Touring with a KLX300SM, Yes or No?
@@b226tj Sure...to the local Walgreen's or Dairy Queen 🤣
The Goldwing imo is the best on the list. I guess there's a reason it was and is number one.
K1600GTL
@@davidbrooks8061 Is a goldwing but worse and more expensive.
@sorashirogami1729 the BMW is 30 more hp then the Goldwing. I have the BMW, 2021, friend has the Honda, 2018, which I've ridden many times. Although love the Goldwing I'll take my GTL everyday of the week.
See kids, RadioShack used to be an electronics store where you could find lots of weird, cool, shiny electronics.
i miss that place and blockbuster and game crazy and toy r us.... i cry myself to sleep every time i remember
@@zemog_oil I miss the 90's and the early 00's.
Yeah, but in canada they had to change the name to the source because some small chain in the US had copywritten the name.
@@zemog_oil you must’ve lived an easy sheltered life if that’s the kinda thing you cry over
I just know young Sheldon ZZZ..
I had the Vulcan vaquero, the bagger version of the voyager. Great bike and got it as a leftover bike for 14k 5 years ago. You can’t beat it at that price. Another plus is it was way more comfy than my Harley once I put a mustang seat on it. I put 35000 miles on it in 2 years. ❤❤
I'm 48, no grandchildren and have an HD Streetglide special. I know it's fun to hate Harleys but I really like it and can't wait until it warms up a bit here in Utah. I considered a Goldwing but I didn't think I was THAT old, I'm sure they are nice though.
Thanks for showing us 40 yr old Touring Bike riding enthusiasts some love 🎉
I own a dual clutch machine in a semi urban area with tons of stop and go traffic. I love the simplicity of not needing to tend a 6 speed gearbox. Hang on and enjoy.
have to agree with you goldwing being number one on this list .....was a Harley owner .recently purchased 2010 wing loving it
A K1600 GTL would a great deal at USD 16,895, but it's MSRP is 10k more.
BMW and "reasonable price" in the same sentence did sound a bit strange...
That's without an engine or wheels, lol.
That’s with a CEL on 😂
@@wmopp9100 they are letting that R18 bagger go for about $16k right now, which is a reasonable price, but it's still a sucky bike. Like 1/4 of the bags are filled up with speakers which is dumb when if you are tech savvy enough to be riding a BMW you probably have a Bluetooth helmet.
Drove each and every one of my Dad's HD's in the 80's and 90's but own #1 on the list GL1800 DCT fer the win' - nothin else comes close
Love my voyager, price and comfort
Lets go this a great video for advice !
you forgot to go up one step from the Challenger into the Pursuit, but other than fully bagged out seems to be essentially the same bike haha! thanks for the comparisons!
A bike I noticed that didn't make the list in the BMW section was the R18. I'm not a BMW simp by any means, but if you're talking about touring bikes, it may deserve a mention
I’d ride my Honda Shadow on any long tour. Very reliable.
Good video. One issue. The 22 K1600 GTL STARTS at $27,500. Not sure where you got $16,000, but if that was the case, GoldWing wouldn’t sell any bikes. I had 2019 GTL that was on sale for $22K. . .Good news is a used 2019 with very low mileage are only $14-$16K, so that is an option that makes a lot of sense. I traded mine for a T120 Bonnie and never looked back.
I have a 2003 Hayabusa and a 2022 H2 SX SE and I love both of them
After a different seat and bar risers, I can do lots of miles on my Ninja 1000. I slid on oil and dropped my 1981 CB900c at a gas station many years ago and could barely pickup those 688lbs. Can't imagine screwing up and trying to pick up 800lb+
Please do a full video on the Goldwing. It really is an excellent bike.
He has
My formative riding years were the 60’s and 70’s which coincided with the AMF days for Harley, those were the days when Harley riders had to have a truck and trailer bring up the rear to pick up the dead soldiers so I automatically cross Harley off my list!
too bad amf hasnt owned harley in almost 40 years.
Do you do a more detailed comparison of the Honda vs the BWM?
I still love my 2003 Yamaha Royal Star Venture with its V4 engine, tons of storage and plush seats. I have yet to find anything I like better.
