Bought my very first bass here last year in November 11 2023, I always visit this store like its my home. My dad also bought his first guitar at this location.
@@synth4ever i was setting up this rig that some dude brought in so i had my back to the cacophony that is GUITAR center and was noodling on it, i didnt know but he was behind me and he said, "glad ta hear youre a fan", i turned around and they were standing there! He said, do you hear that awful noise? Thats what hell is going to sound like, and proceeded to talk to me for 10 mins. RIP MAESTRO.
I just went to guitar center yesterday and I just bought a used PRS in very good shape plays good and I just can’t stop playing with it I’m saving up and a couple of months to go back to guitars are to get a new guitar
Hi Synth and thank you so much for posting this. You covered that whole store, good quality video too. I have gone in there many times. Very addictive to see that many wonderful musical instruments. The variety is amazing. The Hollywood store as many of the others have been beautifully remodeled. Excellent selection of products. If I can say something and not get hate on here, PLEASE? No doubt, guitar stores have a VERY difficult industry to make money in. God bless them for existing. Something has happened though in the last year or two with Guitar Center. They are becoming like the Sam Ash sales staff with this awful sales pressure and condescending demeanor. I know it is tough work to be standing all day and the volume in there... very draining I know. This was not one or two people who had a bad attitude. It has been many of the sales staff and seems to be growing. Other people have commented on this. I have lived in LA all 49 years of my life and love the music scene, especially rock and metal. People talk especially when everyone is struggling economically. Between about... just approximate, between 2010 to 2020, GC was amazing, truly great with interpersonal communication and just being polite and very approachable for customers to interact with. They were always happy to retrieve one of the guitars from one of the higher up locations. As God as my witness, I am not trying to hate or be hurtful to those employees. This negative vibe though has to stop though because people are just going to go home and buy stuff online. If the in-store experience is going to be this chronically unwelcoming, and the employees are acting like they are doing the customers a favor. Some of the staff are just unrelenting with coming up to you over and over again with the sale pressure. They have to make money; I get that and want them to get their money. People are on tight budgets though and don't have time to deal with this when it is easier to go online.
The store is amazing that's where I got my first recorder from. And I saw ukulele once that's what started making me want to ukulele. Then for Christmas I finally got one when I was three years old. Then I put it back for six years but now I'm nine years old and I play it crazy
Guitar Center, the most ubiquitous music store chain. I get a lot of stuff at the Guitar Center in my neck of the woods. What can I say? GUITAR CENTER ROCKS!!! But if I ever find myself in L.A. I gotta see that Sunset Blvd Location. Like those handprints at the entry. I wonder if Larry Carlton's handprints are there. I'd also like to know if those of Allan Holdsworth, Lee Ritenour, and especially my all favorite Daryl Stuermer are there.
Yes indeed, it was great to visit. You can spend an hour at the front just looking at all the famous bands and handprints... its an awesome store, well worth checking out if you pass through LA.
Hah yea... this is definitely the biggest music store I've been to! There was so much gear it was overwhelming... especially the guitars! They don't call it "Guitar Center" for nothin'! :)
When i walked in to Guitar Center i took a place in History as a Piano Player in England. As i walked in it was though England Customs as i was searched. The country England is based upon me and the King as i am one in the all.
Not worth going now. Gotta wait in line and the salespeople are slow, chit chatting about unnecessary things with customers already in the store. Taking over 30 minutes to sell something to someone who acts like they're a rock star buying a few things.
My problem with Guitar Centers are that they have nothing but low end introductory kiddie gear in stock. They have no concept of the difference between trained salesman and clerks. I have been playing for over 40 years professionally. Do you really think a 19 year old pimple faced clerk is going to be able to talk guitars with me ? At this point in my career GC IS nothing more than an emergency stop for strings, picks, and the occasional glass side. At Guitar Center the guitars come out of the box and go on the wall without so much as a care for playability, intonation, or interest in flaws. Every Guitar Center I've ever been to has an acoustic guitar room or as I like to call it a desert island. While they do have the occasional humidifier machine, every acoustic guitar I've ever played at any Guitar Center I've been to, has been as dry as the 4 month old Christmas tree waiting to catch fire. The day of the skilled musical instrument salesman is over, and Guitar Center does not care. I really think they should change their name to Kiddie Gear Center ......self serve !
The handles on the glass doors are there for a reason , Why did you keep touching the glass doors ? Now they have to pay someone to clean them Which in return drives the prices up on the merchandise Why did you do that ? Was there some kid in front of you with sticky candy fingers touched it first And you want to see what flavor of candy he was eating ? Bottom line don't touch the glass doors and the prices of guitars will come down.
say hello to all the people that know what music i sing and what instruments i play does any one know what my Hollywood history is and what movies and tv shows i have been in since i was little and what shows my mother and father produced in Hollywood and what musical bands i have been in and anything about what my movie tv history is and singing and dancing and directing of films and television

Awesome tour, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Last time I was there the drums were on the 1st floor and they had a really cool drum room up there with tons of cymbals on the wall to check out.
I went to that Guitar Center a few years ago and was surprised at how good the customer service was.
NOT LOL
Famous people go there a lot so they can’t have any losers working there
Worked there as a guitar tech, met Maestro Van halen 2 times there.
Super cool! That must've been amazing.

Hello how can I get the piano Yamaha psr 700?
Buy online or used
@@synth4ever to buy it
I’ve been to this one As well
That left-handed guitar section is impressive. Oh wait, there isn't one!!😒
It always sounds so heavy metal in here like you need to walk like a heavy metal star and talk guitar gears in order to fit in.
WOW, the size of this music store is Gi-Normas ! Where the faithful come to worship, and prostrate themselves amongst their Gods !

Watching this is like spinning on the Tea Cup ride at the fair . 🥴
Great
i miss working there ....
*Starts playing smoke on the water.*
I parted company with guitar center long ago.. the video only confirmed my decision.
Hello mui top in Brasil yes perfect

My brother worked at guitar center in Concord CA about 20 years ago. He hated working there. Said it was one of the worst places he'd ever worked.
Sounds like Dan Aykroyd.
Well he is Canadian and so am I, so that probably explains it eh? ;)
i literaly live in LA and ive never been here
Hope it's still open these days!
Should of played Smoke on the Water
This is the kind of store you bring a 1st-grade class to after handing out a ton of Pixi sticks...Have at it children...lol
Heh... or a museum! :)

1 star. Too much noise around the store
lol.. well it's a public music store, what do you expect?
Not worth going now. Gotta wait in line and the salespeople are slow, chit chatting about unnecessary things with customers already in the store. Taking over 30 minutes to sell something to someone who acts like they're a rock star buying a few things.
horrible footage/ blinking all the time when moving, no focus at all
Yea, it's a cell phone walk through since I happened to be passing through LA, not a professional camera setup.
You pan too fast! Made me sick and also could not make out any of the guitars as your filming is terrible!
Well it's a cell phone and this is a synth channel. Not easy to tell when your filming on a tiny screen.
Ayh Man from Ethiopia this stuff makes me seem lovely, but i am an "E!" This "E!" stands while i sit. Ethiopia is a country where i sit.
