There is definitely no such thing as to many marine biology/ ocean/ nature books!!! 😂 I found your channel today while I was looking for marine biology/ ocean book recommendations. Your channel is full of all the things that I'm interested in and I can't wait to watch more of your videos. 🤩💙
I recently graduated with a degree in marine bio, and ive just been on a hunt for books to read i will be taking note of all of these and add them to my reading list!!
So many books 😍 they look so pretty on the bookshelves! Luckily I've got several of those books too, but you've definitely given me a few more to add to my basket!
Ooo I would recommend the Essential Guide To Rockpooling (Julie Hatcher & Steve Trewhella) that's a great book and more based on UK species. Otherwise, one for the photographers the book Underwater Photography (Alex Mustard) is a great book!
Hi! I may be a little late for this but first of all I lovee the ocean so much 💙💙 surprisingly tho I still can't swim yet 😅 but my boyfriend is going to try and help me this summer and hopefully I can get it :) also, where did you get that shark figurine?? I'm a big shark lover and now I need it 😂💙🦈
Hi Elizabeth! I have a quick question regarding the book: The Marine world by Frances Dipper. I really want to get it, since it has everything i could need as a guide (pictures, graphs, descriptions...). I was wondering, are the pages more paper-like or plastic-y? Do you think i could highlight anything? i couldn't tell from the video. Usually with plastic like pages, gel pens and highlighters rub off. What do you think? It'd be a great help!
Haha thanks for the recommendation! Adding that to the list to buy for sure! Glad to have found another marine biology book enthusiast! What’s your favourite?
@@MarineMumbles The Blowfish's Oceanopedia, Great British marine animals and Collins British coastal wildlife, which are all fantastic! I also have The Marine World sitting in my basket on Amazon haha
@@MarineMumbles I actually do! Outlaw Ocean by Ian Urbina, Dolphins, whales and porpoises by Anneleisa Berta (my Bible) , Marine Mammal Biology by A. Rus Hoezel, Voices in The Ocean, Handbook of Marine Fauna of North West Europe (I use it the most because of the university)
@@MarineMumbles This is an old joke from Seinfeld. However, I do spend a lot of time at a local river and plan to start documenting the various fish, birds, plants and other wildlife. Maybe some of those books will be good for reference. If you have any ideas, I'd be happy to know. Thanks so much for your kind reply and have a great day!
been wanting to be a marine biologist for a long time now, been thinking about getting books about them. This really helped!
Thank you!! I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have!
I've been pretending to be a marine biologist for years now. It sure beats pretending to be an architect.