What is your opinion in the Harley Davidson V-Rod model?
Yes, do the touring giveway.
It would be fun to watch that video.
You showed a PC800 (Pacific Coast) picture in the GW segment..I had one of those. #3 Is my BMW Dad bike...nice. Besides the GW the only sane choices are the Honda or BMW.
2022 HD CVO Road Glide in Orange and Black
Yamminator!! One bmw touring (yes touring kinda) that you might actually like/enjoy is the S1000XR
Nice thanks god bless
My 1981CB 900c was a great tourer until it finally died. It has a 10 speed transmission so I could play truck driver with it.
I would say that the Honda gold wing would be my best be but it be used .
The Indian challenger: If Grand theft auto made a in game version of the Harley Road Glide
How about showing some love for the R1250RT?
Lighter and nimbler than the K1600, but just as good for the distance!
Who now, wants to see yammie fit a sofa, cb radio, and tow trailer on the turbo boosa and call it a touring bike?
That's right, you put my fact in there. Good papa yams.
I'd happily do tons of miles on my africa twin, its comfortable and I can choose to stay on the road or take a dirt road as a short cut
youre on a bike, why are you taking shortcuts?
The challenger/pursuit is a monster. If you haven't ridden one then you are missing out.
🤘Indian Challenger all day,
Dang my c90t boulevard didn't make the cut 😕 lol but I really want to get a vulcan vaquero 1700 all though that challenger is pretty sweet price tag sucks though
Why yamaha star venture is not on the list ?
I need to give the nod to the 2018 and newer Yamaha Star Venture. It was an absolutely brilliant big v twin cruiser that was discontinued when Yamaha realized they weren't sewing enough to make money.
27 here and I love my fz6 but I really want a cruiser/tourer 🤣 between a Harley and a goldwing lol
i thought that kawasaki (GTR)concourse 1400 is better than Voyager
or it no more selling in the states?
in my place that bike one of the favorite touring bike
goldwing are too slow for them 😆
What about the Yamaha star venture?
Segment is about Goldwing, casually drops in a PC800 pic
Great video as usual!
Question: Has anyone toured on a Triumph Rocket 3 GT or BMW R18 Transcontinental? Looking to finally escape the Harley world (2019 Road King Special) and try something new. Cheers!
Can you put bags on the rocket?
The rocket with a batwing fairing and hard bags… that’s like free beer
I ride my 30
Year old Electraglide. Don’t need infotainment screen just pop a Bluetooth FM Transmitter into its cigarette lighter and boom I have instant music. But thing about it is. I don’t owe for it.
Nice
Would be fun to see papa yam doing a bunch of miles on a touring bike 🤣
Some how tue Ducati Multistrada didnt make the list 😮 The bike for couples who ⛺️ and hike, 🍷 and dine, and simply have refined tastes while doing it.. together.
I'm here to tell yall that I've done plenty of trips on a sportster with guys on the big touring bikes. You can do the same thing with a sissy bar and a backpack if you don't want to break the bank.
$16,895 for K 1600??? Where do I sign up for that?
I'm 30 and ride a 09 ultra glide classic but my dream bike is a Indian challenger
Just out of curiosity does anyone make a touring bike that isn't so heavy and huge but still as comfortable?
The Honda silverwing scooter probably would have fit the bill but they don't make them anymore.
Check out Indians line extremely well Balance of the weight
Indian Challenger has a touring version called the Indian pursuit.
I'm thinking a used Yamaha FJ. I bet you could find a low mile bike someone thought they needed cheap for this category. And Yamaha Build quality. That would be my angle entering this category. I do realize your talking a 2023. I don't have that budget even if I did those numbers are hard to rap my head around.
The Goldwing was great up until 2016. After that it has become an 1800cc Vespa. Anyone that says otherwise is being paid to.
I'm buying the K1600GTL this year for European tours and can't wait.
You will love it.
It. Is. Awesome.
Excellent choice
You posted that a year ago. Did you get the K 1600 GTL? If so, how do you like it?
I probably will never get a touring bike. But if i were to get one, it surely would be honda goldwing
Yamaha Fjr1300
i resemble that remark....
