Great lesson, thank you so much. Wonderful song. Sad and sweet.
Great lesson...
Detailed and informative.
Key is right on....
Gave justiced to what my ear has picked up in the past week.
I needed to figure out the rythym but I couldn't get Peter Buck's slide solo outta my head first....
I mean...ive heard this since '92..
Just heard it outta the blue & it brought me back to my youth...then I realized I had to learn it...
Thanks very much buddy. Always good when you get one of those that you can come back to after years! Cheers, Ben
Great run through Ben and a nice Maton you have
Thanks buddy. Yeah its my pride and joy, had it a little while now and I love it! Do you have one?
@@BenWrightGuitar nice one. Yeah l have a3 Matons. As an Australian its a crime not to play one :) My performance guitar is EBG 808. Love it
Hi Guys. What REM song would you like me to do a lesson on next? Cheers, Ben
Ben Wright alright mate, I've been doing this song for ages, on the chorus were you do the run down from C Am seems to work better for me, I you's to go to Bm to Am, which seems to be a handful, and the lead is brilliant, very good teacher indeed, cheers for the lesson 👍👍👍✌
Thanks buddy! I really appreciate the positive feedback, makes it all the better doing these videos! Glad it helped
Ben Wright I was wondering if you know the song Brand new friend by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, it came out in 1985, he does a acoustic version on UA-cam, but I'm not good enough to work it out ✌
I don't but will take a look at it
Do you mean the one where he's in the hotel room? Can definitely do a lesson on that, its so 80s haha
cool, but you didnt show the first solo?
Sorry buddy, but I've just listened back to it and there's one solo. Which part do you mean? There are two guitars the whole way through and I haven't done a lesson for the electric part. Just the main solo
use a normal D chord it's better
Its not what he plays though. If you play normal D you don't get the slide
