Fantic XE 300 2 stroke fuel injection, oil injection, electronic power valve, electric start, hydraulic clutch and much more! Dream "YZ 300X" is coming to production!!
Every month they send us stuff to look at like new products, maintenance madness, crazy dirt bike fails and other moto stuff from around the web or in motorcycle retailers. Check out the video and let us know what you think! Cheers - Авто та транспорт
I think this is great! People say 2 strokes died out but they only died out of the supercross and pro motocross industry. But if anything they have grown since that time. But if Yamaha is still pushing, maybe it will encourage a japanese brand or two to get back into the 2 stroke game again?
Two strokes did not die out in US based supercross and motocross, they got (and still are) disadvantaged by the AMA rules who pact up with the "big four" manufactures who wanted to sell more expensive and complex 4 strokes. The US market/consumer was follwoing like sheep in the eraly 2000s. European manufactures are more loyal about twos strokes and never worked on enforcing such harsh rules against two strokes in the competition series. 🇪🇺😎
They never died off in Europe.
Thanks to enduro and the fact that in many countries you can get a license for 125cc bike at 16. Two strokes make more power than four stroke engines of equal displacement so they are a popular choice for the youth. Technically there is 11kW limit but its not really enforced at least in Nordic countries, southern and eastern Europe.
Countries like the UK, Germany and so on are probably more strict, not sure.
? This happens with fantic.
? Don't get the post
Fantic, not Yamaha. Maybe they use Yamaha bottom, but the rest is developed by Fantic/Minarelli.
@@chillon2922X fanatic us basically Yamaha with a body kit. They may be some company that is "partnered with yamaha". Yamaha motor, suspension, and frame. So most likely this engine is Yamaha developed, so we may have a Yamaha 300.
I was a dealer of the 4 big Japanese brands back during the fall of the 2-stroke. Yamaha had exciting new technology back then to build compliant 2 stroke’s. Always thought the shift to 4-strokes was used as more of a sales gimmick to push the market and one day there would be a shift back to the 2-strokes for similar reasons...
This Yamaha inspired project is what I’ve wanted to see for many year’s...
Doubtful.
Doubtful.
It wasn’t just a gimmick on Honda’s end. I think more $$$ bikes was just a bonus for them. Soichiro Honda was always against them and the company still is. They pushed hardest for 4 strokes in MX and MotoGP.
When Honda built something they did it right and stuck to it. Yamaha is/was the innovator that often kept up with the market.
Another great video Rado.
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the newest innovations!
There is no moto experience quite like a two stroke. The power surge is absolutely addictive. Hopefully the Big Four will see the light and restart production of these awesome machines.
I agree 110%. I have had many, many two strokes. Addictive is a good description.
Yamaha never stopped 💙
As soon as 4 strokes took over i lost interest in moto x ?
As a half Italian half Polock this Fantik is for me.. red and white like the polish flag and made in the motherland. I would love to have one, it would be a major flex on the trails when some guy says “ohh look at that little no name Chinese 2t your riding” and then I’ll just say “google it”😂😂😂
Yes, sign me up
Poland 🇵🇱 rocks! 💯
Yeah, I would enjoy that as well!!!! LOL...did I show you my new Bike? ...and all: What Asian Crap ist that????....and then the " Hallo!" Effekt!.....yeah, nice, really nice it would be!
Fantic is an old brand and it has been around for decades. Any, real, bike enthusiast has heard about it (at least in Europe).
@@regulus6936 well than I just became a real bike enthusiast
Anytime we get new bikes is great news!!! This bike looks absolutely amazing!!! I can't wait for people to start riding this thing...based on a YZ250, it has a solid base to start from!!!
I was cross shopping the 250X Yammie, but ultimately bought a Beta 300RR since it had everything this Fantic has, minus the injection. If Fantic brought this over to the states it would sell VERY well. That YZ power plant is very reliable and makes great power! It would also be pretty neato to see the late 90's CR250 engine get these kinds of updates and tossed into an enduro chassis. Thanks for the video.
Great choice. I’m loving what Beta are doing, especially with the lower seat height and 200’s. Hopefully going to get an 300RR next year. I can’t understand why KTM are completely ignoring those segments and only getting taller if anything.