Nice, but if you really want to hear a pros about motorcycles go to MCN
Should of added indian pursuit
Was the Road Glide BBC limited production? LMAO
ok, @ 1:31 , thats a PC800, not a goldwing. i can understand the confusion tho....
maybe one day i would get an adventure bike or never who knows lol
The 2024 Golding ONLY comes in matte green for some reason. Kinda dumb
I’m a little confused why the cbr1000rr didn’t make it on this list.
BMW k1600 gtl base price 26,895. Mistakes happen, but I sure as shit was ready to buy one at that 17k.
Damn you Papa Yam , I'm 54 ...wear Jean cargo shorts, white leather New balance shoes and Drive a GL1800.... With reverse.
There's a missing tanky steed: the R18
Moto Guzzi MGX21
Spite's corner is a much better channel
where the yamaha raider at?
1st is the best
where's the 2018 Yamaha?
Indian Pursuit.
👀 oh no yummy Noob say New Balance sneakers
Goldwing DCT all day
Only one question..... Where the heck did you discover the picture at the price reaction [the "Wow"] on the price off the Indian Roadmaster..?? I believe [and pretty sure] it's Eddy Wally, a "famous" singer in Belgium.. Known for his nerdy[little nonworldwise/retard] phrases...
HD Ultra Limited is the actual touring bike from HD
1:48
130 FLTB?
Why are you always dissing haltey riders ? You're always going on about how dope Hayabusa are which has got to be the tackiest bike you could possibly buy. I don't even ride Harleys. I've had a harley but personally I'm more into dual sport and scooters if I'm honest . But you're weird hate for harley and hard on for the busa is strange to say the least. I'm much more impressed seeing a bagged out dyna going 12oclock than seeing anyone on a a super bike . The logistics of moving a bike like a harley like that and dragging your hands . That's bad ass . Or a super b8ke that wants to do a backflip off thw throttle right out of the box. I think you're just bummed you can wheelie a dyna
Honda trail 125 all day
Oopsies! Did I just see a PC800 pretending to be a Wing?
Thin I did.
I think the goldwing is just too easy mode. 1 step away from a convertable car
you really love Debussy huh
I don’t understand what’s the difference between riding a goldwing and driving a car? It is the same!
I prefer the BMW R1250RS
Yamaha royal star , an obvious omission
Concours 14 ftw lol
My eyes vomitted when I saw the GTL. Oh, the things we do for comfort...
Here in Georgia, I've only ever seen 2 electric vehicles this year. Nobody here likes them.
The HD Ultra Limited is not a Road Glide nor a Street Glide. It is an Electra Glide. I'm sure some one has already pointed this out to you, I'm just reminding you that Harley is still a thing because of the Harley owners, not the MoCo. Signed, not impressed with your biased opinion.
Busa @7:29
Bmw 1600gt is the best beast great ridiculous
Burp!
Well as always Yammie Noob missed the best touring bike. Oh wait the bike I am thinking of isn't a touring bike it is a "Performance Tourer" aka the Indian Pursuit.
I will ask the same thing I did in 2021, Yammie Noob ride your Turbo Hayabusa on the Smackdab Run June 24 2023. You have been called out again.
So let me get this straight. I could buy the BMW with a stronger motor and all the goodies that the other ones have and have enough left over to buy the new Honda Hornet. Humm I might be American but I Ain't Stupid!!! Wunderbar
first. give me a heart or you'll get a harley fatboy for christmas
You have a pretty good list and no real argument with bikes on the list. We need to honest here right? You have great credentials regarding sport and off road bikes for sure.
When it comes to touring motorcycles well.....let's just say that touring bikes isn't your strong point. When you ride that one thousand mile ride a few times I'll pickup the red poser flag I just threw out.
He just needs to ride a REAL touring bike, right?
@@matthewshultz8762 I'm pretty confident in his familiarity with the touring bikes. I've watched his channel for a few years and don't recall any touring bike reviews which is understandable since that isn't in his interest. My opinion is to get a valid judgment on how good or bad a touring bike may be is to take them out for a week touring.
I certainly believe he more than capable of properly evaluating a touring bike if given the proper opportunity.
