active window listening and can avoid these blips. The worse offender is Mario Kart that takes forever to start, but I might eliminate it anyways as it's not that great a game. :)

I would like to solve this issue myself. I hate looking at all the startup process and agree with you 100% on mario kart. Do you have a video on how to accomplished this? I am in the middle of doing my lightgun build and consistently have to mess with the screen timeout. It's annoying!!

Thank you for the tutorial mate. TeknoParrot is one of the best emulators and I highly recommend everyone to try it. For those who love lightgun games or racing games it’s perfect. I really love playing Silent Hill Arcade with the SindenGun.
Liked the feel of this too but that invisible enemies problem still exists on my setup :(
@@macdox69 Jan 23, 2023 - Silent Hill finally has invisible enemies fixed, it took like hundred+ hours to fix this issue but it should now be solved with all CPUs. (Teknogods Patreon)

great tutorial, could you tell me how you have your Raw Thrills folder set up? I can never get more tha one or two of the fast and furious games to run
Raw Thrills is a git.
First, you need to make sure the folder names for the games are as short as possible. These are generally setup into shorthand. Fast and Furious folder should be named FnF to keep it short. I know this may seem strange but if the folder names are too long they stop working.
Second, game folder location. For me they work 3 folders deep from the root of the drive. Other users report they only work from the root of the drive, and others reporting these only work from the root of the C drive. It would seem it's different for different people.
I’m having an issue with OutRun 2 and not being able to get it to open the game without opening the ui to then re-select the game. It works fine with house of the dead and there’s no difference between the two rom set ups. Any suggestions?
Great video! I have one issue. I added everything as you said and it opens fine in LaunchBox but itt wont open automatically in BigBox. I have to click "Open with" and then it opens in BB. Any thought? thanks!
How do you get the .ml files from?
Where do we get those XML files? Do they come with the roms? I haven't noticed this. I'm away from home at the moment.
They come with the actual emulator mate

Hi. I´m recently into TP. Will a mini PC work for it? These are the specs of the one I´m planing to get:
SER5, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H (7 nm, 8C/16T) up to 4.4 GHz, 32 GB DDR4
For most games this will be fine, others not so much.
If you want to run everything I'd say a dedicated graphics card is needed. Games like HOTD Scarlet Dawn are pretty demanding. I estimate you'll be able to play the good majority or the library with this tho.

@warpedpolygon would you be willing to share your teknoparrot controller profiles by any chance ? I feel overwhelmed with the amount of games I need to set up, lol
There is an issue with doing that. They are updated very frequently which would outdate anything that i put out pretty fast.
The only thing I can do i make control layout images that you can then use as a guide to set your own. However, a lot of inputs are not even labelled in the input config of tp, causing more issues with pre configuration.

Hope it´s not a stupid question, but i can´t get it to launch without asking me about admin rights. And if i set admin rights to teknoparrotui.exe, then i have to answer to UAC. Trying to set it up so i could use only controller.. any help? thankz
Launch with admin rights should fix the issue

Any way to get the annoying "do you want to allow this software from an unknown publisher to make changes to Windows?" to stop popping up every time I launch a TP game in LB? As far as I can tell there is no straightforward way to allow individual apps, it's either all or nothing (which is pretty stupid if true IMO)
That's a windows setting you need to change. I can't remember what is is off the top of my head. It'll turn that prompt off for everything however.
Is there a way to remove the teknoparrot loading screens where it says have fun so it just loads it in the background to the game directly?
Yes, there's a hide command option in LB

You need to set the exe path it in TP itself. That was not covered in this video, only setup with LB was covered here. You may need to watch a TP specific video TBH.

I called you a mug on the last video, and I will call you a mug now. You say about folder locations, and 3 is good, but 4 breaks it and not to put in LB games directory as that will be 4. If you have the roms in just Tech folder, rather than SegaLin etc etc, you will be at three folder depths. Your way it is four, so think about that lol.
