I know this is old, however I came across this when looking for a backpack for lower back support + everyday carry. What stood out with your review is that you showcased what it looked like fully loaded plus you listed your height which I really appreciate. Thank you so much
Per the Thule site and photos inlcuded, the side pocked isn’t meant for the water bottle but quick access for phone or boarding pass. The zippered side pocket is what’s meant for water bottle as it comes with elastic.
Nice review video! Really in-depth and detail. Have this bag for little over a year now, and have been loving it since then. Your review actually makes me rethink how I can reorganize my stuffs in the bag. Thank you for making this video 😊✨
Hi, thanks for the reviews. I really like them. I am looking for a backpack that has side zip to access laptop, like Thule Subterra 30 and Timbuk2 Commuter Backpack. Could you please give me some backpacks with the similar design (size zip for laptop access)? Thanks in advance!
After watching a ton of travel backpack video's to find a good bag your's was the Best and convinced me to buy the Thule 30. I got it and immediately started packing it to see how it would hold and carry my gear for travel. Everything you described was right on. The only nitpick was the Branding was way too BIG. I feel like a walking billboard. I missed the part where the straps are not stowable but I just put them benind the strap on the back of the pack. What is the name of the LARGE packing cube you displayed in your video? THANK YOU and Good Luck and HAPPY TRAILS. Vince H.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad to hear the bag has been working out well for you! The packing cube I used is from arcido and I included a link to it in the description of the video if you want to take a closer look:)
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! I can see how the branding being so front and center could be off putting especially if looking for something really minimal:)
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! Both are great and I prefer the aesthetic of the Thule, but overall I would lean towards the metron as it has a more comfortable harness IMO, I like that it is a clamshell bag, it has a separate shoe compartment and includes a rain cover for extra weather resistance. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)
Hi Danny. Thx for your videos, a lot of job done 👍I’m a slightly stuck to choose a right backpack and wanna ask your opinion as the expert. What you would choose Subterra 34L vs Wandrd Prvke 31L . Just for travel purpose ( cabin luggage/hotel/maybe like daily usage but only outside of country as home got lighter one) thx and appreciate for your comments 🙏
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! Both of those are solid options, overall I prefer the prvke as it feels a little more rugged and I like that it can open fully flat, but the Thule may be better if you want something lighter and with a more subdued look
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! Although I really like all the organization provided on the paramount, overall I prefer the aesthetic and simplicity of the subterra a bit more
Thank you for watching and tough choice! To me the subterra feels a little more durable than the north face bags and I think the aesthetic is a little better for city / office Carry but I think the north face bags are a little more comfortable, they have better water bottle pockets and will be a bit more suited to the outdoors, so I think with any of them you will have a solid bag, but which is best will depend on how you intend to use it most often
@@dannypacksTNF SURGE, Osprey Nebula or subterra 30 L? I want a backpsck with 30-32 L capacity , chest strap, comfortable backpanel and very good and safe laptop compartiment ? Which is the best backpsck option? The price doesn't matter!
Will this specific 30l backpack be good for storing underneath an airplane seat as a personal item backpack? If anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
Thank you for watching! I think it could potentially fit on some larger airlines, but in general I feel it might be a little tall and since the bag is fairly rigid it could be a really tight fit
Thank you for watching! I think the bag dimensions might be a little over the ones listed on their site for a personal item, with that being said it has a pretty minimal form factor and doesn’t look super bulky so you might be able to get away with it if the gate agents aren’t super strict
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Unfortunately the bag doesn’t stand up consistently on its own, it can sometimes depending on how it’s packed out but if the weight shifts it can tip over unlike something like the Aer tech pack. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Im 5'8, do you think this bag pack would look good if I was wearing it or would it be too big? I dont wanna look like I'm carrying a turtle shell on my back haha
I was all set to buy this bag UNTIL the video reveals that the laptop quick-access area cannot be locked. It only has a single zipper. If I can't secure my laptop with this bag then it's an EPIC fail.
Thank you for watching! This is a packing cube from a company called Arcido and I will make sure there is a link included in the description for the video if you want to check it out!:)
Honestly, this gentleman has the best backpack reviews I’ve seen on UA-cam!
Thank you for watching and for the kind words! I really appreciate the support!

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m glad the video was helpful and that you’ve been enjoying the bag!:)
Wondering if you’d prefer this or the 34L version?
Thank you for watching! For me I prefer this one as I’m not a huge fan of roll tops in general
Thanks for your effort, comprehensive and simple explanation - GOODWORK! Thanks

Great video - does this guy stand up on its own when it is packed? Thank you!
If it's evenly packed - it does
Thank you for watching! Like the other comment says, it depends how it’s loaded out
How about a 16“ macbook?
Great review 👏
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)
does it have down padded for laptop sleeve?
Do you think a smallish DSLR camera with a fitted leather sleeve could fit in the main compartment?
Thank you for watching! I think that could work as long as the sleeve isn’t super bulky
Awesome review! Thank you.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)
Recommeded that DAWN gave you a prototype to test out
Thank you for or watching and for the support! I hadn’t heard of that one before but it looks pretty cool!:)
That branding is too big for me.
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! I can see how the branding being so front and center could be off putting especially if looking for something really minimal:)
Especially given that the brand is not especially cool
Should I get this subterra 30l Thule for school or would I be better off with the Osprey metron 26L? Thanks love the videos!

@@dannypacks thx for reply, valuable comments. Keep watching you ✌️
Hey, which would you recommend? This or Thule Paramound 27L?
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! Although I really like all the organization provided on the paramount, overall I prefer the aesthetic and simplicity of the subterra a bit more
Would you recommend this Thule backpack or the North Face Recon or Borealis? Thanks!

Hey, can you review the evergood civic half zip?
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion! I starting to test that out now so review should be coming soon!:)

Thanks for the review! Does it stand on its own?,

Im 5'8, do you think this bag pack would look good if I was wearing it or would it be too big? I dont wanna look like I'm carrying a turtle shell on my back haha
Thank you for watching! It really comes down to preference, my wife is 5’1 and she has worn bags like this and it looks ok if that helps :)
does it come with a rain cover?
Thank you for watching! The version i picked up did not come with a rain cover
Prices?
20L water bottle?
Thank you for watching! I meant to say it is a 20oz water bottle :) haha
it's very detail and usefuull review, thx. P.S. дякую)

The zipper pull has a hole in it, so you can use a cable lock to tie it to the handle.
What’s the name of your double packing cube

Hey are these bags waterproof
Thank you for watching! I would say it’s water resistant and will do ok in lighter rain but maybe not heavier rain
No double water space 👎👎
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! I would have liked to have seen an additional water bottle pocket on the other side!
In fact I use the the elastic pocket on the other side if I needed to put 2 water bottles.
perfect