Unfortunately you’ll never see an updated CR250 from Honda. Soichiro Honda was against the tech and the company still is. They are the main reason for the shift to 4t in MX and MotoGP. Best off to keep supporting the companies that kept 2t going like KTM and Beta as you did. As the owner of a mint 03 CR250, it pains me to say that.
@@seashackf1w t f are you talking about? The beta 200 race has the same 36.6 seat height same as the beta 250 and 300 race 🙄
@@chadrides914 w t f are you talking about? I never said it was different. Two different things that I like that they are doing ……’and’. Learn to read. 🙄
I have carpal tunnel (I do ok on a 4strk) does anyone know if it has a counter-balancer?
Same here I bought 23 200rr for my son and 300rr for myself best choice ever. Get the xc mako handle bar mounts for less vibration really helps on my 300 the 200 isn't as bad
This bike would answer my prayers!! This is exactly what I've been missing!
Looking at the engine photos,
Both injectors are in the top of the throttle body... So tbi.
What I think you were referring as a tpi injector is actually the crank case pressure sensor.
Love the starter location.👍
I love that frame, it looks so factory🥰 Sick bike too, love to see Fantic/Yamaha stepping up to the 2 stroke injection game.
I'd be on board after it had been out a year or two. Rather not take chances with "bugs" associated with new brands or platforms. Great concept, bring it on!
Dude ! How exciting !
We are waiting it in Greece also!!!!❤❤❤ Can't stop imagining how it ll climb in our hard trails
Ooo. Now this bike I'm excited for. Let's hope the FI is sorted unlike TPI.
What's wrong with TPI? I have over 400 hrs on TPI with one CCP failure. I've found TPI owners are the biggest problem TPI has.
@@williamcrotts7054TBI
Why does my TPI bike run flawlessly? All I do is change gear oil and add fuel. Flawless running, and great linear traction everywhere.
If it’s a 2-stroke I am smoking it.
Can't wait to see all these topucs you talked about!
Yes on YZ 300!! Great job on video!!
I don't know man, at Eicma Fantic said the engine is a Minarelli, completely engineered, developed and built in Bologna (HQ of Minarelli). Calling it a Yamaha 250 may sound insulting. I do get it that it is "probably" based on that one (with the early prototipes resembing it), but they are pretty proud of it and consider it their creation, given the resources spent on the project.
we need this, i dont mind 4 stroke but lets all be honest. nothing beats the two stroke reliability and power. 4 stroke is best when its a massive cylinder where a 2 stroke power band would be too aggressive
Yes fantic can just take my money. Yamaha with an Italian touch it's for me👍👍
The engine is completely built in Italy at the Minarelli plant, that is owned by Fantic but produces engines for Yamaha models also (the cp2 of the euro T7 just to name one)
Anyway, the bike will not come to the US. It is part of the deal/partnership with Yamaha as far as the YZ platform is related.
Thanks for posting this. I was looking for a street legal 2 stroke. Long live the Italians!
i am so hyped for those 2 bikes from fantic😆
I would definitely like to see it in person, sounds solid be nice to see another 300 two-stroke other than KTM and Husq, which are great bikes.
Hello from Italy! Very good video. Here in Italy TM’s are particularly widespread by ‘rich’ young guys. You can see a lot of SMR 125, that you can drive at the Age of 16. Till 10 years ago the most common 125cc 2stroke bikes were Aprilia Rs and MX, CAGIVA Mito and Rapror, HUSQVARNA SMS and WRE, HM CRM and CRE.
Sounds really groovy🤙
Those Italians bike are awesome ❤
If that bike came out last year, I probably would have purchased it instead of my TM Racing 300 2T (which I love). I was coming off a YZ250X and had a ton of parts and wheels, etc. That 310 4T is going to sell really, really well.
Looks Bitchin - With all the Yamaha cloned 2Strokes out there, you'd think Yamaha would build a Fifth Degree Black Belt Electric Start YZ300XCW and a 350SX, both come with spare High Compression Heads for high altitude raging - TBI PreMix set up -Kickstart Option - I'd buy 2 -
Hey Rado MIKE GULIZ here thanks for put all these videos out i am Italian and am so excited that all these italian manufactures are putting out all these enduros i would love to have these bikes and would likr to know about TM
I’d get one for sure if the come to Canada
Been to my Fantic dealer in Manfredonia Southern Italy, will be ordering my red XE 300. Got a new XEF125 4T it's amazing agility and power with that Minarelli 4T engine. Can't wait for my new XE 300 2T 😎🇮🇹
I’m sold on it! Bring it over. Ktm needs more competition
I’m really interested in the Fantic 2T bike. I own a 2021 Tm EN300fi 2T and I love this bike! You mentioned that you may dig into the TM bike in another video. I think that’s a great idea. You also mentioned there is a TM dealer near you in California. I believe it called Get Dirty Dirtbikes. I live in central California and I order all my parts from Dave at Get Dirty. Great folks down there. Thanks for sharing this video on the fantic 300 2T bike. Looks amazing.
