I did every update wether it's windows and armory gate but I'm stuck on 339 even with myasus. Myasus downloads the thing, asks for a restart, no bios update step. Starts directly as if there was no update. Any ideas, anyone ?
Is the performance gained through updating the BIOS notiecable? I just got my Ally and it's on BIOS 319. I'm scared to update it because I know there's a chance it'll get bricked. I also "downgraded" to Tiny10, which likely improves performance compared to bloated 11 Home more than the BIOS update would.
If you are hell-bent on using a "Tiny" version of Windows you should probably make it yourself using tiny11builder, at least that tool is open source, doesn't mean it can't be malicious, but it's for sure a better bet than the versions you download online, since the tiny11builder uses an official windows image and "debloats" it.
It's less about performance gain, and more about what bug fixes come with the bios update, such as the (claimed) fix for the sd card reader. Also, the only way your system would get bricked is if you power down the system while it is updating its bios.
Thanks 🙏🏾 the new updated version of myASUS had me confused
I Don’t see the latest tab for the bios update? Where else can I find it, without having to reboot?.
Try downloading it from the ROG Ally driver tools at rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_bios/

You can download the BIOS from the ASUS website and install from there: rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_bios/

Is there a way to do this without a ez flash? These things are crazy expensive and I am yet to find a tutorial without an ez flash
Will this help my windows not updating I have a update that it won’t complete
What is the purpose of a bios update does it affect gameplay ??
Not really, it’s more for the operating systems stability and performance
the current version of myasus doesn't that option smh.
Me neither
just got the X, and for some reason its NOT showing any BIOS update after everything else is fully up to date :(
Well then it’s up to date genius lol
