Want to know what the most horrific scene in this episode was? - It was that power outage when andor's group was on the bridge. You now realize that moment when the power went out it was actually them fying all the prisoners on level 2. It took so much power/electricity to do it that it caused an outage for a few seconds in the whole facility.
You guys didn't mention it, so Idk if you caught that, but yeah.
Good observation!
Holy shit, I didn't realize that.
Yeah that hits hard on repeat watches
Cool observation, really gotta do a rewatch once the season is done
Bro this show is so intense. Love how this show keeps you on the edge of your seat. Seeing the prisoners desperately trying to figure out what happened on Level 2 was so good
The way they revealed what happened on two was so perfect. The show really puts you there right, making you feel desperate at the same time as the prisoners.
@@MarcoCarag That explains the power loss when the prisoners were in the tunnel bridges. That was when all of level 2 got electrocuted all 50 of them a once. Agreed?
@@Blixer7 Yep, almost certainly. My initial assumption was that this happened in a tube, hence how word got out -- because nearby tubes could see it happen, and the timing of the power outage was during the tubes, not the workfloor.. But that would be pretty careless of the guards -- and on rewatching, the med tech says "word got out on the floor" which to me suggests it happened while working.
Big question for me, though -- if the intention was to never let people out, how could they possibly keep it a secret enough to keep the game going? It's almost better to just kill the person being released -- or, you know, actually release him.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of the guards' point of view, which hopefully we get next episode.
Best writing in all live-action Star Wars for me; The Gilroy Brothers (Bourne, Michael Clayton, Nightcrawler), Beau Willimon (House of Cards, Ides of March) & Stephen Schiff (The Americans) is one hell of a writers' room! Shame there's ppl out there who can't engage with it 'cos there're no Lightsabers, Skywalkers, Jedi etc.
Well put...,
That's on them, and not the writers. Some people (or a lot?) simply have the mental and emotional maturity of an eight-year-old.
This show is incredible and I think its getting the love it deserves luckily even if some just can't follow.
Yeah, condescension from the commenters is such a great response.
Andor is well-acted, with great production values. I like it for those reasons. But I'll never be very devoted to it.
It's good as a depressing, morally ambiguous entry into the Sopranos, Breaking Bad Game of Thrones mold of "modern" streaming/cable shows.
But is it ... Star Wars?
Or, more precisely, is it the kind of show Star Wars should become because some fans want to feel superior to the successful formula that started the franchise: swashbuckling "space opera" that didn't take itself this seriously.
Forget the sequels, prequels and all the carping about Disney+. The original trilogy that drew in millions upon millions of fans (like me) didn't wallow in this kind of bleak material.
And we didn't like it because we were too immature or stupid (as you commenters seem to think) - most of us had more experience about how the "real world" often sucked then than cell-phone attached, streaming-addicted types who think they're oppressed like the Imperial prisoners if their Doordash order is late arriving.
We get it. That's why we want an escape from it.
And Andor isn't that. That's not what it wants to be, and that's okay.
What's not okay is belittling everyone who doesn't want the franchise to turn into this going forward.
I'm watching the series and I think I'll appreciate it for what it is.
I watched the original pre-A New Hope Star Wars seven times in the theater in 1977. And a dozen or more times since. Before streaming, pausing, or even VCR's.
But I don't think I'll rewatch Andor.
And that's the difference.
Oh yes. I actually do engage so much with the show because there are NO jedi, lightsabres etc
I love that the underlying motivation for Andy Serkis' character is that he knows he's responsible for the lives of _EVERYONE on his floor._ He's a calculated and by-the-numbers type of person who makes sure he does everything he can to keep them safe and make sure that they get out as scheduled without any individual compromising the group's safety… *and he's just learned that there is no way he can achieve that.*
What has me even more excited than his shift at the end of the episode is that more than Cassian or anyone else - he knows that if they make an attempt and they don't do it right _WAY more than just THEIR floor will die for it._ So he will be the best asset they have if he isn't too shaken up by the absolutely overwhelming hopelessness he's just being faced with.
Plot Twist.. Bix was listening to the voice recordings of Darth Jar Jar :)
"That was sprinkled with kinky all over." is the absolute best description I've heard yet of that scene. It's like they both try to out creep the other, and get off on the challenge while playing with their power dynamic.
