Yes. It is absolutely great for college football. That type of greatness inspires improvement in the other major programs. And it makes it even more dramatic when someone defeats Bama.
yes, it's great for the sport. They have raised the bar and if you can't get to that bar then you go home. Everyone knows if you want to be the champ...you have to beat the champ. #Raiseyourgame.
Alabama's dominance over the last decade fosters improvement and puts a heavier emphasis on recruiting better, more capable prospects to less prestigious teams in order to become more competitive and successful against the perceived superior college teams. Not only does it make for more excitement among smaller teams, but when those smaller teams finally do improve due to better talent acquired and proper coaching, they have a chance to pull off a dramatic win over an ACC, SEC, Big 10, Pac 12, or Big 12 team.
Of course it’s better. You’re watching something that will echo in amateur sports eternity. This isn’t being given to them. They are taking it. It doesn’t matter how many rules you change to counter Saban’s style or how you change the way championships are decided, Saban is still going to win at Alabama with no end in sight.
Try being a UGA and Falcons fan and you will really know what heartbreak is. You deserve the win, but it's nice to see somebody doesn't take it for granted.
Tua Tagovailoa - the sky is the limit for this kid. He is very talented, has a high QB/football intelligence... if you thought Alabama was scary thus far, now they have an outstanding slinger.
4 yrs later what do we know. 3-2 in games that mattered. Owns 3rd worst bowl loss in 70 bowls. Got owned 11 mths later in SEC champ to the point he had to be replaced. Tua vs Burrows in college. 14 pts off of Tua. In NFL, Burrow is owning Tua.
played against Tua in high school. Kid beat me multiple times and played for my rival so there will always be that between us. the dude is special only kid i know who can carry a football team to a title. he’s got IT
I think there is a difference. Belichick makes a average player great. He is the greatest ever. Nick saban is also great, but he always has the luxury of having best roster. Nick will be average in NFL, where talents are more or less equelly distributed among teams.
Well this year that was put to the test. Think about all of the injuries we had on defense. This was one of his best coaching years, because he had to go into depth. Sure he has some high quality freshman but still are freshman.
Jalen Hurts is a STAR.....he is 1 of few kids who will succeed because of such HUMBLENESS and Team player. He should continue and finish his career in BAMA! even if it means COACHING QB's, he is excellent at that too!...Kudos to you...Jalen Hurts, you are the meaning of a TRUE champion....keep on keeping on!
Yes, and here is why? being humble is NOT thinking less of yourself. It's thinking of yourself-less! In simple terms, the greatest leaders ever lived were selfless, they were more concerned about the well being of others or in this case "team" than their titles.
take your blinders off " Samuel Lanham " regardless of FG made or NOT.....Tau is and will be the starter.....if not at Bama most certainly without a doubt in any College team.......Tau is a rare talent, they come around 1's or twice in a generation....he is all that and a bag of chips!
What's interesting is what Nick says about Alabama dominance and how he doesn't like it , another person could say the same about LeBron. Someone he defends and worships religiously
cacable7 Maybe so but you still got to win the big game. Luck happens to players and teams all the time. A lucky bounce here, a beneficial call there etc.
Charles Cooks They certainly can be. Even none calls can be lucky. If a ref doesn't see a foul, then a player is either on the lucky side or unlucky side. Not every foul or non call is the ref just being a evil person. It's a matter of perspective I guess
No, he's the luckiest most overrated coach in history. 31 SEC championships. Every team that played for a NC had to go through that game except 2. Both Saban's. What if he gets to avoid the 2021 SEC championship, Metchie plays in the NC game and most definitely would have help Bama past all those stalled drives. 2001 TN. If they get to avoid the SEC champ, they play Miami for the NC. 2009 FL. If they get to .........TX......... Saban, the luckiest most overrated coach in history.
FINALLY!! Bama has the MODERN, gun-slinging QB they've been longing for for decades. A true, top-notch guy. How many times I've said to myself, "We're stomping this team, but I'd like to have _their_ QB." Roll out the crimson carpet for this guy and don't run him off by inserting Hurts back in there. Putting Hurts back in as starter would be the biggest blunder in Bama history. After two seasons and almost ONE MORE blown NC, he's proven he CAN'T THROW THE BALL DOWNFIELD!!!
This was the MOST impressive championship win by Alabama yet. Georgia was beating them at their own game in the first half and then Saban and company completely changed their own ways and the script. Hard not to say Roolllll Tide this morning if you are a fan of football period. Talked about this on my channel today.
Sports with Nick I would say it is the most impressive 'coaching' in one of their championship games. They have had some outstanding wins in title games.
Auburn and Clemson Both are 6 * programs. Also Ohio State (gag gag retch gag) and Oklahoma (projectile vomiting) but I think Georgia is the next team to step up.
