That first track. When I was first playing BL2 I was in my senior year of high school. I never had time at the end of the day to play video games and I knew that if I took the time late at night to play then I would likely end up playing all night losing hours of sleep that I would've needed to get me through the day. And if I did that, I would have failed my senior year. I just know I would've failed. So what I did instead was I played before school. See, my dad had to get my brother to work, then drive me to school, then himself to work. So we'd be up at about 4:50 or 5am just to start getting ready. I usually had something between 10 and 20 or so minutes after getting ready before we headed out the door. That time was dedicated either to playing Borderlands 2 or The Outer Worlds. That ye-15 minutes of game time, it wasn't much, but it was mine. And it got my mental state through my remainder of high school. So anyway, thank you for this. Appreciate it.
That’s awesome. Borderlands 2 definitely stole many hours of my life that I should have spent doing homework. Shit kept me entertained through middle school and high school.

Everyone hypes on this game for the battle music in the areas and bosses and yeah it kicks some serious arse for sure. But what really gripped me and still has me coming back is the amazing ambient tracks, there's just something relaxing about them even in the most harsh of locations. Really appreciate this mix!
Jesper Kyd is the one who wrote most of the ambient tracks. Raison Varner and Sascha Dikiciyan composed the battle tracks. Jesper really understands how to compose music to create atmosphere and it's not a surprise that he has over 70 games with his name in the music credits.
Ah this takes me back to when the game first came out, I was a young teen and my dad got it for me and my brother, my brother didn’t like it so we never played much, but me and my dad played countless characters together. Spent hours upon hours farming for legendaries together, we stayed up to date on all the dlc releases and set aside time to play them, and found every weird little thing there was to find. Very good memories
As a disabled person this series and soundtrack helps me going through dark moments. just takes me to the most comfiest place ever and means so much, i hope borderlands 4 nails it with these atmospheres. Can't wait to be here to try it, meanwhile i will be replaying all titles religiously.

I felt like an actual person in an actual place not just in a game. If you experienced it good for you and know what am I talking about. If you didn’t… you didn’t…
So glad I randomly stumbled upon this, used to play bl2 with my brother alot when we were in highschool got op levels and everything sadly he passed away this brought back some great memories. 👼🏼♥
I'm on my way to master Borderlands all over again for my mom. She's alive and well, but this is one of her favorite game series and I want to use that to bond with her. This has been a great journey listening to this each night to help keep my grind going hard and strong. Hope to someday meet some of you one day on Pandora

I really grew up with Borderlands 1 and 2, I'll probably never be able to play Borderlands 3 or the Tiny tina spin off, but Borderlands 2 is a game that I would keep playing and find enjoyment even if I've gone through the same 4 playthroughs.
The soundtrack of this game is just greatly underapriciated. I had this music in my playlists for over 10 years and even put it on a usb stick to listen top it in my car at some points. I will never get tired of this game man

Borderlands 2 along side Witcher 3 and Division 2 are the most amazing games I have ever played in my life.Borderlands 2 and his DLC's have suchban amazing vibe to them that you can't find any Borderland title. It seems that the real talented devs are pretty scarce nowadays since the legendary devs that made Borderlamd 2,Battlefield 3 and 4,the Witcher 3 wild Hunt, Daying Light 1,etc,are pretty much retired from the business.Look at the disaster BF 2024 was or Dying light 2 and even Borderlands 3,they lack of soul and attention to details.This video make me remember the good old days of farming and having priceless times with my friends😳
back in 2014, i use to visit my dad every two weeks on weekends and would be excited to play borderlands 2 and anytime i showed him i got a legendary he'd pat me on my back, that would be enough for me to enjoy my time while i was away from my mom, time passes and yeah, like any other father who games, im left with memories and knowledge of the game while also knowing how skill trees work and taking it upon my self to learn about prefixes for weapons. i miss my first playthrough with this game, and the second and the third, after a while its the same cycle, i play borderlands 3 now, my father never really played all that much so i was on my own with my brother, but of course he stopped playing it, i love this franchise, still play it today and i will never stop playing.
Starting at about 9:23 is some of the best ambient music in any video game ever. I don't know exactly where that particular song ends as I haven't listened that far yet. I could listen to that all day almost. It just takes you back to when you were having a blast playing it.