"Never more than 12" by Serkis was pure smoke!! It's rage and catharsis all at the same time.
How'd Dedra not know that 99% of the subscribers on her OnlyISBs page were shell accounts that Syril made?
I am so tense after this episode!!! This show never lets up!
You KNOW next ep is going to be wild.
Yeah, this was the harshest episode so far. Yet I will still frustrated that it came to an end.
Steph's second hand embarassment at 13:19 is gold...
Dedra is so scary and evil and I love it!
Crushing every scene ngl
Yes, she's great!
The moment I saw that the torture device they were going to use on Bix was sound based, I was immediately gripped by fear myself as I was wearing a headset. I was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for the horrible sound to go off in my ears as well. LOL
I believe season two will have the ghorman massacre showing how dark the empire is.
no actual sound they could come up with would compare with whatever nasty sound we imagined it to be 😄
I like how Achara and Steph cringed at the power dynamic between Dedra and Kaun but still understood the underlining themes of that interaction.
Your reaction about Syril and Dedra is just so good.
This show is just refreshing. Doesn't have to lean on huge battles or lightsabers. Just good storytelling and makes the empire competent for a change.
Imagine Mon Mothma's husband Perrin being secretly in the Resistance but in a totally different cell than his wife and none of them know what the other is doing and he's basically doing a Bruce Wayne by playing an awful dumbass socialite when he's actually more like Luthen behind the scenes. I know it's not true and Perrin is almost certainly exactly as useless and awful as he looks, but it would be hilarious.
This show is so great! All of the tension they have built over the past 8 episodes is not turning into a cold pit of dread, and I am HERE FOR IT! And, being down under, I really appreciate being able to watch it after work and then see you all posting a react almost immediately afterward. Can't wait for next week!
Heh. I'm on the east coast of North America and I actually watch it before work!😊
Feel better soon, Jaby. You guys are three of my favorite people on the internet.
andor: nobody's listening!
dr gorst: i'm gonna make you listen to this.
Okay - so totally the best Star Wars since 'The Empire Strikes Back' - it's so immersive and manages to merge the Star Wars Universe with ours....
I think it's even better than ESB.
Agreed
12:51 Let's be honest, Dedra Meero has the potential to be the greatest tsundere in all of Star Wars. *_Ever._*
Saw's remarks about Anton Kreegyr were somewhat vindicated given that the Empire captured a pilot associated with Kreegyr and are zeroing in on Kreegyr. Also with Luthen possibly heading out to Kreegyr, Empire may just stumble into Axis before they find Andor.
This show just keeps maintaining SUCH a high level.
That scene of Syril shooting his shot with Dedra was f_cking hilarious. I got the sense that he was genuine... to a degree, but that there was also an element of playing Dedra by telling her what she wants to hear in order to advance his own career and get out from under that god awful mother of his. If that's the case, it shows that he's a good read of people and what they desire, even if they don't know it yet.
Interesting point about the idea that even if you abide by The Empire's rules, you're still every chance of falling foul of them anyway. It made me think of US cops. Forever people have contended that if you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to fear from cops. Forever people have contended that if you simply comply with police you'll be fine. Now that everyone's walking around with a video camera in their pockets, however, everyone's slowly coming to realise that doing nothing wrong, complying, not being armed, having your hands up, etc. is no guarantee that your rights won't be violated, that you won't be beaten, wrongfully imprisoned, or killed. Like the troopers in Star Wars, US police officers have been given almost free reign to do whatever they want to citizens because even in cases where it's crystal clear that an officer has violated someone's rights and/or broken the law, the system and the people within it still rarely hold them accountable in any meaningful way.
Anyway, another good reaction to another good episode. Keep 'em coming guys!
I am not sure about Syril. This behaviour does not seem in line with his usual self and i think he had a little smirk on his face in the last shot after he watched Meero leaving.
He does not strike me as someone who would grab an ISB officer just like that. For no reason.
Could be wrong, more a gut feeling.
