really nice explanation about everything through the entire process, i did not lack any intel. usually, i don't comment, but this had me done ;) nice tutorial!
Thanks dude, as I mentioned in the video this isn't something that should be done outside or in the wind. I'm just merely demonstrating how to do it. The environment you choose is your choice
I just got the same wrap TODAY from amazon, and looking to wrap my black mirrors also. Glad I subscribed PERFECT TIMING for this to come up for me, THANKS!
Hi ck wraps. I had ago doing my wife Fiat 500 wing mirrors. I made a right cock up. I tried to taking things slowly but the vinyl wasn't big enough. After watching your video I'm going to have another go. Many thx mate. Cheers from the UK
I don't know about the highly trained professional, but for the average dIY'er - these are some helpful hints. Something to go by... Thanks for sharing!
Kudro Rico The mirrors hadn't been done on this car yet so it wasn't a re-wrap. This eclipse belongs to a friend of mine who I sponsored with a full wrap. As for brand, I prefer to stay away from 3m. I find it's hard to work with and very over priced. Their carbon fiber also isn't as nice as Vvivid Vinyl, I only use carbon fiber from Vvivid Vinyl. I would recommend using Avery Dennison if you're a beginner. Avery is very easy to use and also more cost effective, I consider Avery to be the Rolls Royce of vinyl brands.
You make it look so easy... how do I avoid creases and bunching on curved surfaces? Your videos are great, you explain things the same way I would when showing a layman a new skill.
Heat gun and relief cuts at angles worked for me. I just did bottom of a spoiler that i had to work 3 different angles on a surface..wasnt easy. Lots of heat and cutting to work it in
I think this was a good video, this was pretty handy for people who wants to try wrapping on their own, I enjoyed it, I'll try this during the summer rather than pay some $160 to do it.
Brooo you have showed me and told me things i so far have not seen on most other wrap videos. The stretch n heat before you wrap i have a way more u derstanding of it now. Awesome video. Perfect wrap and outside. Im pumped cant wait to do this better than i did.
Hi, Vinyl Solutions, you did so great on this video the carbon fiber your video is really helpful and we all appreciate your effort to teach us. thanks a lot and keep doing great videos like this.
Hello your video is perfekt but can i know why my vinyl in 1 Week on the sides it is detached i musst to do more with the phone? or what Thank you very much :)
I tired doing my mirror and it went pretty well but I had a lot of wrinkles around half the mirror, for a first attempt it wasn't bad but I wasn't happy with it and pulled it off, I think I need to prestretch like you showed and it would be perfect
To wrap my spoiler & my side View mirrors can you suggest where to purchase the squeegee and what size I should get, Do you suggest 3-D, 4d, 7d ? ,, What is the best rap to buy for outside the car? Any hints what brands are the best quality? Thank you for the video I’m sure it will help when I do this project. Steve
Hi Chris I’m getting ready to do a carbon fiber wrap on my motorcycle gas tank. It doesn’t have any hard edges. Pretty much a teardrop shape. Should I pre stretch like you did on this mirror. By the way this will be my first attempt at wrapping. It’s Avery SW900
a) re-wrap if it is like a small piece b) puncture the bubble with a needle, apply heat an press until the bubble and the puncture are gone c) lift the piece and re-apply These are individual options, not a general instructive
I wasted about 7 pieces of vinyl and rage quit before looking up this video! so helpfull, i was using too small of a piece each time and not pre heating. going to give it a go now. 🤞
I like the pre-heating and stretching but I think I would have fixed the free end to a plastic rod or tube first to give an even stretch and remove the risk of it flapping back on its self in the wind.
He made it look so easy. It looked great to me. For those who had an issue with his style of wrapping. What did he do wrong? I read someone said over stretched the vinyl?
Thank you very much. I almost everyday watching your video. Can I ask you one thing? Grand cherokee side mirror, Can I do this? Grand cherokee site mirror is so difficult to me T T
I did a part of my interior and the edges and round parts are coming up after 1 day, was the result because i used a hairdryer vs a heat gun, or i need the 9m adhesive promoter stuff?
Thank for sharing bro. I been think on wrapping mines CF too but I though it would be to difficult. Now I have an idea how to. Can you do the front bumper. I want to do the middle part instead of painting it like everyone else. Thanks again.
Beautiful job. Time and patience are important I see. I don’t have either lol. I know I’m going to mess this up. I’ve been procrastinating for a month now. Have all the tools and gloves. Just not enough confidence
Hi Christian oh, great videos, I have a question about how you would wrap a mirror if it did not have a removable cap. Would you wrap around all the edges that go into the mirror or would you use knifeless tape and stop of going around the edge, thanks
carbon is hard to work with because of the pattern, you did an alright job. Pretty sure you can do it in one piece, but who cares if it's 3 pieces. The car isnt being judged and winning 1 piece vinyl awards.
How do you get the wrap to form so well? I tried doing my mirrors, but the vinyl just didn't like going around the curves. I'll get the face of the mirror perfect, then all hell breaks loose at the edges. It either wouldn't stick, or it would wrinkle horribly no matter how much heat I use. Do I have to allow a short cooling period to allow the vinyl to harden before continuing?

Top video mate!!!!!!
is it better to wrap on the car or take the part of the mirror that we want to wrap out?
Better if you stuck it behind the mirror, heated it up and then let it fall over the wing mirror then cut it?
Bro you sound like matt Damon. Love ur video g.
Wrap master!!
So you're going to stretch a patterned vinyl with heat and then shrink vinyl with heat. What part of that makes sense?
Can you wrap the textured black plastic or does it have to be painted for it to stick?
Brad Gourley you can, but it will probably pull out! Try to give it some treatment first

Cody Miller what vinyl are you using? If it's Chinese, that'll be the problem
Surely stretching the carbon look wrap will distort the carbon effect?