There was no other vertical. He got caught looking too hard in the back field and not on his assignment. Only one man went deep on that side and he went untouched. Somehow the corner played off and still got burned.
As a player its great for me because now coaches realize you can't have that 1 guy and try to ride them all season. You have to be sound at EVERY position on the field. Though if you stop looking at who has the ball in their hands or the ones knocking it out the air you'd see where Alabama puts all its stock. ln the offensive and defensive LlNEMAN. l've been preaching it for years that even in college, where the difference between talent in the skill positions are higher, Most of the game is played in the trenches. Watching Payne play last night for Alabama sent chills down my spine. The only thing l could yell at my friends were "HE A GROWN MAN!!!"
What they keep failing to acknowledge is that Nick Saban is a master at “DEVELOPING “ players! He has a system where a three star athlete will graduate or declare for the draft with 5 star skill! Look at Marcel Dareus! He was only a 3 star! Nick Saban red shirt him and turned the guy into a monster! Bottom line, having all the best players means nothing if you can’t develop them into playing at a championship level!
A single Alabama team: no. Maybe if you pick an "All-Alabama" team of players drafted since 2010. OJ Howard, Amari Cooper, Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry on offense, not even talking about the defense you could build: Marlon Humphrey, Minkah Fitzpatrick, CJ Mosley, Marcell Dareus, Donta Hightower, Reuben Foster, Jonathan Allen, A'Shawn Robinson etc.
How u just gone down that man like he ain’t take us to the championship last year . He’s the reason why we even got to the championship this year . He just chose to play horrible at the wrong time. I don’t think he’s the weak link . But that freshman is dynamic though I liked that performance from him
Travis Nix Hurts can't throw down field. The main function of a QB is to throw. Once they faced a defense with the ability to stop his runs, Hurts was useless lol he was certainly holding them back against Georgia.
Matt Centeno well that’s true but I can’t knock what all good he’s done. We can tell him bye nicely. Cause I like the freshman but I kinda like jalen too . It’s messed up to say he’s the weak link
He was most definitely the weak link. In fact, he was the only weak link. He is not a quarterback, and he never will be. Tua? Now that's a quarterback.
Looking back now, Tua never improved. He had all the upside I've ever seen but was the same guy as a freshman as he was as a junior. Tua ended up not having that "IT" factor. Would disappear in big games. Great QB. no doubt, but never was a big game guy. Mac Jones was the the truth.
@11:00-12 you see there to kinds of ppl, one that’s happy to see others success, and 1 that’s unhappy and wants to see the world burn around them... Roll Tide!
Alabama is the standard, under Saban, that all of college football strives to reach. There are many good and great college football teams in this country that will never compete at or near the level of Alabama, but can be competitive, such as Georgia.
And Jake Fromm was going to Alabama until they signed Tagovailoa. He then went to Georgia. Kiffin said that Jake Fromm was the best QB they had seen. Could throw, read the D, natural leader, coachable, everything you want in a 5 star QB. Then they saw Tua. He blew them away and they signed him.
The changes to college football aren't that great for normal people like me at schools trying to reach the power 5. Back before Tom Herman left my school when we looked legit for a few seasons, they raised tuition. They probably would have done this anyway like most schools do, but I feel like keeping Herman and raising the athletics budget was part of it too. I like college football, but not that much!
Everybody trying to act like they knew Tua was the truth now. Please just stop it. Only Saban knew what he had. Commentators like CC are a freaking trip. If they knew Tua was good, they would have been talking about him and saying he should be playing, get the bleep out of here. Stop trying to ride Sabans genius , you and are not about that life.
J B some people don't realize how much money the football program makes and what an impact it has on the school. Alabama has grown leaps and bounds because of the success of this team.
Nick Wright is meant to be a professional sports reporter but cant ever separate himself from being a supporter/fan of a team or player. Lift your game Nick the job you have is Reporter not Supporter.
southofglory huh .. You go jus like when the U had all those NFL players(Sean Taylor, Clinton Portis, etcc..) to play with the best and to see how good you are
Nick makes no sense....if LeBron's heat could've lived up to not 4,5,6,7 comment he wouldn't be saying this dumb stuff now smh dominance is bad in sports just a dumb statement
I was not going to say anything until Chris Carter says Urban Meyer would have made that move. Sorry that is absolutely not true. Hurts has accomplished more than Barrett in two years at Alabama. Two Championship appearances and had Watson had not had the ball last he wins that. Barrett has consistently shown he can't regularly beat good teams and Urban who has NFL talent behind him, sticks with an average college QB in Barrett.
Alabama been there before they know what it takes to win they championship they will pick you apart if you can't finish them off 🍸🍾 #Alabama# my champions
