I remember chillin' at my friends house about 3 years ago, jammin' some electric stuff, then all of the sudden my friend turned off the amps and blasted lateralus so loud, of course not knowing it, it was the best song I had ever heard in my life, and thus became my tool addiction, and god I have never stopped listening to them ever since.. So fucking good! I think we'd have a better world if everybody was listening to them!

Now, I have so much Tool to enjoy. Looks like I'll be enjoying Tool and Deftones for quite some time now.
3:00 - 3:30 really shows you how much focus Keenan puts into his vocalism. Absolutely masterful. From 1993-1997, his vocal peak, he was probably the best living male rock vocalist.

Danny is also very close to Justin, after his motorcycle accident Justin never left his side in the hospital. Both bonded, plus Danny and Maynard clash alot in writing and arranging. Justin is so creative he stops the fighting without saying a word..rather writes a riff or two and the four of them become Tool again. I think Adam is tired of Maynard, yet he is very close to him. Justin makes Adam feel young at heart. Maynard used to tease Justin alot like the boys in Metallica used to do with J. Newstead. Justin let it all roll off his back, earned Maynards trust, respect. Justin wrote about 70 percent of Lateralus, such a great album, he is also about 80 percent into this next one.

My cousin works with bands when booking venues and locations, he has been around many bands, he said Justin helped him once pick up a bunch of papers he dropped by mistake one time as the band was crossing from soundcheck to their cars to head back to the hotel. He helped him pick up his papers and smiled and chatted with ny cousin very kind and down to earth. He told me that he felt so blown away how Justin was so normal and kind. yet had a pressence about him that was so creativley powerful. really cool story

Tool has very much fulfilled that 'hole' that was left there by other music; they were that one thing I was looking for (I have since found other groups that have enlightened me further, I'll tell you about those if you're interested). I used to just download music, but since finding Tool, I've actually bought all their albums, and am working on a collection. There's so much more in the package than just the songs.

I managed to snag a single ticket to the Dallas show..so I'll be seeing them later this month. I'm so psyched..they sound fantastic live (in videos at least). My brother saw them last year and says it's the best show he's ever been to..I get chills just thinking about the upcoming show. This and Prison Sex are amongst my favorites by them.

I was at this show. It was a slam dunk by Tool over Primus who was the headliner. Even though I love Primus, but Tool is no act to follow by any band.