Hi...is the tm better for CrossCountry (fast Races) or for Extremenduro (technical Races)?
@@offroaddriver8 I use my TM for everything. My average ride is about 50 hard miles per session. Sometimes I do closer to 70 miles just depended on the type of riding were doing. I have the EN model not the MX and I really love this bike. It feels like you're riding a mountain bike.
@@kspence7480 thank you for your answer
@@offroaddriver8 You're welcome!
I recently bought a talaria xxx. It’s a smaller electric bike however they are super impressive and they are releasing a full spec dirtbike this year. Talaria Dragon.
So cool Rado!
I’m trying to find one in Europe and get it imported or I’m going to go there and get one, and tear it apart and ship it back with me on my return flight to USA!👍
Can you pick me up one while you’re there please mate!
Check out Fast eddy in the UK. He's a main fantic dealer.
It is like many KTM 300 TPI's that got converted to premix and 1 injector relocated to the throttle body area.
I did this on a 2022 and it ran so much better.
Hahahah bUt kTm is the bEsT
Absolutely excellent review and details! thank you for the video.
I would have loved to see from Fantic a hard enduro designated 300 2T, I would buy it over the Austrian brands any day of the year.
Why? KTM group is tops in the world of MX now. By far.
@@Davido50Well, if you have been following up on the US Super Cross and Motocross this year, Honda ticked all of the boxes. However, when I said I would pick up the Fantic over an Austrian is not because of their racing pedigree. It seems to me that in recent years KTM has been compromising on the quality of their components when compared to the competition. They make excellent bikes, I do not dispute that, it is just my own personal view that they are charging more than their worth
This will cost more than any of the KTM bikes and there's no mention of a balance shaft.
Tremendous!
I'll try one! Ktm and a beta 300cc owner.
yes please!
The Italians have always been innovators. Husqvarna in Varese had an highly capable, EPA/ 50 state legal four stroke, fuel injected off-road bike in 2008. BMW promptly bought the company and completely destroyed it. Hence the KTM ownership. The Italian Huskies were outstanding bikes, so it's no surprise to see this type of innovation and capability coming from an Italian manufacturer
You know, I don't quite understand why everyone thinks that they need a 300cc bike. I've rode them. I've rode 250cc bikes. I've rode a 200cc bike, all two strokes. My favorite overall is my 125. I've found that they're so light, nimble and snappy that they're not only fun, but I'm do much faster on the small bike. That being said, I do fluctuate between 155 to 160 pounds most of the time, so I can take advantage of the small bike.
nice 🔥
The fantic is looking nice TM only builds bikes to specific Rider specifications that's why they don't have such a large production when you go to buy a bike from TM you basically place your order how you want it
I've gotten to a point that I'm 100% with what's available stock other than a bigger tank on the YZ
I’d buy this in a heartbeat
would trade a bike in for this to be added. great looking bike
very curious to follow this!
i hope yamaha keeps the carby kickstart and cable clutch theyre the reason i got a yz
One things for sure I see this bike on the dealership floor buying it !!!!!!!
YESSSSS! Take my $$$
I have a TM 300 2 stroke and it’s handsome. Wonderful frame, wonderful engine and everything has the quality of something handmade
Yamaha needs to build a YZF 350F
So cofusing why the Japanese brands aren't in the enduro game. It's the fastest growing segment of the market from what I understand. Not everyone can splatter themselves on the motocross track on the weekend,
the only Japanese brands in enduro are Honda and Yamaha. no suzuki or kawasaki in rally raid or isdt
@@PatricioGarcia1973 I wouldn't consider Honda or Yamaha in the enduro game. 300 2 stroke with hydraulic clutch is the minimum.
