At the time of this video I have worked for the USPS for 5 years, I have my own route a stable schedule. Unless you are ready for the job to completely devour all of your free time, family, relationships and hobbies for potentially more than a year, do not sign up for the CCA position. I’ve worked a lot of jobs and have served in the military, and by comparison the USPS was the single most abusive and disrespectful work environment that I have ever been a part of. I have worked 14 hour shifts for weeks on end with my chain of command refusing to give me a day off. They expect completely unrealistic standards out of carriers who do not know the routes. They refuse to provide explanation, answer questions, or address problems with either equipment or organization. And as service, they are blatantly inept, and woefully corrupt. Avoid this job unless you are willing to throw a year or two of your life into the toilet.
Thank you for commenting and sharing your experience. Thank you for your service. As a single parent, this is how much I am willing to sacrifice to gain back financial stability. I'm not sure how I am going to find balance or if I can physically work those long hours even though I am a hard worker. I can't speak on the toxic environment since I am fairly new to USPS. Why did you stay for five years?
@@nivendia Sorry it took a long time to respond. The facility I worked in for 2 years absolutely sucked, and after making regular I transferred to a better place. I stayed because for the most part I like the job and working outside, but I still severely dislike the organization itself
I accepted the offer but don’t understand why I have to go 2 hrs away to do orientation and I’m confused after the one day of orientation how long do you do the training I need this job but it’s so hard with having a child and finding someone to watch and to even get there which is 2 hrs from where I stay I’m told I do orientation then I have to come back Wednesday and then they’ll give me a time for a week training at the Academy and then I can come back to my hometown and work where I put in the application for
Please hold on and dont give up. Yes , the orientation can be at a different location. You're are not the only one who has to travel . The orientation/ academy is for everyone from all different locations. And when you get hired, they can ask you to travel a 50-mile radius from your permanent station per your contract. I am a single parent of 3, and if you don't have a support system, it is going to be hard. Have a plan in place for your child. You will be working long inconsistent hours. But if I can do it you can do it. You are at the very beginning. Don't get frustrated yet. Your training will be scheduled for you. It's a process. Just go through it. The money you can make for you and your baby is the reason why you're doing this! Good luck.
I applied for MC and CCA and became eligible with a score of 87%, but I as of today I have not received any word yet I applied 7-31-24. I was wondering if I will receive a notification because it is now 8-8-24.
You can get a notification at any time, but the process can take up to six months. I'm now learning that it is very difficult to get in with USPS. Keep applying for the same positions at different locations.
So you receive the fingerprint email after your background check comes back good? When do I even do the background check? In confused. I’m in the fingerprint stage I just don’t remember the background check part.
Im a vet as well from Houston TX. I have my commercial driver's license and Im considering applying for a driver position, driving the larger box trucks from post office to post office. Do you have any knowledge on this position that you can share?? I appreciate ya..
what does selection list mean please? i have been a rca for one week now but my goal was to be mvo which is a cdl job i applied 7/16/24 i really want the cdl job because thats all i know . i did the interview, per hire, hire list, and now the process says selection list.
When you received an email for orientation does it said be prepared to attend orientation the week of April 8 or they put specific date on April 8. Mine said the week of September 23 but I don’t know if it’s gonna be on September 23
Hey I applied I was sent a email to do my background check but I didn't hear anything else...are they looking to hire me ? (how long do you think it will take)? Or is that just apart of the regular accplication
I resigned in January 30th 2024 as a CCA. I re-applied for a Clerk position I scored a 99%. So far, I applied for five locations and all of my applications said ’Pre-Hire List’ 1st applied 06/07/2024 2nd applied 07/20/2024 3rd applied 07/26/2024 4th applied 07/26/2024 5th applied 08/14/2024 I’ve checked my email also junk mail every day but haven’t get anything 😢 Is it a hiring freeze going on for a Clerk?
I have only been working at my current job for 2 1/2 years with no employment for years before that. I heard that during the hiring process you have to give your previous 5 years work experience. Will this disqualify me ?
No, I don't think that will disqualify you from getting the job. My resume wasn't that great because I was an entrepreneur for 5 years before coming back to the workforce. It's also an entry-level position. 🤞 good luck!
@nivendiasullivan Hi I'm in Texas and i'm on the pre hire list 6 times with jobs ranging from January up until this current month. Can you please give me the HR number in Carolina?
What do u have to score on test to get hired I scored a 90 but have heard nothing .. they did send me a link for back ground check I have only been waiting 3 weeks tho I’m in Clearwater FL!

@@RussianJackal understood. Thanks for replying. 😃
Completely agree
I put in 3 applications 3-4 days ago and scored high on the test but haven’t heard anything yet just says my application submitted process 😬
Always check your email . It should move up to a pre-hired list. Keep an eye on it. With 3 applications, 1 will come through. Good luck!
At what point can you put your 2 week notice at the old job?
I have suggested after passing the driving test or once you get on schedule with the station where you will be working. Hope this helps.
Keep another income as long as you can especially if you’ll need to purchase a right hand drive vehicle.
Do you have a selective service card and how do you get one

Can you please share what does it mean for the application status to be on "hire list" after an interview?
Just means it's in process.

I'm not sure if the process is exactly the same for everyone. But if you're doing fingerprints, it means you got the job offer, right ?
Thank you
You're welcome

You will receive an email with the exact date to report for orientation.

Yes, if you got a job offer email, they are looking to hire you. Does it say prehire list on your candidate profile?

What does offer fase ext to pre hire select status mean?
That you have been selected and started the hiring process.
Heyyyy girl we was in orientation academy together
Hii 😄😄😄
When would be the right time to give your 2 weeks notice if you’re currently employed and going through the hiring process?
Hi, this is a very good question. I would suggest doing so after you pass the driving test.
Got it. Thank you Nivendia 👍

Hi. How was the interview ? What she asked you?
The interview she asked about my availability? Do I have support ? What did I do before the post office? Very nice lady.
@@nivendiathank you for answer😊
What is your score?
My score was 85 I have to double check but it was over 80.
Was there a drug screening at all?
No drug screening in Florida. I don't know about other states.
When was yours ? @signz9616
