I’d love to see a modern day outfit mod for the male characters. We seen a few female ones with the crop top and short shorts like Lara Croft but I also want to see modern day one like Nathan Drake, or jean shorts with a muscle shirt. Also for the portrait mods, it would be cool to choose what animations you want to put in there with your choice of music.

I really hope HL modding eventually gets to anywhere near the level of modding Bethesda games - I'd love to see massive added questlines, full dungeons or towns, maybe even other big maze-like castles similar to Hogwarts in other areas (tbh I'm kind of surprised none of the dungeons were full on mazes, they're all really linear, with just a couple side extra treasure rooms). I'd also love if mods could make thing more dynamic/realistic, for example closing shops at night, or having the shopkeeper npcs actually walk around, leave their shop or go to the back room to sleep - for example, J. Pippin taking a walk over to the Magic Neep every so often to buy potion ingredients, or actually have him walk over to somewhere within his shop, conjure a cauldron, and brew a potion. Add some life to the currently static npcs. It'd also be nice to pick a wait duration rather than just swapping directly between day and night, and add in some "time of day"-type interactions that you could catch.

Most of the ones that are more detailed/in-depth, like most Bethesda games, have npcs with schedules they follow during the game day and you learn their schedules and interact with them during realistic times of day. In Skyrim for example, most the shopkeepers have a separate house in their town and they close/lock their shop at night, walk to their house, go inside, lock their door, and go to sleep, and then go back to their shop in the morning. Some shopkeepers like weaponsmiths will have a forge or anvil outside of their shop and they'll go outside and smith something occasionally then come back inside. It adds a lot to the immersion when the shopkeepers aren't just static standing in the same exact spot 100% of the time. Not just shopkeepers either, most npcs - for example, students should walk back to their common rooms and go to bed, you should be able to follow a student from your house and see them walk all the way back to the common room and lay down, then stay in bed until morning. Or have some students "sneak around" at night when they're "not supposed to" be awake.
I would prefer more lore mods, stuff like missing wands or brooms . Lore accurate outfits... I did enjoy the Voldemort voice mod, but having Bellatrix would have been sweeter.
Samus arm cannon for the wand mod would be cool not only that if it possible to change the animation into how Samus point her arm cannon to shoot instead of swing hilariously, the projectile effect of the wand shooting out was a fitting for the arm cannon. But now her whole iconic Varia suit too be cool as well.
Getting out of hand? Oh, no, no, no... this is just the beginning. It only gets out of hand if mods make this game completely unrecognizable. Granted, not anywhere on Skyrim's level, but you know what I mean.

I think it would be far better if there were rules like that you could break and potentially get in trouble for. Like having to use an invisibility spell before taking off or you risk getting detention. I also hate that there is zero reason for me to return to the dorms. I picked Ravenclaw and thought it was dope it was the only common room you could basically fly to from the roof access, but there's no reason for me to do so.
I just kinda want a simple mod where you can access all common rooms through a password, or use a transfiguration potion to get access to other houses without having to glitch the game or create a new character.
I wish there was a reason to go to the dorms at all. I could see videos of the dorms if I want to know what they look like, but I have no reason to go to them in-game.

Well, I'm not yet ready to call it this generation's Skyrim, but the two are similar. Tons of great mods, takes place in a rugged, Northern European area, both protagonists are mysterious and have a rare and powerful magic which is beyond even most of the mages in each setting, both sets of Dragons are even wyverns in the proper sense, as they lack front legs.

Half the mods are reshaders and like a third of the non sharders mods are technically cheating taking away and challenge in combat, needing to do the assignments to learn spells, removing all spell cooldowns, boosting your damage and your hp to overwhelming heights, etc
