I have only one Lens ... torch iridium. Very good for sunny days. I have the flight deck XL ... Chromopop is better for me. I have a smith Io/X ... Amazing 😊😊
I use hi pink for all the foggy white out heavy snow days we have on mount hood, but the contrast still isn’t that strong compared to the other lenses. Let’s in a good amount of light though. Wish the contest was boosted
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It is true, HI Pink is almost a clear lens at the end of the day. Hmmm it sounds like maybe Persimmon is what you are after if you want some more color and contrast.
@@sportrxeyewear i have sapphires coming in the mail in a few days for sunnier days. maybe those will give me an idea of boosted contrast if i try them on a snow day
@@PolishAlexx they are pretty good in sunny and partly cloudy days. Also decent when clouds cover the sun for a bit. Way too dark if it’s snowing and a foggy white out, and also if you’re riding in the shade with tons of trees or on a north facing mountain. ( rode brundage Idaho on a sunny day on the side facing away from the sun and I couldn’t see crap. Way too dark and sketched me out.
Hey, i just bought a pair of oakley airbrake L goggles, unfortunatly the store had lost the clear lense, i do a lot of night riding and was wondering where i could buy a clear lense?
Hey man, i have the same setup as you but, i do not have clear lense, i bought them on facebook. What kind of clear lense do you use and do you know where i could buy it?
what about the clear prizm? looking for a night goggle lense, or low light. use to go with yellow but clear is sounding alot better these days, but what would clear prizm and is it even worth the extra $20
i have the prizm saphirre blue and regular clear for night boarding, looking for something for white out conditions, looking at hi pink and prism rose, would the hi pink be the best since there wont be as much cross over as the prism rose? and is the hi pink worth double the price? found the rose for half price.
Hey Rich! We're big fans of both the Rose and Hi Pink lenses but for whiteout days you may benefit more from the higher VLT in the Hi Pink (46%). Click on the link below to learn more! ua-cam.com/video/OeoUjq997uw/v-deo.html
I ride in Whistler where its overcast 9/10 days. I rode my canopy persimmon lens for long time and they did the job. I am looking at the Trackers right now, What other lens do you recommend for really low light?
Quick question. I have a new pair of FallLine goggles, they kept fogging up from the first time I wore them. After taking a closer look, I notice the fogging is happening in-between the two lenses. Any tips to solve that problem? Could it be a factory defect? Snow Sapphire Iridium is my very favorite Prizm lens by the way. Thank you in advance!
Hmmm that could be a defective goggle. The lens is a dual pane lens which is designed to better regulate internal and external temps but there shouldn't be air getting in between there. Please let us know how else we can help you troubleshoot!
Hello, bright sunny days .. will i be okay with the torch or saphire? Perhaps the saphire should be a little better? Do i really need balck iridium or is saphire or torch good enough?
Hi there! Great question - PRIZM Sapphire or Torch work well in bright conditions. They are great all condition lenses in our opinion. Thanks for reaching out!
It's a great new edition to Oakley's Prizm Snow Lenses lineup! A rose base tint combined with the Sage Iridium provides a distinct contrast tone for a variety of light conditions on the mountain. Plus, you can get it in the OAKLEY / SPORTRX EXCLUSIVE FLIGHT DECK M & LINE MINER L SNOW GOGGLES! 👇💪🏂 www.sportrx.com/oakley-sportrx-exclusive-line-miner-l-snow-goggle.html www.sportrx.com/oakley-sportrx-exclusive-flight-deck-m-snow-goggle.html
Great question! PRIZM Sapphire has a grey base and is available in polarized or non polarized and works well for sunny conditions. PRIZM Snow Sapphire has a rose base and there is no polarized version of it available since a polarized lens is less desirable on the slopes because you actually want to pick up on the glare coming off Icey parts of the run. PRIZM Snow Sapphire is a very versatile lens and will get you by in most conditions outside of low light. The visible light transmission on both is very similar around 12-13%. I sure hope this helps! Is persimmon good for night riding? Currently have torch lens but want to get another lens for night riding but not sure about getting clear lens. Want to be able to use it for other snowy days as well.
Hi there! Yes, I think PRIZM Persimmon or PRIZM HI Pink would work well for night riding. PRIZM HI Pink is even closer to a completely clear lens in my opinion. PRIZM Persimmon gives you more of that orange saturation of color. I would probably sway towards HI Pink if you want to use it for both night riding and low light riding.
@@sportrxeyewear I ended up going with the PRIZM Persimmon because I was able to get them on a good deal. As long as they're good for night riding then i'll be happy. Planning on testing them out this coming weekend. Thank you for the information!
@@michaelmiller363 I’ve used it a couple times at night and yes you can see well IF it’s lit up good. Whenever I came across areas where the lighting wasn’t the best, then it was a bit harder to see. I have some prism sapphire lenses. they're great for everything except night time riding when I swap them out for clear lenses
