hi, I just returned from a 3500 KM raid in Morocco solo with the AJP PR7. apart from a small fall where I twisted the crash bar. all went well. for the headlights, I installed an ADVENTURE MEN CAVE LED kit excellent lighting for 280€. it now has 8500 km the valve clearance was checked 0.15/0.16 on the exhaust and 0.13/0.13 on the intake. (still within the tolerance which is 0.15 to 0.20 for the exhaust and 0.10 to 0.15 for the admission) in France, no problem with the wiring and key switch. enjoy your bike. See you soon
Yeah sounds like a nice trip, a very nice trip. Morocco is on my bucket list. Glad to hear the PR7 went so well the key is the only problem I have had. Still loving mine. Safe Travels, Regards Steve
Great video. Has the ignition been faulty since? My 2022 model has shown similar symptoms. After a ride, went to turn on the ignition and nothing? Turned the key a few times and was able to get it started to get home. Will have a look at the barrel. Was it easy to remove and pull apart? Anything that wasn't shown on the video I need to be aware of. Thanks
@@Chris_Z. Yeah it's just the electrical fitting on the bottom of the ignition barrel. It did it too me again so I just replaced it. Unfortunately U have to buy the whole key set, fuel cap and seat lock to quiet expensive. Next time I would try and find barrel manufacturer and see if they will sell the wiring fitting of the bottom. It's a domed plastic fitting that you would have seen in the vid. Pretty easy to get too really. Glad someone could get some good advice from my problem Regards Steve
@@dirtbikeadv Hi. Found the issue with mine after taking the Ignition switch apart. One of the wires [red] had broken off at the solder joint. I have re-soldered this and checked the others also. Gave them a good clean as well. Hopefully this fixes the issue.
Dont u love key ignitions not at least your able to problem solve it in the middle of bum fuck no where, lots of ppl would be looking a trailer right about then lol.that your son's gasgas mate looks either 350 or a 250?
Hi Mr Bigals, yeah that's one of the reasons I like the AJP it's very simple. The Gas Gas is my sons and yes it a 350. He absolutely loves it and I know why they are a great displacement that's very versitile. Almost the power of a 450 and almost the agility of a 250. When I had my 350 XCF we did a Finke trip and it was freakin awesome in the open stuff. Actually did the private property ride out from Arkaroola on the way through. Hope all is well for you mate :)
@@dirtbikeadv yer I am on my 4th 350 now,i wish in all my years of racing husqvarnas that I actually tried a 350 I think there the unicorn bike for most ppl , have a good one best regards Allen.

Interested in what you take with you on the bike to trace these issues.