@@midgetmoney1 Enduro isn't just extreme enduro. Take a look at Enduro GP in Europe and you will see what traditional style enduro is. You will also see probably 50% 4-strokes, mostly 250-350 cc.
@@midgetmoney1in Europe you have hard enduro and you have enduroGP. The four stroke is definitely the preferred weapon in GP. Honda has a strong presence in europe through red Moto's. They have a 300, 350 and 400 cc version of the CRF RX.
Only every bought old bikes for cheap but i would call up and buy this bike sight unseen and unridden.
Please for the love of god Yamaha give us this 300!!!
Real question is what gearbox will it have? Problem with my YZX is only 5 speed and I need a 6 speed WR gearbox
I will own one some day 🥇
Yes in the states.
If the Yamaha engine Fantic is released in Japan, I think it will attract attention.
YZs finally getting a hydraulic clutch? LOL, I am in the business of selling hydraulic clutches for all dirt bikes back to 1985 that don't have one. If this bike does not come with one, give me a shout.
For 2 stroke there's also Lextra ( in USA and UK is under the name of GPX ) as cheaper alternative. I got the 300, a copy of KTM, carburated, with mechanical power valve. It cost me the half of any of the european brand.
A Chinese clone bike eh 😂
Id love to see this in the sand dunes! I ride my 01 KTM 380 in the dunes and its a lot of fun!
I would buy this 10/10
I'll take one.
I would buy one.
does it have a counter balance?
I hope it comes to the US bc people like two strokes here still I mean everywhere keeps 2 stroke alive better than we do but we still love them and this is cool bc at that price that’s around the same price as a brand new 250 but instead ur getting a 300 it would be good to see another 300 other than ktm around here
Count me in
I loved my 2002 yz 250 but now i had to settle for a ktm 300 ,but would very much like to get one ! I live in a small town ,that has only a little single track aguanga,ca
At 2.26 you can clearly see the 2 injectors in the throttle body side by side so it won't be port and direct injection it's just port
Yamaha needs to update the YZ250 and keep the price the same, add autolube, fuel injection at least.
YZ125 and YZ250 haven't changed much to grand father around Environmental Protection Agency's requirements. Motor is Euro 5 compliant. Would the EPA be all over Yamaha? Fantic, being small like Beta can get around some of those requirements. They would sell a ton of these in the States.
I'll buy one tomorrow if it comes to USA
Really hoping this makes it to the US
can you please share a link to the T-handles hanger?
does the 300 fantic have a counter balance aksel `like the TM300 2 stroke ?
Because the YZ250 really vibrates alot
My Sherco 300se reminds me of my old YZs
I want one so bad, I can taste it.
They are the best bikes raced against a few there the business
At 9:51, you see a picture of the XE300 without a kickstarter. Damn shame. Oh well, I just bought a Beta for this exact reason. Trust the button if you want, just stay near the truck. I think they'd been better off with a factory Lectron carb anyway. A lot of people have been burned with KTM's injection woes and Beta's oil injection bad wrap. My friends don't buy the Yamaha because it's better than a KTM/Husky/Gasgas/Beta/TM... they buy it because it's affordable and reliable. Some of them will give up affordable, but if you throw away all the advantages over a KTM or Beta, then why go through the trouble? This close... then... missed it.
Tm has been doing this for years! Best bike for the money and they make a 300 sx
There is no such thing as a "KTM Killer" lol. KTM is king
Only one question... Is it a 6 speed box?
I would.nice bike
Love it. It's amazing. I bet it rips. Not for me. I rather have a stock yz250 set up for me
when is it coming to usa?
Let's do it here!!! When in USA? 😮
"Siri, how do I import two Fantic motorcycles to the USA?"
The KTM ain’t no slouch
Is there a problem with the electrics for the fuel injection and the electrics that the Italians have designed
Have they been tested to destruction before going into
Production or is it a bad design From Italy
I'll be buying one the day it comes out if they bring them to the u.s.
Kawasaki and Suzuki could see a serious improvement in sales if one of them comitted to bringing a 2T back into the market. Yamaha has laughed all the way to the bank by keeping 2T production alive.
I’m in . Where do I pay the Deposit? Anywhere in Arizona??
Take my money!!!
I'd put money down for one!
I hope they bring the xxf 310 and not only the xef (enduro) 310.
is this available in the US?
