Instax being made in mini and wide format is a direct result of a lawsuit between Polaroid (plantif) and Fujifilm and Kodak (defendants) in the early '90-s, so I highly doubt they would ever do such thing.

Great review. Currently have the instax 11 but been wanting something with bluetooth. Stuck between instax mini evo vs Polaroid OneStep+ i‑Type Instant Camera vs Polaroid Now+ i‑Type Instant camera, not sure where to head. Which has the better picture quality, etc?
the evo definitely, the polaroid is more for retro looks. I personally feel like fujifilm photo qualities are way better in comparison to the polaroid ones (not to mention cheaper too)

From what I have seen. Both are not perfect cameras. Myself I think the Polaroid Now is the better choice at the price range. Based on the fact both cameras are kind of average in what they produce, I would go with the Go purely because I think it is closer to a traditional instant camera result. Instax are clearer but seem dark and almost like cheap digital in their output.
I find it interesting that so many people (probably those that never shot original Polaroid) knock instax film for being too accurate or real life when the instax film is actually closer in look to the original Polaroid’s film vs impossible project/new Polaroid. This “vintage” look is technically a “flaw” as Polaroid today is still working on improving it’s formula.

this is a really old comment, but if you ever cross over this reply can you tell me which one you took? cuz i’m also torn between the mini 40, go, and now. the gen 2 version of the polaroids however.

@@Mafaldaianhez yeah i ended up going for the mini 40 as well. due to cheaper film but mostly because polaroids develop in 10-15 min while instax develop in less than 90 seconds. huge plus for me even tho i lowkey still want the adorable go, its not as practical
I bought a polaroid go, sometimes when taking a photo it wouldn't click.. is this normal?
I heard in a video that this might happen if your finger is covering the light sensor, so the camera won't shoot even if it's a little bit covered. I hope this helps!

All these people miss the one thing Polaroid cameras do well at. It’s making old school style pictures.

from my experience. polaroid makes better cameras. but the instax film is better

10-15 minutes to fully develop???!!! Holy shit that’s very long
That's because they had to reinvent to development chemicals back in 2008. The Impossible Project bought the last film plant standing before it was demo'd, and no one has the recipe for the film. Look up The Impossible Film, it was absolutely terrible. By the time TIP bought the Polaroid name they developed this latest formula. They also discontinued the Spectra film in order to retool it for the Go film line.
INSTAX FILM IS TILL BETTER THAN POLAROID FOR VIBRANCY, I WISH POLAROID WOULD PARTNER WITH FUJI TO MAKE A FILM THE IS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!!
