The high quality steel and precision these were manufactured with is demonstrated in the smooth quiet movement of the machine. You would not get a modern machine running with this amazing balance and silence these machines do.
We would recommend have a good look at a machine of this vintage before you anticipate looking at an inferior quality machine of today.
yes it is a bold statement. But this has run for nearly a hundred years, still as smooth and precise as it was at the start, If maintained and looked after in another Hundred years it still would be steadily purring along.
