Thanks for your support, it's amazing. I would like to ask you a question, will you compare the Prizm Snow Hi Pink, and the new Prizm Snow Iced Iridium? have you had a chance to try them? in conditions of poor visibility/white out? which one is better? Thanks again Mauro
Good question! The Prizm Clear performs very well in low light/cloudy overcast conditions. The main advantage being that the rider is able to pick up more texture on the snow path than without it. However, if someone is light sensitive, they might require a lower vlt like the Hi pink, persimmon, or iced iridium lenses.
I currently have the Torch Iridium lens which has been great for really sunny days, but I don't know what I should get for Low-vis days and night days. I know the Hi Pink is good for cloudy, fog and low-vis days, but could I get away with using the Hi Pink for night days as well or am I stuck with having to get both the Hi Pink and Clear lens separately. Also, after 4 years have passed with the making of this video, do you guys still prefer the Persimmon over the Hi Pink (although I know you said they're both quite similar). Thanks in advance!
Hey Patrick! If you want to be prepared for all conditions then it's good to consider getting both lens options. That said you may be able to get away with the Hi-Pink at night though it really depends on how well lit the runs are when the sun drops. Overall, the Prizm clear is likely your best bet for the majority of the conditions you describe if you were to settle on one lens, including night conditions. The Persimmon vs. the pink is really a matter of personal preference. Some opticians here prefer the rose/vermillion base tint of the Hi Pink while others opt for the warm outlook of the persimmon. Hope this helps! 🏂✌
i have the saphirre blue line miners l and clear but looking for something for those overcast days at bear mtn. looking at the hi pink, the rose, especially since the rose is 50% off, how much of a difference is the saphirre to the rose? dont want too much overlap between lenses. sapphire for sunny days, clear for night boarding, and whats best for overcast, days? is the hi pink worth $75 more than the rose?
Hey Rich! I'd suggest the Hi Pink due it's Visible Light Transmission of 46%. The Sapphire Iridium has a VLT of 13% while the clear lens is 80-100%, placing the Hi Pink relatively in the middle of the pack which would give you 3 solid options to accommodate most lighting conditions on the mountain. The Rose is a fantastic lens as well with a VLT of 26% which puts it a bit closer to the Sapphire, but if you're someone who is particularly sensitive to bright light then you may benefit more from the Rose. Hope this helps!
Hey Rich, Oakley used to include a yellow lens in the past however the Hi Pink and Persimmon have replaced their low light lens options as the latter 2 have a tendency to produce better contrast and distinction for snow.
Hi pink makes job when the sun going down before the light starting.. The time when less than 50 vlt is't enough... But this is for an hourly situation only... Other time any other lens will fine..
Hi guys, looking to buy either a Persimmin or Hi Pink but I'm hesitating. Even if aesthetically I prefer the pink, I want googles for when it's snowing heavy, or fog, so that it can save my day. What would you recommend ? Thanks :)
Hey there! Oakley recently replaced their Hi-Pink lens with a new Prizm Iced Iridium option. This lens has a vlt (visible light transmission) of 38% and a 2 out of 4 on the protection index, making it a great option for lower-light conditions with some overcast and heavy snow. It's aesthetically similar to Hi Pink as well. However, if you're looking for the most amount of light able to pass through the lens as possible, then check out the new Prizm Clear lens with a vlt of 65% and a level 1 on the protection index. Both will yield incredible contrast and detail. Depending on the weather & lighting conditions you frequently ride in, one may perform better than the other. Which Oakleys sunglasses should I wear while shooting trap... Which in case has orange clay and i dont wanna see green background much.... Can u suggest me a oakley model and frame color for such?
Hi there! Our opticians are PRIZM experts and will have recommendations for your specific needs! You can contact them by phone or Livechat here: www.sportrx.com/contact
I still dont know which one to get. What do you guys recommend to me if I want a lens for low visibility and want the colors and details of the mountain to pop up more?
Hey Matias! If we're talking specifically for Oakley, you can't go wrong with the Hi Pink or Persimmon (obviously). Both will make details on the mountain 'pop' & the Hi Pink Iridium has a higher rate of light transmission meaning it allows more light pass through the lens compared to the Persimmon. If you're talking about proper white out conditions, then the Hi Pink might be your best bet. Secondarily, you may want to consider the Prizm clear as well!
You might need to do a bit of digging online but check out some alternative outdoor retailers like backcountry.com or evo.com. Worst case scenario, Ebay 🤘
Hi guys! In your opinion, if you compare the Oakley Prizm Persimmon or Hi Pink masks with the Poc Fovea Clarity vlt. 49% mask, where will the contrast and clarity of the picture be better in flat light and partly cloudy?
That is tough to say, I don't think any of those three lenses would let you down but I can tell you that HI Pink is almost like wearing a clear lens and Persimmon gives everything a bit more of that contrast pop.
i have a line miner in torch iridium so i would like either the hi pink or persimmon. i watched the video but still 50/50 on which to get. i ski in colorado and want to get prepared for the conditions. any suggestions?
Hi Bryan! We are especially stoked on PRIZM Persimmon since it is new to the lineup this year. Functionally speaking the lenses perform about the same so we recommend choosing the aesthetic you enjoy the best.

@@sportrxeyewear Thank you! Idk why it's not saying that on their website. Was looking at a used persimmon pair but I don't want to risk that they're fake and think I'll just go with a HI pink replacement lens. Thanks for all your work gals/guys!:)
I tried both of them today and ended up buying the persimmon. Outstanding lens in the total whiteout we had today.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

How do these compare to the prizm clear? Would you only use prizm clear on complete white outs or are the ok in low light/cloudy?