My current theory re: Dedra is that she'll get stabbed in the back by her new "assistant" and be stuck in a bad position similar to Syril's where she will want to clear her name to get back into the good graces of the ISB. Major Partagaz may even do it himself, though he was the one who warned her. She'll be somehow forced into working with Syril by the ISB. I'm not quite sure yet if Syril is trying to manipulate Dedra or if he is just a stalker with some significant personality disordering due to his domineering mother and too much time in CorpSec. It was a seriously creepy and uncomfortable scene. Good job on the writers as it was supposed to feel that way.
@@hunterpdx7061 I think she'll use Cyril as her assistant because he'd never stab her in the back due to his "devotion" to her... (Even if it is Icky 😛)
Yeah, Space CIA casually talking about staging a car accident haha
"Thinking of the group". That actually reminds me of the conversation between Luthen and Saw in the pervious episode. Luthen was trying to convince Saw to work with others because none of them are going to survive the Empire on their own.
Exactly. There's nothing in the writing of this show that doesn't have a purpose. It's echoes and themes ("Nobody's listening!" from R1) and sometimes very subtle. That's what makes it great.
4:03 I love that you noticed that call back🏆 No one else that I’ve watched (so far) has
I know how easy it is to do major damage without a massive accident. I just tripped in my front yard, smashed my left shoulder and my left foot. I am 4 months in and I am delighted with my shoulder, which they said could be 4 - 12 months with the damage I had done. Hang in there Jaby, thinking of you. Loved the episode and of course I am always proud to be a Gilroy after it!
I'm so glad I am not the only one that who recognizes the kink play between Meero & Karn. LOL When she threatened him with punish me and he looked pleased I was like alright someone wants their needs met. lol. Bu this show is amazing. The slow burn is not too slow (like RoP), and almost each episode stresses everyone the hell out.
Lol on the first look I didn’t catch it.. but they highlighted it and it made more sense.. this team is acting the floor with other projects
This relationship is more believable than Padme and Anakin.
I kinda ship them. Really don't mind if I saw a romantic imperial relationship😂
@@jackhilton4285 Bro you just know they're both turned on everytime they mention Justice and order to each other
@@m.e.3862 do you imagine mirroring the brief scene with Bix and Timm on the first episode? A "talking in the bed" episode with those two??
Vel doesn't have to pretend that she's a spoiled rich girl. She just has to convince everyone that that's all she is.
It's why she called Cinta cruel for saying that her cover was a spoiled rich girl.
I think that's why they ask you where you are from before they put you on the ship. Probably has to do something with some system to prevent overlaps likes this.
9:52 Syril Karn: This is, excuse me, A DAMN FINE BOWL OF CEREAL!
I've missed really good shows that take their time with the story. It's so good
Andy Serkis's angry face just gives me the shivers...
That rebel pilot works for the guy Luthan wanted to hook up with Saw.
Yup, and it vindicated Saw's insistence on working independently. Kreeygr's cell seems sloppier and any of them when captured would've given away Saw's position (via torture).
I'm just watching Steez' face the whole time. She is so stressed, this show has her in the mix! Love it ^_^
Steph’s face during Syril’s scene 😂😂😂
13:13. Steph, don't cringe. This is exactly what I say to you through my screen every Andor episode. 😍🤣
I love theorising, what will happen. Anyone planning to watch the whole serie at once misses this.
For me this was one of the best episodes so far.
Is it only me thinking the recording used for torture is not simply kids screaming? More like some kind of telepathy, specific sound causing unusual effect in the brain? All monitoring officer just shaking below a ship's bridge isn't just hearing cruelity. You wont scream in agony and loose ability to speak hearing cruelity, no matter how heartbreaking it is.
Don't forget this universe had it's unique ways, like Saw Gerrera's mind sucking creature in Rogue One. And if such things present then the Empire will use it.
I have also realised Bix was as much as loose end as Andor. She saw Luthen mutliple times. The only difference is Andor saw his ship, which Luthen even mentioned.
Still there were no order to "neutralize" her. So i was thinking about this, i presume someone saying "old man in robes" isn't too helpful, but if a specific, not common ship type is named
that's easier to find. Also Andor is connected to a bigger terrorist attack, so treated as a bigger fish by ISB, bigger attention, so more reason to neutralize him I suppose.
However if they know approx. when "Axis" was visiting Bix they could check the logs for ships coming and leaving from/to the planet every time.
