Very impressed that the factory is so small and everything is made or assembled by hand. No robots there! And great to see the owner so proud of his products and so open to show us everything. Thanks for the video.

Thank you Pavlin for taking us along the AJP Factory. The owner's passion to build quality motorbikes is showing. Even the workers seem to be enjoying their work. Never knew AJP motorbikes were built so well. In fact it effortlessly exceeds the quality standards of other manufacturers. I feel privileged to be the beneficiary of the owner's enthusiasm to show the factory. Cheers and have a good one! Also I wish AJP success!

Many thanks for showing us around. For me this motorchannel is the best. You keep it all simple. No bombastic and hollow rumble.
And that is what i like. You do not buy every few months a new bike and everytime telling that it is the best bike ever. I hate that.

Hi Pavel, thanks for that video. Now retired but I used to work in manufacturing industries, being a graduated engineer. So that I knew all the processes that AJP uses. Hand made is fair for very small quantities, and quality relies on worker skills AND mood, monday morning and friday afternoon are dangerous for performance. A welding robot is an expensive investment, and correctly set up by a good welder, will repeat high quality over large series, without exhaustion unlike a man. About PR7, it appealed me for its design and innovations, so that I followed the UA-cam vids about it (LongRideZone), then tested it. I found it very tall with pegs very high, found the suspensions harsh (may be the setup of testing bike), engine was smooth and torquey at low revs. I finally prefered and bought a 701E, for more modern electronics, better ergonomics ( for my body 1,78m), more dealers, accessories. No problem of stability riding at 130km/h , if taller windscreen. I rode about 17.000km on TET France and Greece, in 18months with it. No one issue.

AJP motorcycles are made with a lot of common sense, like to use a Samsung tablets on dashboard or how is the position and access of the air filter or how is the position of the fuel tank and thus the barycentre of the weights and of the motorcycle are low which makes driving easy to handle and greater control of the motorcycle. I like them very much. Thanks for the video and good luck to this company and to all the best to the Portuguese people.

Well, I have been interested in these for years. At various times they have been available in limited quantities and sizes in USA. Not sure about now. However, I think it's pretty near the time to park our Yamaha Tenere's and get us a 7 series and head RTW. You go your way. I go mine and we meet somewhere and discuss how good it is having such a wonderful motorcycle to enjoy in out latter days of riding. The quality craftsmanship was evident in the vid. One man, one frame. With that few of employees and the number of sales they will be around another 35 yrs. Good management is apparent. Like Toyota's parts supply, "Just In Time" parts supply keeps the expense low and gives flexibility to the market need. They produce 500k autos nearby in my home state of Kentucky. Saw the electric bike sitting there. They are preparing for the future as well. Question, would it be a better machine with a Tenere engine? Vibration control of the single, bearable over distance? I sure like what I see, definitely for my second motorcycle. Maybe stored in Europe. Very interesting visit Pavlin. Like you a highlight of motorcycling.

A KTM 690 starts to shake? That my friend was due to the tires you had on it. I rode a 690 from Lake Tahoe to the Canadian border at 90 mph the entire way one day and it never moved at all. I have done tens of thousands of miles on a 690 on road and off road and never once has it ever squirmed around. In contrast I test rode a PR7 and at 70 mph on the motorway it was all over the place. Stability on the road with dual sports is about tires.

Is your old tenere 660 better off road than your new tenere 700?

Very nice and good quality bikes that once again not available for us here in Canada. Maybe in the future. Last year is the first time we are able to T7 before that only the 1200 and klr 650.

PR7 is one sweet bike! Even in USA for about $12,000. Very nice!

I'm very interested in AJP. Who builds the engines for AJP?
