Penn BTLIII1000 Battle III Spinning Reels are finally here! The new version of the Battle uses the Spinfisher/Slammer architecture and adds CNC gears which are stronger, smoother and more durable than the previous generation. The BTLIII1000 features all aluminum construction with six sealed stainless steel ball bearings and a great handle! Whether you are freshwater fishing or saltwater ultralight fishing, you are going to love the BTLIII1000! Penn used their HT-100 drag system which is their best drag system. Penn continues to impress with their products! Love how they bring their high dollar innovations to the lower tier reels while still keeping prices reasonable.
Really blown away by how much they're packing into this reel without the price going way higher.
the look of both the slammer body and the spool design really gives it a classy look for its price range, nothing tacky looking about it
Appreciate the review. Thank you 🙏
My pleasure!
I got two battle 3 1000s on the way!
Nice reel
Can you do 10000 next
how does it feel spinning compared to the battle 2, smoother? lighter spinup?
any chance you can review the slammer type battle 3?
Very nice!!
What kind of lubrication do they use? I have a battle ll and it gets really hard to reel when it gets dunked in water.
Don't dunk them, they aren't designed to be repeatedly dunked
@@Nofishnoclue I don't "repeatedly" dunk the reel. However shit happens when you fish. They should be designed for getting wet and if not then I won't buy another.
@@chrisledford380 They said you was STUPID...and they was RIGHT!!!!
@@chrisledford380 hope you have realized no fishing rod is going to work properly after being dropped in water
Can i have it?
is it better than the daiwa bg?
Would you take this reel over the Daiwa BG?
thats what I want to know too
.
@@philmcafee343 ?
Just waiting for the same response you are
I own a diawa bg 1500 which I like but I’m curious
is this reel good for casting ?
I hv a battle 2 , 4000 n I love it.
Good.. 👍
7.8 oz for a 1000 size reel?? man it is just as much as a daiwa exceler lt 3000! wich, i get it, mostly a composite reel, but its also larger.. this being a full metal body and rotor seems like an overkill imho.
*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*