I think Saban's dominance is similar to Tom Brady's dominance. The majority takes their dominance for granted. That's why stories that are great are the ones where the main character has a problem/obstacle and not the story that consists of " a typical rich kid that is happy where he's at, feels that he is worthy of everything given to him, is nice and gracious, and his whole life was told where he lived there was a specific town team that would always win. When he finally becomes a quarterback, team captain, dating the head cheerleader, finally win the state championship! " 😴 No obstacles whatsoever! ...boring! YAaAAaaawn!
Anybody can mess up under pressure it’s called defensive schemes what if Tua have a bad game like Hurts things can happens everybody has there moment. Hurts shouldn’t leave anybody can get injured on any giving play so win together it’s doesn’t matter who starts it’s who can finish but everyone has something to offer
Patrick Martin blocked punt inside the 20 not called back on a phantom offsides and there’s no OT. Facemask immediately after and personal foul when Fromm got his head shoved while on the ground there may be no OT.
TPChris Yeah and it wasn’t a phantom offside, he jumped. Plus, how do you know if it would’ve been a TD, what if an alabama player strippped the ball pr recovered the ball.
I think it’s cute that UGA talks about national championship as though they know something. All they know is they always choke in the big game and Alabama owns them.
I understand and I am with Nick on this point. It will be better when the favorite or the same team winning all the time gets upset! If the 2007 Giants never upset the Patriots then it's too boring. If there's a dominance of one singular team, always winning, then after a while it'll be boring. Like in the NBA, there's a dominance in the East with Lebron James appearing in 7 straight Finals, might be 8 this season, however he only won 3 in that span! For his career, Lebron would hands down be considered the GOAT, over MJ! Easily!!! Unfortunately for him, that wasn't the outcome and now he's still great and one of the greatest imo. Even Steph Curry and the Warriors might go to their 4th consecutive finals, but luckily for us non-warrior fans, they didn't win all of them, thanks to Draymond. If it happens occasionally, then that's fine. Like the 80's with the 49ers, 70's with the Cowboys, Dolphins, and mainly the Steelers or the Patriots of the early 2000's winning 3 out of the 4 consecutive Super Bowls, then that's fine but can you imagine if the NE Patriots went to even more Super Bowls than they've already been to and won all of them? That'll be great for the fans and the history for some players and coaches, like Tom Brady, Bill Bellicheck, even Randy Moss will have a better career because he would've had a super bowl ring!!! But as a normal sports fan, I think I got it from my dad, but I always root for the underdogs, hence why I was glad that the Eagles won! Finally!!! If it was the Patriots again...then why even watch the Super Bowl when you already know that the Patriots will probably be in it and if they are, then most likely they would win. AND THATS EXACTLY LIKE THE NCAA! Any college sports are the same where I wouldn't want the one team to only win! Although I am a hypocrite because I am a Duke Blue Devils fan in basketball of course. I would argue though with when they win, it's not like every other year or every other 5, 7 years! Not including the most recent one, they would win every decade. Starting with Laettner and Grant Hill of the 90's, Jay Williams, Shane Battier of the 2000's, Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith of the 2010 championship and the most recent which totally backfires my "every decade" arguement lol. However, I feel like that's why people hate Duke, especially the players I know. That's why people hate or love the Yankees because they cheat the system and spends millions of dollars to get the best players, but thank GOD that although they spend all of that cash, that they haven't dominated recently! Although, right now, I'm getting excited to see them do well and get back to becoming the NEW YORK YANKEES!
Gotta add.. I don't watch pro sports much. ..they make their name in college.. And expect it to transfer. 60% of the time it works .if your really good
Chris , its Lane that allowed the Buckeyes to upset them in first playoff, its Lane who was let go B4 Title game ! Becauae Lane wants to have the Glory and praise !!! Lane Kiffin was the WORST THING BAMA EVER DID ......,, Cost Bama 1 Title. Because TCU WAS THE BEST IN COUNTRY IN FIRST PLAYOFF AND WE KNOW WHAT WISCONSIN DID.
This week Alabama is loaded with 5 star athletes but six weeks ago Alabama wasn't the best team and should not be in the playoffs. Shut up Chris please and the little weasel said the same thing
No Big 10 team should be allowed in the playoffs unless they have beaten an SEC team in the regular season. CFP bracket should be top 3 SEC teams plus best non Big 10 team.
How is putting in your top recruit freshman when you're already getting shut down offensively a gutsy move? It'd be a gutsy move to keep getting shut down with the same qb.
Saban and bama get a LOT of inside help, making this irrelevant. There is NO WAY they were eligible in 2017. Everyone in the country knew that. What is bad for college football is corruption.
Do you think Alabama's dominance is good for college football?
No, it's boring. No need to watch the same ending over and over again.
Yes. It is absolutely great for college football. That type of greatness inspires improvement in the other major programs. And it makes it even more dramatic when someone defeats Bama.