To counter this Luthen might have used a device to cloak his ship to not send any ID and sneaked in, or even mimiced a fake ID to trasmit, different each time. I'm sure however while traffic is thousands and thousand times bigger at Coruscant still I presume the level of security is the best there, so he might weren't able to use fake ID nor simply sneak in there.
The tension at the prison was portraited so well, slowly increasing and making us wait.... So good. It's unlogical for me to reprison inmates at the same place then kill all who realised this, I'm pretty sure they fckd up, here they just lie, those to be released are to be taken to another prison where everyone is aware they won't ever gets released, and treated all the time knowing they will try anything. (this is why they fried level 2, not just shocked them dozen times to threaten)
Also it's irrelevant if they overcome some guards. They are on an artificial island, no transport.
The director can definitely initiate lockdown protocol, disabling guard codes, closing all.
They need to capture the commander, even then the only transport is those bringing new inmates, even replacement for Ulaf, who got ill and senitised ending him.
Maybe they will just time it well, still if they attack when new ones bought in the transport is long gone, they need to lure the guards just before that. One thing is sure: 1500 prisoners, sorry now 1400 cant esc... Wait a minute! If 100 were fried then with Ulaf the Empire need to transport 101 new prisoners! Minimum 5 transport shuttle! Or something bigger.
Vel being the cousin of Mon was a 9 out of 10 level of suprise for me.
However that scene where Karn walked to Lt. Meero was 11 out of 10. The actors acting was simply perfect. I felt even some sparks despite how awkward the situation was, how bad he flopped and how shocked she was. He admires her, and pretty sure not many try to get close to Lt Meero.... I understand this was stalking for normal people. But for two such strange characters, it might be the first step.
Also some mentioned this time the Senate wasn't so empty. In my parliament when they discuss something specific, only preparing a report/law or something there are only a few present. When there is a general session especially with voting then everyone is there. I'm pretty sure those who turned down their lights were supporters of the act and the Emperor, while many not yet convinced were still open to hear Mon Monthma's argument.
Many blames Mon Monthma's husband that he is just a jerk. But think about it how many of you knows someone who is bored by politics? Or don't want to talk about suffering and starving people 24/7. Not saying he can't be a total asshole, but we can't be sure, yet. And since this side of him is an obsticle to her it is shown. We can't know yet if he's got other sides too.
By the way I'm curious what a low life criminal thug want to ask from Mon for 400k. I imagine him like Jabba the Hut. To support and vote for something? To delay something? Hmm.
Also wonder about the leaked rebel attack arc. Maybe Luthen or even Andor sister gets involved?
Superb script, talented actors, great set, good directing. So good.
Now I'm heading to the movie sites to give another 10 for this episode. Our feedbacks, ratings are crucial to support such shows, and takes 1 minute to visit the two biggest. :)
P. S. Craziest idea 1: Ulaf faked his illness, part of the plan (not likely)
Crasiest idea 2: the thug who has money (400k) is a wealthy Chandrian. Future center of the Republic. What if he wants to fight the Empire and by the way he wants a bride, wife for his SON.... Da Da aaaaa Yep Mon's daughter. Shakalakakaaa For the Republic, honey.
Craziest idea 3: a Rebel cell is planning to free the prisoners. Good for morale, to send message, to recruit. All nice and dandy... Until
We see Vel with them, and in the chaos she raises her gun... Aims.... Episode ends. Goddamit you can't end it here! :)
Good point by Steph on Cassian showing leadership 🌟
OMG, THANK you for your reactions to Syril Karn's ... uhh ... yeah.
"Gravity, thou art a heartless bitch."
- Jaby, probably.
So here’s a theory of mine:
(1) The series is about the birth of rebellion & how its pieces come together.
(2) We see where the funding originated from during the imperial payroll heist.
(3) I think we are going to see how the rebel alliance gets their army with the massive prison break.
(4) I believe many grateful prisoners will join the rebel alliance when Luthen Rael launches a massive rescue effort with the reluctant help of Saw Gerrera.
Just a theory but I would love if it becomes true. Not sure if it sounds plausible but I’d be interested to hear anyones thoughts.
Great reaction, this show is at a whole other level.
And yes, it can be said, Jaby Koay does his own stunts. LOL
“Nobody’s Listening!”
