Just precisely what I was looking for. No nonsense and no other crap, but just exactly what was needed. I just moved into this new house which came with a doorbell. The old owner left their nest camera and thermostat and doorbell. This video helped setting up the doorbell! Appreciate your help! Thank you very much!
There is no way we would have known about the top pinhole if it weren't for this video. The instructions make it sound like the bottom pinhole you use to remove the wedge from the wall and we have been pressing that for a long time with no success. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Me, too. I pressed and held the paper clip in the bottom hole, but no luck getting the doorbell off. I thought I needed to reset it according to the youtube video because it was offline with no way to access it from the app. Cutting off the power and reconnecting it helped it connect back to wi-fi. 😀
Me too. I’m keeping pressing the hole under the bell and it didn’t work. It’s hard to remove the door bell from the wall because the wire are too short and tight from the wall I’m afraid I’m going to break the wire. Who knows there is a small hole at the back of the bell until I saw this Video😂
You are the bomb! First video I ever watched were you explained taking your time and was very thorough. Thanks from a single woman out there who likes to be self sufficient.
I did this and it’s still not resetting. Help! When I hold the doorbell button and the pinhole button (the one on the rear top of the device) it’s still not chiming
Thanks for your video. My wired nest doorbell has stopped playing small videos when someone approaches the door and there are just stills in the library. Do you know what might have gone wrong here?
Thanks for this demo- worked like a charm & it was just that the green light was on, but the doorbell wasn't working or connecting to the wifi which is why I looked at this video
When resetting the Nest Doorbell Camera to Factory Default, you must press and hold the main doorbell button, then while holding the doorbell button, press the rest pinhole button and wait for the countdown chime to finish.
Followed pricely but NO yellow nor blue light appears. Green light is on. I unplugged device and unplugged router...what else can it be. Two years old. Do I mess with breaker???
@@magic49r I figured it out and now i was able to reset it. When you use the safety pin to press inside the little hole to reset it, don't press the doorbell button only press the reset button and hold it down for 10 seconds.
I am STILL unable to add this to my Nest app I had to factory reset and that didn’t help either. Initially had a wifi issue which is resolved. Also have a Google camera not connecting.
The Nest Door Bell and IQ Cameras can only be added to my (structure account - my existing account) by using the APP. I tried both iPhone and iPad with NO LUCK. After days of trying with no luck. I thought why not try to add them to a new (structure) account...........That worked. But I am already paying for the other (older) account that my 4 other cameras that are now working on and easily added to my new WIFI. The problem is I would like them ALL in the same account and the same viewing screen. Any suggestions?
To help reconnect my Nest doorbell to wi-fi, I had to go to the power source in the crawl space under my living room and disconnect & reconnect the power (2 small wires screwed into the 24V transformer). The doorbell reconnected to wi-fi by the time I crawled out and opened the app. 😅
This doesn't work! It still is tied to the old home owner account. It says it has to be removed from that account before I can set it up on my account. Fail!
I updated my WIFI. All cameras (4-NEST) able to reconnect. Still no luck with my Nest DOOR Bell. Looks like I can only add it with the APP. and not the home computer like the cameras. I have reset several times. Worked great with the old WiFi and new WIFI is told to be stronger and measuring it it is. Even tried connecting Door Bell to my home computer next to my WiFi and the same code comes up NC030. I used the scanning method NO LUCK and last time the 6 digit code on the back of the door bell. Sad that Nest support was GREAT before Google bought them. Now no one to TALK to.
NEST left us abandoned with the old model (this one) in a app loophole between them and google when they were aquired by the tech giant.... of course forgetting about users that had the doorbell... . NEVER EVER BUY NEST... dont fall on the trap
Thank you for this. It was short and to the point so I didn’t have to sit through five minutes to figure out what to do. Appreciate it.
Why can't other UA-camr can't demonstrate videos as you. Excellent job and the fav.

finally a good video. the nest instructions leave out the "press front button at same time" steps. the worst thing about Nest is GOOGLE

Excellent video! This is exactly what I was looking for. Very thorough in the span of less than 5 minutes. Well done!
THANK YOU!! Help desk couldn't help but your video gave me what I needed!! Excellent!!!!!
What if the countdown complete chime never happens?
This video is very helpful. Thank you very much!
Glad it was helpful! I appreciate you!

Worked like a charm. Thanks for your help!

Helped me a lot. Recently changed my wife network. My kids use this to talk to me when I am out.
Thank you, we just moved into a home that has this & your video explains it perfectly. Thank you
I just tried to reset, am I suppose to use pin for a few seconds? I do not want to factory reset
Thank you very self explanatory
Thank you. Mine was offline. This helped.
What happens if it didn't chime or light up? Does it need to be recharge? How do I do it?
Any idea if doing this will reset the 'faces' Ive defined as part of Nest Aware? Thanks
Thanks so much for this instructional video!
Thanks a million. Very well explained.
Great demonstration if the process
Thank you
Great video. Very clear
Followed pricely but NO yellow nor blue light appears. Green light is on. I unplugged device and unplugged router...what else can it be. Two years old. Do I mess with breaker???
If I have to do this every few months, is my doorbell broken?
Thank you worked perfectly!
What if there's no pinhole, can you use a screwdriver to open it
Thank you! Very helpful
I tried this and it still saying it is attached to another account.
Same here. I called Google and there is nothing they can/willing to do either

Thanks! It works
I cannot get it off the mount I’ve tried every thing. It just won’t pop out. Pls help
Ugh my wire was too short and broke from connector
Thank you

Even with the nail in there it won’t come apart. Just moved in. Trying to switch it to us
What if it doesn't chime?
Thank you Thank you thank you soii much!!! 🫵👍

I can’t find the hole

Same
You have to delete it from the nest app first
How do you delete from Nest app. I can’t figure it out
@@loutoro59you gotta be fucking kidding me

Does anyone have a Nest doorbell customer service phone number ?
There is no one to call.
Neither a pin nor a paperclip will get the front of the device to "pop out." Stopped working after a week or so, ...really frustrating!

what a pain in the ass this thing is
This did NOT help, the pinhole doesn't even exist yours is clearly fake
I keep trying it, but the app still says "connected to another account"...Help...