The state of Georgia will be buried in a casket along with that cameraman who got trucked during the winning celebration.
Dilly Dilly
dilly dillly
Dilly Dilly
If you bury the state of Georgia where are you gonna come get your players? Not Alabama!!! Lmao
Between the Braves, Falcons and UGA, how Georgia teams choke at the biggest times in unbelievable.
It’s hard for us polys to make a move that far. But it does go to testify that Saban and Alabama Program can make a huge impact in us islanders.
as alabama fans we are so spoiled i almost threw a tantrum at halftime🏆
I know I did. We needed Tua
Try being a UGA and Falcons fan and you will really know what heartbreak is. You deserve the win, but it's nice to see somebody doesn't take it for granted.
Aaron Andrews i want the falcons vs saints in the nfc championship
Might be as good of a game as the one we saw last night. Just hope it would fall in our favor for once. lol
Aaron Andrews
Im an Alabama and Eagles fan, so i know what heartbreak is, but i get spoiled too.
Nick Wright looks like if Squidward and DJ Khaled had a baby

Ice Cream Truck yeah I see it
Ice Cream Truck 😂😂😂😂😂hell yea

Tua Tagovailoa - the sky is the limit for this kid. He is very talented, has a high QB/football intelligence... if you thought Alabama was scary thus far, now they have an outstanding slinger.
Michael Motes I know it's early and he's not done yet....He looks like Russell Wilson, the lefty version.
And he's an elite QB, they will be truly hard too beat for atleast 2 years+. Roll Tide Baby !
@@santoniaharris6045, Tua's brother enrolls at Bama this January.
Oh I know and phenomenal as well lol.
4 yrs later what do we know. 3-2 in games that mattered. Owns 3rd worst bowl loss in 70 bowls. Got owned 11 mths later in SEC champ to the point he had to be replaced. Tua vs Burrows in college. 14 pts off of Tua. In NFL, Burrow is owning Tua.