Andor Season 1 Episode 09
One of my favorite episodes of television ever. I never thought Star Wars, let alone Star Wars, would ever display The Empire in such a despicable manner like this….
Gaby get well soon and I wish I had a screen shot of your facial expression when Syril and Dedra were talking . BTW Bix didn't give up anything it was Paak who told Dedra about the six times that Bix meet with Luthen.
Bix told Dedra that Cassian had cash after the robbery. Paak wasn't aware of that, he left 12,000 credits with Bix to cover his debts.
Med tech: "I don't want to know his name"
Achara: "Why?"
Because he's had to watch so many inmates die; even indirectly responsible for their deaths (via mercy euthanasia), that it's too emotionally burdensome to learn their names and form even the slightest human connection with them. Better for his mental health to treat all dying inmates as simply a job.
This is also why when hostages are taken, negotiators frequently use the hostages' names while in communication with the kidnappers; every namedrop they hope will subtlely humanize the hostages more so that kidnappers are statistically less likely to kill them.
This episode puts it above House of the dragon for me. They somehow have me even more hyped for the breakout than for the heist. Because it's getting personal by the second. Trouble inside and Dedra on his tail when he eventually gets outside.
I had the same thought after that last scene. It was just perfect and i think im finally ready to put it above HOTD. Of course, i hope the last 3 episodes keep the streak and end spectacularly
This show has done nothing to put it above HOTD lmao. It looks amazing and the acting is fantastic but it's dragging it's feet. He's supposed to be this spy for the rebels with a reputation and hasn't even met K2SO yet. I'm okay with the show thusfar, but he really hasn't done shit besides the first heist
@@deuces_shoeless it's not just about him. This show is exploring the birth of the rebellion like nothing else in star wars. Of course he is not a rebel yet. That's the story this show is telling. There would be no story if he was already a rebel. And we would not care about his cause if we didn't see him slowly experience the brutality of the empire. What if house of the dragon skipped all of this setup and started with the dance of the dragons. If you thing hotd is better then so be it. But to Me, this is better. This show is not about when he meets K2SO4. He is the title character but he is not the focus right now because that's the story. He didn't want anything to do with the rebellion and this is his journey towards becoming a rebel.
@@deuces_shoeless Also, the pacing couldn't be any better. There is not a single thing I would remove or add.
@@deuces_shoeless Andor isn't supposed to even be a rebel yet. He's just a guy trying to survive day-by-day in a galaxy ruled by dictatorship. The rebellion itself is also too weak and too small to do any significant high stakes attacks on the Empire aside from that heist. This whole season is supposed to be a 'wake up call' to the galaxy as the rebellion finally gets itself out of the shadows and that it's time for neutral parties just looking out for themselves like Cassian has to pick a side.
There's definitely going to be a season 2, and I'm confident that by then, we'll finally see Cassian turning into the rebel spy he would become by the time of Rogue One.
Hope you get a fast recovery Jabi
I love Steph's reaction at 13:13. 🤣 Most other people (guys) I see, say something like oh he's just being really passionate about Andor or wanting to be in the ISB. No, dudes. Syril was straight up giving off a creepy stalker / serial killer vibes. 😆
This episode was 🔥🔥🔥
You all should do an Andor special that just covers the excellence on Mon's outfits
4:02 Great catch Jaby. You're 100% correct.
Does anyone else get a lot of "V For Vendetta" vibes from the scenes with the ISB meetings to plan their next moves? Lots of great scheming and "Big Brother" stuff going on, big fan of the writing there. People complain the show is slow and boring, and I kinda agree in part (I like the pacing just fine, lots of building and laying foundation is a good thing for me... but not a fan of how they jump around so much, its giving me whiplash -- but that may have been intentional to convey how hard it is for both sides: Imperial and Rebel, to keep up with what's going on), but the ISB stuff is by far the most interesting for me... but the prison stuff they're building up to now is a close second.
The arcs are in 3 episodes but 7 was a standalone one. So, 1-3, 4-6, 7, 8-10, 11-12.
I so wanted to watch a female reaction to the Syril-Dedra scene and I was not disappointed
14:00 OMG you think Deidra is into Cyril? On the rewatch I guess I can see that a bit!
I have a whole fan fiction story about them being written in my head 😂
She’s a top he’s a bottom and they’re into each other. They just don’t know it yet.
