"great for big workouts and big smiles" is going down in the Kofuzi record book of quotes about shoes. Weight and cost aside, it's nice that Puma is still trying to make something unique and crazy unlike many companies who are making everything ultra safe and good for everyone
This was a shoe where I didn't notice the weight all that much during my uptempo sessions. I'd likely feel it over a marathon but I'd love to run a 10k in it.
Across all brands, I generally recommend people search for bargains in prior year’s flagship models, rather than selecting current year’s budget options
I like how you introduced these shhhhhoes? 😁I think the "B" stands for bonkers. I'm still rocking the FR1. By some miracle, I was able to find one on closeout. Sadly, I haven't experienced similar luck with the FR2. Still itching to try that sweet, sweet aliphatic TPU. Such a fast and fun shoe. I wish I could wear it every day, but alas I discipline myself to leave it in its cubbie waiting for special ocassions only. I go with the DNE1 for tempo work instead.
Honestly, this design is actually similar to the Nike TEMPO NEXT% but Puma just grossly exaggerated all aspects of it. The TEMPO NEXT% actually had the most energy return of any Nike shoe they have ever made for public use. The problem with these Puma shoes is that they are just ridiculously heavy. Well over 12 ounces for that size shoe is just terrible. Fine, if you are running down a mountain but just awful for any uphill efforts at all. Honestly, this shoe is just a gimmick. Nobody is going to run a PR in these shoes on any normal course for any significant distance. Sometimes breaking the rules doesn't mean it is automatically faster.
When I saw the intro, I said to myself “that shoe just lands heavy”. Of course this was my only observation in the first 15 seconds of the video but then you said it was over 12 ounces.?? Wow.
As someone who just got back into running after a 10 year absence I cannot wear these new shoes with all the extra cushion. I bought one and ran for 10 mins and had to go back to a cheap li Ning i wear to the gym. This one just looks crazy
Hurt my foot 3 years ago and I have 10 pairs of high end running shoes you recommended collecting dust. I still want to buy these! Great review as always.
yeah, I don't know how you would have gotten unsubscribed. if I were to completely guess, it's part of the UA-cam algorithm trying to purge accounts that you frequently do not interact with. but even that guess doesn't make all that much sense. but my point is that most of the stuff I get shown on my UA-cam feed is from channels I'm not subscribed to, which I suppose is a bit of a tangent to what you were describing
"old enough to remember Rollerblades"? Really Kofuzi? Rollerblading is very much alive in 2024. The Berlin Marathon Inline Skating 2024 will take place on September 28. It is a huge sold out event, and only one of many inline skating competitions world wide. It might not be your thing, but Marathon Skating is very interesting in its own way with equipment technology and racing strategies etc... Anyway, great review of the Puma Fast RB
@@yogatriathlete Hm maybe its a cultural thing. I looked into it and over here rollerblades are synonymous with roller skates, whereas rollerblade seems to be a deonym for inline skates in the states?
@@maloran98 A blade is a thin edge (like a knife for example). The name Rollerblade was invented because all the wheels where placed in one line (inline), like a blade. In the 1980's, Rollerblade was the only company making inline skates, so everybody called it Rollerblading. Today there are a lot of manufactures making inline skates so it is more correct to call it inline skating rather than rollerblading, but they are still the same thing. However, Rollerblading is definitely not roller skating, as one has nothing to do with the other. Roller skates have 2 wheels side by side in front and another 2 side by side in back. Some people call them quad-skates, but they are absolutely not rollerblades. If the term is used synonymously with roller skates where you live, then it is a mistake. People that are really into the sport wouldn't mix the 2 terms. (I don't live in the states by the way)
I remember how wild and crazy the Prime X was when it first came out. Now it looks so normal when you put it next to this Puma 😄
"making some real funky sshhhh...oes...." - hilarious. Great review, Ko!
I respect the heck outta what Puma is doing. Is it for everyone? No. Do they care? No.

In a year where everything got a wide footprint and more stability, this is a refreshing dose of excitement
I feel like won the running shoe lottery because I got a pair in my size. Your review is enough for me to “save” them for a while so thank you.
2024 has definitely been the year of so many shoes looking like they came from the future. What a time! Loved this review.
Thanks!
I think the 2 half plate is TPU plate if i'm not mistaken
1 carbon plate, 2 tpu plates :) Good video as usual!
I have been waiting for this one since you teased them! 🎉
Thank you for the effort in making all these videos possible
Thanks for watching!
Just bought an OG pair of PrimeX, those shoes and the Pro2 were definitely the twitchy psycho brothers of the Strung and the Pro3 🧨
Been waiting on this one👀👀
Honestly, it’s a great shoe for practicing purposes. Swapping shoes, I think could help muscle fiber. 😵💫 My opinion. I’ll buy them in January.
Puma deviate n elite 3s my fave racer thus far
Definitely one of the top 5 kofuzi reviews!
Thanks!
Looks like a shoe from the future!
Thank you Mike.

It’s not heavy until it’s heavy. Then it’s real heavy
Thanks doobydoodap of shoes.
Im curious how their lineup compares with their budget lines
Across all brands, I generally recommend people search for bargains in prior year’s flagship models, rather than selecting current year’s budget options
soon to see in the Kentucky Derby
Hey man, the kids still have roller-blades...don't they?
They’re still around I think
lookit that hoof shoe that's craaazy

Hello Kofuzi, will you soon give a review on the Puma Magmax? 😊
Relatively soon, as I mentioned in this video
@@kofuzi thanks! Always rely on you for my new shoes..
Did you test these shoes in Switzerland and the US?!
Yes
Were the B rolls filmed in Europe (Germany)?
New Vienna, IA
Crystal Lake, IL
Zurich, Switzerland
@@kofuzi that Renault car parked on the street was a sign.
Three plates?! it's like Puma put a whole Big Mac into the forefoot area
So crazy how easy u can see where u are running - the Environment is so different between switzerland and the us
How do you lace this RB shoes?
you do not, as there are no laces
@@kofuzi so , not adjustable ?

Would it be good for trails?
seems like a perfect trail shoe for sure 😅

It’s a big boi
It’s good for flat feet I have flat feet 5km run

what are we heel strikers gonna do😂
These ones remind me of Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars Episode I 😅

Yeah these were probably not the shoe to select for someone who is just coming back to running or wanting something to use at the gym
10:29 because them Dassler brother still at arms race lollll, let see if Adidas made another Rule Breaker at 60mm (I'm joking)
Hey bro
Asics meta speed sky Paris or puma deviate nitro elite 3 ??
i love you bro

I would totally miss the Stryd mount! :D
No thanks, Puma 😆
Puma Mangmax review is coming relatively soon? Come on Ko, you have been really behind with reviews lately. Magmax 2 is coming out soon... 😄
I was subbed to you, and randomly wondered why I wasn't getting any new vids. UA-cam is shadow banning you because I was randomly unsubbed??
I think subscriber status and whether UA-cam shows you a video are very loosely related these days

you need to replace the forever run with the magmax nitro SO much better