netterstyl AJ Mccarron was a great college quartback
Now we say that at the kicker position only
Efficiently...you mean
Never disrespect Hurts tho he is a class guy. I agree with Tua taking the helm but Hurts has done alot for BAMA
Cris Carter is getting so much better at this

Once it was 20-20 y’all knew it was over. No team in 4th quarter with Alabama can win that game.
Joshua shaver guess you didn’t watch the championship last year
Robert Thomas not everyone is a deshaun Watson either lmao
Robert Thomas Auburn will lol. Cam Newton, Kick six, two of the most gut wrenching comebacks ever

TUAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I can't believe I forgot about this game
Anybody remember the 3rd & 2 where Fromm or however you spell it missed his receiver high? That killed the game for Georgia to me
Bro wtf was that safety doing.. bruh
Cover 2 against 4 verticals he took the other vert route away.
There was no other vertical. He got caught looking too hard in the back field and not on his assignment. Only one man went deep on that side and he went untouched. Somehow the corner played off and still got burned.
Yet only one guy was vertical on that side. The safety didn't do his job regardless
If Sean Lee have play for Georgia bama would lose
Lmao skiuuuup
Thank you

Bama's run is good for sports period!
I’m not gonna lie. Sometimes. It look like Alabama can beat the Browns

ROLL TIDE NICK WRIGHT...BAMA 2017 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS...ROLL TIDE ALL THE WAY!!!

How's Mac Jones doing now?😂
Great video guys!
Chris Carter's delivery is as good as Tua's.... Really respect his analysis.
Watson beat Bama not Clemson. Clemson went right back to being Clemson after getting in this year.
Darren Dorsey 👌
One thing I'll disagree with Cris on, Coach Saban hasn't really used the I-Formation much. We have not had a great FullBack much, if at all.
@11:00-12 you see there to kinds of ppl, one that’s happy to see others success, and 1 that’s unhappy and wants to see the world burn around them... Roll Tide!

There’s forsure going to be a QB battle in the offseason cuz TUA looks ready to play next year
Now start hitting the Islands to find a kicker. RTR!
" Predicted he would win a heisman trophy." This saturday it looks like that may come true. Tua/Haskins/ or Kyler
My uncle said an Asian girl went to Howard and got into dental school easily.

Did Cris really just say moving to Alabama and going to the University of Alabama was “the best thing for his academics” 😂😂😂
Hiphopotomus They take academics pretty seriously over there compared to other colleges since they can easily replace failing players.
J B some people don't realize how much money the football program makes and what an impact it has on the school. Alabama has grown leaps and bounds because of the success of this team.
Hiphopotomus Yes are you deaf?
shooter4805 No but I do understand what a rhetorical question is unlike yourself
How can you be impressed by something but not like it? That's jealousy/hating.
Cris Carter knows football. Nick Wright probably locks his keys up in his car at least twice a week........
The only thing scarier than Bama’s comeback win last night , is Chris Carters eyebrows...
but no debt at kicker
Nick Wright is meant to be a professional sports reporter but cant ever separate himself from being a supporter/fan of a team or player. Lift your game Nick the job you have is Reporter not Supporter.