I think there is definately something going on there. The whole pull off the coat and cap and...phew...moment - I mean, if she really wanted him gone, he would be SO gone.
I think she kind of wants approval, she might not like Syril she might like his approval though. I can imagine her turning to him if she suffers a setback at work.
@@patkohler9695 which is kind of funny considering that Dedra views him as pathetic in their previous encounter.
Yo, Andor is soo good! 😮😁👍🏻
Dedra is doing it for me, seriously. Can I say that? LOL
It's all fun and games until she straps you to the torture headphones. LOL
@@enadegheeghaghe6369 Oh no please not the headphones😏
Dedra swiped left...hard.
12:22 I cant believe my ship actually came true like I legit was in shock with what Syril told her .....
I love that they’re showing the brutality of the Empire.
Next season I bet we get the ghorman massacre.
This brings an interesting questions: How do you distinguish between terrorist radicalization and justified rebellion? How do you distinguish between cultish or obsessive following vs fandom or patriotism or devotion? Is truth or righteousnesss a matter of perspective or can it be described objectively? Is extremism the only real enemy or is something insidious more threatening? What is a criminal or a villian vs a stand up/law abiding citizen or a hero?
Now we know why Vel's got nice jeans on while they're starving out in Aldhani.
This is so much better than all the force, Jedi, and lightsabre horseshit. This is proper character development and real, intense dialogue.
This show is fantastic!
I sence mon mothma will need an ally in the Senate. Take note that she started losing support from other senators leaving while she was explaining her concerns. I think senator Morgana will be her newest ally.
This show is absolutely amazing. Never did I expect this.
This is the best in terms of writing among all the series that came out this year. Every dialogue seems meticulously written!
i come for the reactions and stay for Achara Kirk....
Diabolical Oppression. The idea that “freedom” and “hope” is simply an idea planted in their heads to keep them working hard, only to be promoted to another level (no pun intended) of hell is the most insidious, well thought out form of slavery I’ve ever seen.
It's not well thought out at all it resulted in an immediate riot
@@Paul-vf2wl It was well thought out
It all fell apart because they fucked it up, they moved a prisoner to the same facility, just a different level, disrupting the façade of "you will leave eventually", obviously causing a riot, enslave a person and they'll riot whenever there's a weapon within their grasp and an exit within their reach
This show is amazing
13:47 That's the way SHE likes it. lol
Him and our dommy mommy are definitely made for each other. You'd be surprised how many people completely misinterpret her reaction, or maybe it is just bait.
What if Delvos Skeldon is Darth Maul.😳
Get well, Jaby! GREAT as always!
Jaby That's literally what the fuck I said at 13:34 🤣😂
It took a few repetitions before I realized that if 100 men were killed, that means that the room managers were killed along with the 49 men under their control. But each floor has seven rooms, so far more than 100 would be killed if the entire second floor was electrified, so the initial rumour may have been incorrect. I wonder how many were actually killed?
If we heard the sound that Bix heard we'd end up just like her haha it's torture!
Serkis owns this show
We're used to these shows, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, HoTD, etc, being 7-10 episodes so it's understandable for us to think by the third prison episode they'd be escaping. We have been conditioned to expect things to move that quickly cause of how short seasons are of these prestige shows. But with it being 12 episodes they could let that story percolate with a slow build which is great for story development and character investment. It also helps prevent things from feeling fast and cheap. Andor in and out of prison in 2 episodes? Even if we get a time jump it feels like a blip. But 4 prison episodes? It feels like what it is; 1/3 of the whole season was spent in there with a prison break story arc, substantial and slow burning.
Best thing about this show is the writers trolling common denominator fans... This show rewards intelligence not fans
This definitely has to be the best star wars content from the star wars universe up to date and i am including the movies from the sequels which were hit for nostalgic reasons more than anything else.
I friend asked me "doesn't the empire have a facial scanning app??" I told him they are assembling the Death Star nobody knows about it at this point.
The production crew also has the problem of trying to define the Star Wars universe according to the standards of the original movie (which in lore is 5 years after this episode). At the time of the movie facial scanning was not a technology to be considered. Even Syril's work screens show an asthetic that resembles the minimalistic computer readouts of the original movie.
