Reset Nest Hello to Factory Settings

This video will show you how to reset your Nest Hello back to factory default settings (hard reset). Warning this will clear all settings from your Nest Hello from wifi to face detection all settings will be reset. Only do this as a last resort or if you are selling the Nest Hello. Use the removal tool to remove the Nest Hello from the mounting plate. Then hold the Nest Hello doorbell button while inserting the removal tool in a small hole on the backside of the doorbell about an 1" from the top. Hold for about 10 seconds and the lights will go off on the Nest Hello and now it has reset. Wait until the blue light comes on and a chime has sounded before you unhook the wiring if you are selling it. Also, remove the Nest Hello from the app if you are selling it. Mine lost connection a week ago after turning quality to high.. Figured my weak wifi signal maybe..reprogrammed wifi 7 times still no connection... So Did reset like you showed twice and now my phone won't connect to it to set up the wifi :(. Probably need to turn off the Power again but it's a pain to get to.

I had to delete the smart home it was connected to after none of the devices were responsive. After doing so, I wasn't able to add the hello like I could with the home minis. That being said do I have to set up the doorbell from scratch in order to add it back in the nest app?

If you keep the same router with the same password, it should work at your new place. The only thing you may have to worry about is upgrading your transformer.