Is that a testament to Nick Saban or the program? What? Nick Saban IS the program! OF COURSE it is a testament to Saban. LOL!
If I was a top recruit in high school of never go to Alabama. You could be a 1st round pick that may never touch the field for 4 years? Nope.
that's what I'm saying, rather go to a team where i can play
southofglory huh .. You go jus like when the U had all those NFL players(Sean Taylor, Clinton Portis, etcc..) to play with the best and to see how good you are
southofglory if you are a top hs recruit your thought process is that you’re the best so you go to bama to prove it
KlayVon Boumjie Boumjie nah that's dumb, go to a school where you'll actually get playing time.
Jordan Dean you say it’s dumb but if you’re as good as you say you are you will play such as najae harris and tua
I HATE that uni in Austin.
Who is Cris Carter’s good friend Trent Dillford?
I hate when people compare tua to Marcus mariota and in don't like Marcus at all sorry I just dont
Lol.
Just assign celebrities to talk about Kendrick.
That's why Nick Saban is pulling down 11+ million a year at Alabama and the rest of college football head coaches are not.
Nick makes no sense....if LeBron's heat could've lived up to not 4,5,6,7 comment he wouldn't be saying this dumb stuff now smh dominance is bad in sports just a dumb statement
Crimson attraction.
That's why stories that are great are the ones where the main character has a problem/obstacle and not the story that consists of
" a typical rich kid that is happy where he's at, feels that he is worthy of everything given to him, is nice and gracious, and his whole life was told where he lived there was a specific town team that would always win. When he finally becomes a quarterback, team captain, dating the head cheerleader, finally win the state championship! "
😴 No obstacles whatsoever! ...boring!
Roll Tide!
"Because they beat bama" god he sounded like a crybaby 😂😂😂
Sounds about right
What about the women's UCONN basketball team. They had an epic run
it doesn't matter it was still a dynasty run...
2 missed field goals there's no OT...🤔
Patrick Martin blocked punt inside the 20 not called back on a phantom offsides and there’s no OT. Facemask immediately after and personal foul when Fromm got his head shoved while on the ground there may be no OT.
TPChris Got ‘em
TPChris
Georgia would have 7 points and Alabama would have ten, if they didn’t overthrow the TD.
Splop 007 those are skill plays in control of the players see the difference is everything against Georgia was controlled by the ref.
TPChris
Yeah and it wasn’t a phantom offside, he jumped. Plus, how do you know if it would’ve been a TD, what if an alabama player strippped the ball pr recovered the ball.
Y’all remember chris carter said it here, Jalen was gonna stay right where he’s at an become a better QB! Every body else, just spreading bs
Jalen Hurts, if you listen to Cris Carter, your a fool. Geeeetttttttttt Ouuuuuuttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it’s cute that UGA talks about national championship as though they know something. All they know is they always choke in the big game and Alabama owns them.
That one guys nose should play quarterback for Georgia
Sooo about you guys favorite team you always talk about until after last night coincidently
#ROLLTUA🐘
Bulls in Wendy's.
60% of the time it works .if your really good
Cris roasted nick
Historically Nak-listening without the hip-hop results.
Jalen Hurts overrated af
willemdee So is all the other qbs
Maurice Terrell your e exactly right jalen hurts benefits off that defense that's all.
if jalen hurts is in the nfl it will probably be as a wide reciever or running back
Eff Howard.
It's competing against the U of Alabama ballers.
Shut up Chris please and the little weasel said the same thing
rumpelstiltskin Need a tissue?
No Big 10 team should be allowed in the playoffs unless they have beaten an SEC team in the regular season. CFP bracket should be top 3 SEC teams plus best non Big 10 team.
Harvard status.
How is putting in your top recruit freshman when you're already getting shut down offensively a gutsy move? It'd be a gutsy move to keep getting shut down with the same qb.
Elliott Hoepf lmao
Straight up haters.
They missed a blown call with the late hit smh
insults to your experience n knowledge of the game to has a discussion w/ these 2
he switch quarterbacks cause he was desperate. not good coaching
Bama wins every year. Just like GS in the NBA I won't be watching. How does CC not understand Nick's point?
Do your research, Tua went to high school in Alabama.
Ian Stradian you might want to do your own research he went to high school in Honolulu..
Ian Stradian Grow a brain.
It's not Tuh-nguh, it's tuh-ngo-vuh-ee-lo-uh
Saban and bama get a LOT of inside help, making this irrelevant. There is NO WAY they were eligible in 2017. Everyone in the country knew that. What is bad for college football is corruption.