@@donaldwatson7698 I honestly love the retro-futurist (which back in the way was their futurist) star wars and star trek aesthetic and love it even more when modern shows and movies keep true to it when making shit in the same in-universe time, even if today we have a more up-to-date view on futurism
Reactors need to stop expecting the prison break every episode
can you feel the tension, in the air right now
The old guy in this show is the guy that said who are you to batman from batman 1989 movie
The table worked the old man to death so they could get more information. Did you see the individuals looks at the old man?
The Medic reminded me of General Draven from Rouge One!!
The show creator said ep 7 was a standalone type ep and the next 3 ep arc was 8-10 and then the finale is the last two eps.
Furthermore Andor has no "Grinch Heart" he's just pragmatic, a survivalist
Game Changer Episode!
Andor is 🔥🔥🔥
Next week 50 guys will be fighting each other for 12 pairs of boots
so basicly once a prisoner gets released, they just put him on a other level? did i understand that correct?
yes
@@alexanderp7083 thats a horribel thing, but i dont know if it is all to smart. A worker that got a betrayal like that is probably not that productive anymore and likely to riot. Also didnt seem like the empire has a hard time to get new inmates
Presumably they have a seperate prison building where they sent the "released" prisoners. This avoids the other prisoners finding out that they are not getting out at the end of their sentences. This time someone screwed up and put the prisoner back into the main system.
@@Scharrer23 They mentioned there was a 'mistake'. So I assume they keep the prisoners in the system, but somewhere they can't let other people know. We did see multiple of these 'prisons'. But it seems there was a mistake and they put someone back into the same prison they were already in, causing chaos.
@@AChimpKnockinAbout that sounds about right :) But i still think this kind of trick the empire plays is kind of pointless (especally demotivating after the second floor), when they are treating them as slaves anyway. But im no expert on efectiv slavery ~.~
I'm a fan of Steph whew!
This is the only Star Wars show that made me actually hate, and fear the empire
Just "all right"? I was like loosing my ship during the end
best episode so far.
So hype! The search for Andor continues...!
If only the Empire could capture him and hold him in some high security facility for a few months, they might actually finally find him...guess face recognition only works when the plot demands it.
It's a big galaxy and nobody knows about the secret facilities building the Death Star.
*Universe
@@madphantom92 Galaxy* Though not sure what that's got to do with them not knowing they have already captured Andor. We just saw them use the same face recognition tech in Obi-Wan after all, right?
I mean we literally haven't seen facial recognition in star wars until after the Empire is defeated
@@Captianmex1C0 Obi-wan, Episode 3...20 minutes in...Numerous times during the Clone Wars...I think it's fairly well established that they use face recognition tech to hunt down wanted criminals.
Hey guys, luv the channel, hey Steph, how you doin? really enjoying this show and ur great reactions, getting a bit sick of the prison part of the show though..Bro, what happened ur arm, were u doin some stunt man or were u drunk🤕 by the wat Achara, Steph ur Daredevil reactions are a joy to watch
That dark girl is cinta, and she's on ferrix as she's watching andor's mom. Cinta is not badass, she is extremist. She killed that imperial officer on aldhani during the hiest when all he demanded was the release of a child. I thought the show was supposed to show that even in the rebellion hard choices were to be made and people sometimes lose their morals and tell themselves they are right just because they are in the rebellion.
I don't hate the ISB lady. She is badass, she is good at her job. It seems like just because people like their jobs we shouldn't like them.
I like mon mothma's husband. As far as I can see, his harmless comments not withstanding, he hasn't done anything bad, and he's mentioned to be a firebrand in his youth by mon mothma, and just superficially dismissing him out of hand just looking at his superficial behavior is superficial.
This corporate guard's uncle is being hinted at subtly. I feel like he is someone with a big position who may finally notice our guy and make him something big in the ISB.
I didn't understand what happened on level 2. A L4 guy was released and by mistake sent to L2? So he was supposed to be sent some other prison and therefore L2 was compromised because of that guy and they had to kill L2?
even if he was sent to another facility he would still talk in the new prison it doesn't make much sense the system only works because the prisoners have hope of being released. Even as a mistake the guards would understand that putting him on level 2 would be a disaster.
@@Paul-vf2wl Maybe the new facility has only prisioners who were released from their first imprisonment.