One of the best things about BL2 IMO was that the background music was so chill. I dunno but it helped me stay focused yet relaxed at the same time, like being on a trail hike back in southern MO or something. The whole music experience in the game is just so spot on.

This is absolutely perfect. I have never been able to find good Borderlands ambience, it's all too chaotic and noisy. Thank you for making this. Though my husband reckons claptrap beatboxing in the background would have made it. 😂
The franchise had had it's ups and downs, but god damn it I'd be lying if I said this wasn't one of the greatest trilogy of games I've played. Not including bl3 ironically, don't hate it, it's just 3 deviated away from what made these games so damn good. It's that space age, mad max, cyberpunk aesthetic and it's morbidly funny characters that made it's story and environment so damn good. Those first 3 games balanced it's outrageous comedy with it's honestly brutal and harrowing story beats almost perfectly. To this day, Borderlands 1,2 and tps are probably the only games I would recommend to anyone regardless of genre preference.
Don't forget Tales. Took me a long time to make myself play it because of the radical differences, but wow, when I did it was really, really fun! BL3...meh except for the DLCs.
Absolutely agree. It's weird because it is indeed inspired from other franchises, yet somehow manages to be so unique that nothing really comes close to it. The thing that makes me a bit sad is that it's very unlikely to see something more akin to BL1 and BL2 as they're clearly prioritizing a different direction. But when you look back, BL1 had basically none of that and BL2 had subtle references which weren't part of the plot. I don't even hate BL3 and I still find it ridiculous that they thought having the main villains be livestreamers would be a good idea...

I remember trying to play BL2 at launch on my old Geforce 7300 SE, 2006 graphics card with 256mb ddr2, it was a horrible experience, the game was at 5fps at 640x480 resolution however, I didn't know BL1, so I tried to play, and it was one of the best loot and shooter games I've ever played. In the same year I got a GT 210 and finally got to play BL2 and it in my opinion surpassed BL1 in all aspects, BL2 is a game that I have a lot of affection and listening to these songs brings me a lot of nostalgia.
Little story time; I have never played much BL2. I bought in in summer of 2015 (when I was 15 years old) and played it for a while, up until I arrived in Sanctuary. Yeah, literally just played the "prologue" area of the game. All of my playtime after that was spent doing New Games with all of the 4 different characters, simply because I wanted to get a feel for them, though I always leaned more into Axton or Zer0. I had the game for 8 years now and I only have 34 hours of playtime, but I will always have fond memories of this game, even though I only experienced the starting zone and a little of what comes next. I was still in my antisocial nerd phase, I had just received a weak gaming laptop as a birthday gift and BL2 was the first game I bought on Steam. The music, sound effects, and certain psycho voicelines were engraved into my mind. Quirky game. Rn I am installing BL1, so I can experience this franchise's greatness from the start.

Little story time; I have never played much BL2. I bought in in summer of 2015 (when I was 15 years old) and played it for a while, up until I arrived in Sanctuary. Yeah, literally just played the "prologue" area of the game. All of my playtime after that was spent doing New Games with all of the 4 different characters, simply because I wanted to get a feel for them, though I always leaned more into Axton or Zer0. I had the game for 8 years now and I only have 34 hours of playtime, but I will always have fond memories of this game, even though I only experienced the starting zone and a little of what comes next. I was still in my antisocial nerd phase, I had just received a weak gaming laptop as a birthday gift and BL2 was the first game I bought on Steam. The music, sound effects, and certain psycho voicelines were engraved into my mind. Quirky game.
Rn I am installing BL1, so I can experience this franchise's greatness from the start.

was completely different part in my life back then. was my trio=borderlands 2, skyrim and dishonored for those times... can throw far cry 3 cause i spent many many many hours in those games.
